I feel that i should review previous week results now.
On friday Ive started a little game "flat space".
This is my first attempt to create a game for one game a month.
I was inspired by dune universe, where navigators consume spice to navigate through space. They need it because it is hard for human to take in account all the objects movements on the route.
So, i decided to take that idea and rename spice to luck (Luck is the topic of november 1gam).
In my game, you need luck in order to navigate through space during "jump". You can jump with no luck or with semi-full supply of luck, but then you will probably (the probability depends on amount of luck you have) have to solve a small puzzle-like minigame (not programed yet).
During these 3 days, Ive done pretty big job: the game now has tutorial with texts and triggers, parallax background, torpedo launcher, which can smash asteroids to some fuel and luck fragments and asteroids themselves, which can collide with ship, torpedo or with each other. Asteroid-asteroid collision can lead either to creation of single bigger asteroid or to creation of two smaller ones, depending on sizes of asteroids and some randomness.
Now im planning to finish tutorial level, and add space jumps. I have an idea for a pretty cool effect (at least it is cool in my head) inspired by 2000s Supernova movie. Cant wait to implement it all =)
