California Dreamin’ - The Mamas and Papas - Just sing along with this song, it’s so fucking easy. My mother showed this song to me and ever since then we just both sing so loudly to this in the car.

banana pancakes - Jack Johnson - It’s cute, come on.

The Night We Met - Lord Huron - am I really the only one who isn’t over 13 reasons why?

Survival - Muse - I was so hyped when I found out that they would be making the olympic song in England that year. Awesome.

If I Get High - Nothing But Thieves - Ya’ll I love my bois nbt, his voice is just so nice and the songs overall are just great. After Muse, this is my favorite band for sure.

Het Dorp - Wim Sonneveld - lol, sorry I’m doing this to you guys since it’s dutch and probably not really your style of music, but it’s my childhood music, so this song hits me very deep every time.

Let It Be - The Beatles - It’s just so beautiful, not only the sound but also the lyrics. 

Govinda -  Kula Shaker - I’ve known this song for so long and just recently found out that the band are all white, I was honestly so shook.

The Chain - Fleetwood Mac - I loved Guardians Of The Galaxy so much wtf, and the music was also so lit omg I want to watch it again.

Bad - U2 - I actually found this song recently and couldn’t stop listening to it. Of course I’ve known U2 for a while now, but this song I’ve apparently missed.

Amar Pelos Dois - Salvador Sobral - So my mom and I were so fucking hyped when he won, like this guy deserves that eurovision onehunderdfuckingprocent. He is so cute too wtf. And yes, I can’t understand it lol

City Of Blinding Lights - U2 - yo, besides Muse and nbt, this band gives me the fucking chills. I’ve known them from the moment I first ever heard music probably, since my father is a huge U2 fan and plays it endlessly in the house.

Article: Harry Styles joins tribute to Fleetwood Mac for MusiCares Benefit

January 26, 2018: Harry Styles joined Lorde, Haim, OneRepublic, and other artists influenced by Fleetwood Mac to give a special performance as tribute honoring the band as recipients of MusiCares 2018 Person of the Year. Held in New York at Radio City Music Hall this was the first time that a band was honored for the prestigious award. Some past recipients have included Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Bonnie Raitt, Neil Young and Tom Petty yet for the first time Fleetwood Mac, the band, will be celebrated. MusiCares chose Fleetwood Mac to honor this year for their extraordinary creative accomplishments and their extensive charitable contributions.

When the selection was announced, Neil Portnow, president and CEO of the MusiCares Foundation and the Recording Academy, stated: “Our 2018 MusiCares‘s Person of the Year tribute is a celebration of firsts — the first time our annual signature gala will be held in New York City in 15 years, and the first time in the benefit’s history that we will honor a band. This excitement is only matched by the genuine thrill and privilege of paying tribute to Fleetwood Mac, a legendary and influential group of artists whose music has provided the soundtrack for music lovers around the world.”

Many artists, like Harry, have mentioned Fleetwood Mac’s impact on their musical career. Harry performed a cover of Fleetwood’s hit single “the Chain” from their Rumors album on his past world tour.

Indeed, as Harry was launching his solo career at the Troubadour in May of last year, he welcomed Stevie Nicks to his stage for a rare performance.

    Mick Fleetwood wrote a statement about the band’s reception of the award (members include Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks, Lindsay Buckingham, Bobby and Christine McVey): “It’s a tremendous honor to be the first band to receive the MusiCares Person of the Year award. Independently and together, we all set off on a journey to spend our lives as artists, songwriters and musicians. None of us did it alone and there were plenty of helping hands along the way, so we applaud and celebrate MusiCares’ guiding principles of giving musicians a helping hand and a place to turn in times of need.”

This is the 28th year that the annual Person of the Year tribute celebration will be providing essential support for MusiCares, which ensures musicians have a place to turn in times of financial, medical, and personal need.

  At the concert last night, Harry performed with Fleetwood Mac “the Chain” the only single from the 1977 album Rumors that is credited to all the band members, which Harry has covered during his own tour as well, as stated above. In introducing Fleetwood Mac Harry stated: “Ladies and gentlemen, there are several things that I thought I would never be doing in my life: 1. is sharing a stage with these legends. I am one of the babies that Stevie was talking about earlier.”

Für diesen Geburtstag sind wir extra auf die benachbarten, sächsischen Dörfer gefahren. Herzliche Umarmungen und Kartoffelsalat sind unsere Begrüßung. Klassiker! Will noch jemand Sekt? Die Musik wird lauter. 80er und 90er Hits sind doch wirklich ein Grund, um von der Holzbank aufzustehen. Alle drehen sich im Kreis mit weit ausgebreiteten Armen oder versuchen wie Patrick Swayze zu tanzen. Hey, Baby. Der Geruch von Kuchen, Autan und feuchtem Gras vermischt sich in der Luft. Hör mal genau hin, sage ich. Dieses Lied soll irgendwann auf meiner Hochzeit gespielt werden. Das habe ich mir immer gewünscht, denke ich und versuche auf die Takte einen Walzer zu tanzen. Wahrscheinlich denken sich das alle, sobald sie Fleedwood Mac über die Lautsprecher hören. Ich blicke zum Himmel. In diesen Juninächten wird es fast gar nicht richtig dunkel. Die Hände fest am Sekt. Das Lächeln im Gesicht reicht mir. Ich schließe kurz die Augen und versuche mir diesen Moment vorzustellen. Ein weißes Kleid. Alle Familien und Freunde sind versammelt. Lichterketten. Die Arme um deinen Hals gelegt. Du. Dieses Lied. I want to be with you everywhere. Vielleicht gehen Wünsche in Erfüllung.
