What Clan/Bloodlines The Vampires Would Fit In The Most
I'm in a mood again to rewatch the School for Little Vampires series, and as I'm doing that after having gotten into World of Darkness, I like to see what paralels the show has to Vampire: The Masquerade, and I will categorize the mentioned vampires in what Clan or Bloodline they'd fit based on my observations
================================================
Count Alarich von Horrificus - Lasombra
The director of the vampire school, he is a strict man who respects the ways of vampires, teaching his class how to unlock their potential as well as learning about their history. He is the uncle of the protagonist Oskar von Horrificus and often reminds him about the greatness of the family name.
First off; being over 420 years old definately puts him in Elder status (300 years of Unlive), so he'd likely be at least of the 7th generation. The reasons why I think he'd be a Lasombra is, most obvious first, his in-universe mastery over his shadow, having been shown to be the best at it on-screen. Lasombras have their signature Power/Discipline Obtenebration, which allows them to manipulate shadows and the dark.
He also always wears almost all black clothes like all Lasombras are depicted. Something that the Lasombra are also known for are their Darwinist philosophies, which means they prefer members who have build themselfes up to be strong and successful people through hardship and don't tolerate weakness unlike their Ventrue counterpart who are powerful and rich through virtue of already having been born into or granted high positions.
I think his job as a teacher who tests the new generations to reach their heights through honest work is a perfect role most fitting for a Lasombra. As well that his family name must be one build on merits and strive, which makes sense for a Lasombra to remind another one of, to have them better not dissapoint. Lasombras by default can't cast a reflection. Which is the default for all vampires in the show but I'm adding it for the consistency.
Lady Kryptina - Toreador
Kryptina is a professor at the school and mainly teaches Physical Excercise. She is Gruftine's inspiration for beatuy, and Kryptina in-universe is most beautiful, beautiful enough to trick the zealous vampire hunter Polidori to fall for her even though they were very close to the school, which normally would've ticked Polidori off.
Toreador are the Clan "known for being some of the most beautiful, sensual, seductive, emotional and glamorous of the Kindred", which is very evident for her to fit, as well as being the adult vampire who has shown the most conserns for her student's safety.
Her being focused on exercise for herself and her students, as well as it contributing to her beauty, can also be seen as an artistry she enjoys.
Note. She is based on the characters Lucy Westenra, who, if you'd count her as canon, is a 6th generation Tzimisce, who are the clan of 'Flesh Masons' who can change their looks and those of others as well as doing this like an artistic passion, suffering included. Tzimisce would be the second best clan for her, but she is much more a Toreador that the Tzimisce would be too loose to have her based on.
Toreador also have the Discipline Presence, which is pretty much emotional manipulation, and it fits with how Kryptina can sways people.
Professor Oxblood - Nosferatu
Oxblood is the teacher who teaches about general things like history, morality, and powers like hypnotism and shadow powers.
Nosferatu is the clan known for being absolutely grotesque looking as well being the most skilled in being spies and information gatheres. Their outcast culture and being forced to live in the sewers and other hidden places make them usually reliable when it comes to getting information, and in a way that fits for a general teacher like him, and although he looks far from an WOD Nosferatu, he very much is one on account of his rat teeth, balding hair, and thick bushy eyebrows.
Not to mention the character he is inspired of is Count Orlock, the central vampire of the Nosferatu novel, which you know, it is all on the nose.
Nosferatu have natural access to the Discipline Obfuscate, which is mind manipulation power similar to Hypnosis.
Lenny - Ghoul/Revenant
Lenny is the custodian of the school and does the more menial and janitorial jobs there, and although Alarich turned/embraced him, he is not a full-fledged vampire. Sure he has the looks and immortality, but he can't turn into a bat or use vampire powers like everyone else, so on account being Alarich's eternal servant he'd be closer to a Ghoul.
Ghouls in VTM are humans who have drank the blood, or Vitae, of vampires, which enacts like a super drug that make the imbiber more obsessed on getting it by serving the giving vampire, which if done more times make them a loyal Ghoul who have the benefits of living longer and stronger.
It goes a step closer to vampirsm though and that is being a Revenant. Those are Ghouls who through a hereditary condition produce Vitae on their own, but those specifically arise from generations of Ghouls, so whichever fits better for Lenny is up to debate I say.
Oskar von Horrificus - Brujah
Oskar is hard to pin down because of his kind nature, which to me makes him closest to the Brujah.
The Brujah Clan vampires were historically warrior-scholars with phylosophies, but in time they degenerated into punks and brutes with their clan weakness being that they are easy to be frenzy as. They have a parent bloodline called the True Brujah who are much more calm but enforce themselfes to act emotionless and have time powers, which fits Oskar even less.
Him being a Brujah makes most sense as his lifestyle and priorities challenges the status quo of vampire society and would most likely act as some kind of heroic vigilante, which fits the Brujah.
Stoker Grimtale Cryptcrawler III - Old Clan Tzimisce
Stoker is egotistical, very embracing of his vampire nature with little regards to humans or sometimes even fellow vampiress, narcissistic, but doesn't have much to show for it. Despite that, as a kid he shows great potential to be of the Old Tzimisce.
So, regular Tzimisce are mostly a part of the Sabbat opposing the Camarilla. With the former being a religious sect who want to embrace their vampiric beast more and want to take over all humans, where the latter is the biggest vampire government who are more passionate about hiding from plain sight and control human lifes in the shadows.
Tzimisce use their Discipline Vicissitude, flesh and bone shaping, to change their own flesh to look less human and more alien, as well as turning human and vampire victims into things like furniture, monsters, and lobotomized servants. They are most rejecting of humanity and usually embrace the agony that goes into what they make, trying to reach greater heights. They are contested to being the most evil of the clans.
Old Tzimisce are the ones who didn't accept using Vicissitude and instead use Dominate, as well as being able to use blood sorcery called Koldunic Sorcery to control the 4 elements and even spirits.
They are very much inspired of Dracula (especially Old Clan), of which Stoker also is.
Stoker loves being a vampire and thinks little of humans, as well having shown to be able to manipulate people.
He'd best fit with the Old Clan because he doesn't have the signature flesh shaping powers besides his bat transformation which every vampire in the show has, and with Dominate, which is about mental domination, it fits him.
Ashley von Ghoulfangs - Toreador
Ashley is a vampire who made contact with sunlight and turned into a sentient pile of ash. A condition that isn't a thing in VTM but most unique to the cartoon.
If his past life with his love for theatre as well as that one episode where he enjoyed being a human museum attraction, he'd obviously fit Toreador as well.
In a funny but cruel way he may secondly be a Nosferatu, specifically a Cleopatra. People who have been turned out of spite by the Nosferatu because of their beauty. And as an ash he would't exactly look appealing in either human or vampire standarts.
Klot Tratzum - Caitiff
Klot doesn't have any noteable characteristics that magnetises him to any actual Clan. We know he is a toddler, has the basic but weak vampire powers, and has skills in playing the piano.
Caitiffs are vampires that either:
A: Don't know by which clan they have been embraced into and by the abandonment of their Sires (vampire who turned another to a vampire) they are disregarded as outcasts.
B: On a biological level do not belong to a Clan and so have no clan weakness or base three Disciplines.
So for someone as inexperienced and clueless a Klot, that might fit him the most.
Leechy von Lebanlos - Tremere
Leechy is a highly intellectual mechanical inventor, and while he posesses little interests in the arcane arcs, he does have the inventive pursuit to match.
Tremere are a rather younger Clan who had their origins in Mages, specifically the Order of Hermes from Mage: The Ascension. They are the most proficient when it comes to using magic rituals, often geometry and mathematics themed, and their inside government 'The Pyramid' is a meritocracy which encourages, though actually forces, for Tremere vampires to show progress and new gains in power. The Tremere were vital in bringing the other clans into the modern world, to embrace most on modern technology, societal structures, the economy, and so on.
Leechy being a very intelligent inventor who makes fantastic though failing contraptions makes him a great fit as a Tremere.
Gothetta Gothetticus - Toreador
It is also rather obvious.
Gothetta gives much focus on her beauty, Kryptina being her inspiration, as well to how often she is the voice of reason for the group, despite her obvious jealousy over the human Sunshine on who Oskar has a crush on.
She is also talented in Botany and Alchemy, the former being someting that fit the Toreador with their symbol being a rose, and although Alchemy fits the Tremere more, her usage of it focuses more on the affects of appereance.
