My bf forced me to read the summoner series, its actually pretty good so far. Finished book 1 last night. I really want to see how good the second one is.

Its super digestible as its a YA, trying to decide if its almost too digestible? Like to the point that it lacks depth? cant decide, but I think the second book will be better? Hopefully. Anyone whos read it got any opinions? 😭

It's true. I cosplayed Fletcher for a March is Reading Month event at my school and posted a picture on Instagram, and Taran Matharu (the author of the book he's from) noticed it. It was very exciting.

A serious question; do you ship Fletcher and Seraph? :')

It's been a few years since I read the Summoners series (about due for a reread tbh, I love that series a lot), so I don't remember Seraph very well, I'm afraid. From what I do remember about him though, I really liked him as a character! I don't particularly ship him with Fletcher, but I think they could make a cute couple, especially since Seraph was given a status as a noble. There's good potential for a political marriage au 👀

Anyways, if we're being honest my otp for Fletcher has gotta be Othello, all the way. I just really love the whole best friends to lovers trope, and Fletcher already has a really sweet relationship with Othello's family! The relationship between Othello's dad and Berdon is also really nice.

so basically, i’ve began some MEGA gonna-be-awesome summoner fanfics (currently mainly focused around sylva/the elves in general bc holy SHIT theres not enough info about their culture), but i wanna make sure i’ve progressed with them slightly so i dont end up fucking up my plot points or whatever (yes this is SERIOUS stuff my people)
