For some reason the top result for "Bayeux tapestry font" is not the correct, up-to-date one on any search engine I've tried... this is the Bayuex tapestry font.
Explore King Harold, a unique typeface from Harold's Fonts, available now Free Download.
Its name is "King Harold" and it was designed by Harold's Fonts. These fonts' Harold (Lohner) embroidered the letters himself to be sure he was getting it right. From the original release:
Although armed with photographs, including some very good close-ups, I still wanted more detail to get the right feel. So I embroidered all the letters and numbers I needed, in imitation of the style of the original, and made the font from scans of my embroidery. I’ve included all the characters that appear on the Tapestry, plus those needed to fill out a modern font. (J, K, U,and Z do not appear in the original.)
At the left is the whole of the alphabet portion of my embroidery, which takes the form of a word-search puzzle containing at least 20 words related to the Tapestry. No prizes for finding them all!
Did you know in the french translation, Hiccup is called Harold? Did you also know that there was a REAL king Harold rounjd that time and place? Anyway here's fanart based on
So many things to discuss this week!
So both Shanks & Teach are from God Valley!!!! & Rocks & Blackbeard are part of the Davy Clan!
I wonder if all D.'s are part of the Davy Clan or if Davy Jones is just another carried of the will of D.? If the D. just stood for Davy then there wouldn't be a need for Davy to have a middle initial D. so I can't wait for Oda to clarify this.
And Damn Harold - I assume he will be following Rocks to God Valley to try and kill him, but seeing the hunting game will hopefully turn him against the Govt, finally seeing thier true nature!.
Also we finally meet Dragon as a marine, it looks like he was just a cadet at God Valley so the theories of him being a former Admiral have likely been debunked as it makes sense that this was the incident that radicalised him against the World Govt. --- Unless he stuck around untill Ohara, and initially attempted to change the system from within like Garp, rising to Admiral rank till Ohara. I mean if Luffy can become a Yonko in 2 years, why can't Dragon become an Admiral is <20.
Interesting that Dragon looks like he'll be the one to save Shanks & Shamrock at God Valley. Since he is a cadet he'd be too weak to protect them fighting, so Ia ssume he put them in the chests, Shanks ending up on Rogers ship, but Shanrock staying with his father.
I wonder who will end up saving Teach - Kuma would be likely candidate considering how many victims he was able to save.
I also wonder how Garlimg knew Teach (and his mother?) were part of the Davy clan, as that is most likely the dicovery he made which led to God Valley being the site of the hunting games this year.
Btw, in the storyboards of Shrek 2, they had Tinkerbell make a cameo. Was kicked out of the Poison Apple (calling the cyclops bouncer a “jerk-off” even) as there’s a no fairies rule to the place. She’d briefly try and sell King Harold pixie dust.
You can tell the storyboards were having fun with this scene.
