February 1st: Kafka/Soshiro (KN8)
Prompt: Shy
Your Love is My Drug
The day was coming to an end, and Kafka Hibino was absolutely, utterly pooped. He was exhausted, dripping with sweat, and in desperate need of a shower. Good thing he could get one. His room wasn’t dirty, per se, but it definitely wasn’t clean. Kafka stepped gingerly to his bathroom, for it was almost midnight. He had to be quiet, out of fear of waking his comrades, or worse, his higher-ups.
There was one higher-up that had Kafka’s eye. No, it wasn’t their beautiful, strong captain. It was his equally handsome, incredible vice-captain. Soshiro Hosina, oh how that name made him turn to mush. Kafka often found himself blushing and stuttering whenever the man was around.
And, of course, Hoshina would smirk at him knowingly.
If Kafka Hibino didn't know any better, he’d assume the vice had an interest in him too. Kafka blushed as he peeled off his sweaty suit, it couldn’t be possible. He ran hot water, standing there in his briefs, staring at the wall. A one-sided crush was not on his list of things he expected from joining these ranks.
A knock on Kafka’s door had him jumping. “Coming!” he shouted as quietly as possible, wrapping a towel around his lower half.
He approached the door, hand shaky as he grabbed the handle to open it.
There, in front of Kafka Hibino, stood Soshiro Hoshina, a smirk on his all-knowing face and hands crossed over his chest.
“You’re up late,” he said in that smug tone that always shot Kafka in the heart. He could only nod dumbly.
“Why?”
“...Shower,” Kafka tore his eyes off of the man in front of him, casting it instead downward.
“And why is it that you need to take a shower at,” the vice captain checked the time, “12:15 AM?”
Kafka started, it was that late already? Damn, he’d sorely undershot the time.
“Ah- I- thought it was still before 11:30,” his hand went to the nape of his neck, rubbing as his cheeks flushed. Hoshina gave him a disbelieving look, smirk still evident on his face. This made Kafka turn even more red, sweating for an entirely different reason now. He fights to keep his gaze down, but Hoshina’s hand on his cheek has him looking up in surprise.
“You know you don’t have to hide your feelings from me,” he smiles in earnest, thumb stroking Kafka’s cheek. “It’s not against the rules for a vice captain to be with one of his subordinates, I promise.”
