Would someone with an Aussie or other dog affected by MRD1 mind messaging me?

I thought I had my dewormer/heartworm preventative for my future Border Collie or Aussie figured out, but I’ve been hearing things about Trifexis causing dog injury and death? Snopes is undetermined on if its true, and reading reviews of Trifexis online, most people don’t report any of the symptoms like the people whose dogs were affected have.

Or if there’s a better one, please let me know! I was looking for a dewormer/heartworm preventative that didn’t have ivermectin in it so it’d be safer for an Aussie/BC. Any help would be appreciated.

Welp, it's official. I'm calling the vet tomorrow and taking Nappy off Trifexis. After seeing what happened with Dylan Corgitude today, I'm persuaded to believe Nappy's seizure in November was caused by Trifexis, which he had taken one week before his seizure occurred.

Nappy is due for his Trifexis on the 22nd, so I'm calling tomorrow so we can go see the vet sometime next week.

Anything else I should know regarding heart worm preventatives?
