After holding a seizing cat for a half hour today, who did not respond to iv diazepam, I want everyone who gets OTC flea and tick preventatives to read their packaging carefully. Please do not apply products designed for dogs to cats. An otherwise healthy cat met his untimely end today because his owners did not read the packaging or see the pictures of dogs on the front. I did not plan on crying at work today

you can get capstar and it's generics (fast caps and quick caps are the ones I'm remembering now) at walmart, petsmart, etc. Just make sure to get the one for smaller dogs if you go that route!

I used capstar on noodle dog when I first picked her up off the street after a bath. I think many topicals are safe for pups 8 weeks and up, so like revolution, advantage/advantix etc. Mine have all been on stuff since 8 weeks.

I for some reason though topicals were for older 6 month + pups. I’ll look into that. 

Those caplets are for current fleas, right? Not a preventative? 

Watson gets Advantix II which wards against fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. You need it all in Ga!
