Some fantastic photos taken by a fellow flying friend Phil on the ground shortly after beginning my second flight from #stanageedge on saturday last. A little while after this I found a booming thermal and took it straight to base at nearly 6000 ft and went off on my 40km journey on the Rise 4 #thermalmonkey. It was such a great flight, filled with strong booming lift, gentle rising bubbles above towns and incredible views flying high above a Cessna, Islander and sail plane while far above Sheffield and Rotherham. I’ll be posting helmet cam photos and videos from this flight for a while I think haha. Finally managed to get my feet off the ground all be it not under my own wing! Its been a while for all us pilots in England so i some ground training was definitely needed on Saturday, then with a good refresh session done I went for a nice little jaunt in the sky on Sunday.
