Kacey didn’t grow up in Florence, Louisiana. he was born in savannah, Georgia. he was adopted by two loving mothers. growing up he was always curious about who his birth parents were. and when he asked his mothers they didn’t have much information on them since it was a closed adoption. though they wanted Kacey to have any information on them as possible. they were very supportive when they found out he wanted to find out who his parents were. when he contacted his brith parents they wanted nothing to do with him. and his mothers helped him bounce back from that.

becoming a cop was something he always wanted to do. hearing the stories his mother would tell him of getting rid of the streets of bad guys was something he always wanted to do. back in high school he dealt with the embarrassment of having his momma as a history teacher. they always had to endure those awkward times when she would hear the rumors of the sleeping around he did.

when he graduated high school he went to the police academy. he had the option to go get a degree in criminal justice but didn’t want to go to school. as he recently married his high school sweetheart, they couldn’t afford the both of them to go to college. so his wife did, while the police academy was the route for him.

by nineteen he and his wife had their first child together. it was hard balancing school and a baby, but they both found a way to make it work. this had to be the most exciting part of his life. having a child and being married to the love of his life what could possibly go wrong?

his wife who was apart of the mob had gone out with the girls one night. and someone from the rival mob group hit the girls car. as they were very drunk. it took a while for Kacey to get back on his feet. being only nineteen, widowed and having a young child it was a lot. his mothers happily helped him out in his time of need. they knew how distraught he was.

finally he went back to the police academy graduating just a year later than what he was. he put all his time into his son and moving his way up the ranks in the job force. by the time he reached five years with the police he became an undercover cop. mostly working with college students and drugs.

a couple years later he had a child with Jude. they have a son named Nate and he’s two years old. Kacey says that Nate’s mother passed. so nobody but Jude knows that the kid is hers. Kacey obviously has full custody of him. and besides work his two children mean the world to him.

Kacey like to think of himself as the cool dad. even though he’s not very cool. if he’s not working or spending time with Nate he’s probably being hella lame, like reading (even though me irl, is obsessed with reading.) or probably going to the gym.

he doesn’t drink often. if he does it’s like a beer or two. he’s never smoked or does drugs and doesn’t want to.

also the rumor is true. he still wears his wedding ring from his first marriage. to this day he still loves his first wife. and he’ll even admit to that.

alright, so she was once arrested bc a cop thought she was a hooker and she will gladly share this story bc she thinks it’s fucking hilarious. really she was just chillin’ on a corner, trying to enjoy a smoke after a show but apparently, her clothes, disheveled appearance, and messy eye makeup told another story

speaking of shows, she’s in a band (basically paramore bc i’m v original) and has been for at least a decade, so they’re rather well known

growing up with her mom often gone and the structure she was raised in, she acted out quite a lot when she was younger... parties, sleeping around, drinking, drugs, etc. most of which she outgrew with age but she has struggled with drug addiction since her mid-teens

she poofed for a while in hs bc she went to rehab but most people in town think she ended up pregnant or smth. i haven’t decided if that’s an untrue rumor or not but she did def go to rehab

she’d been sober for a good idk 6 or 7 years (tho she still smoked pot so i use that word loosely) but recently relapsed and is low key struggling with that

spencer grew up in his older brother’s shadow, and he knew from day one he was never going to measure up to junior. 

note: spencer’s adopted. his parents adopted him, like, before he was even born, and his adoption records were sealed. when he turned 18 he was allowed to look at them, but didn’t see a point. love em or hate em, these are his parents. 

so, in typical fashion, spencer was. a handful. but in typical wentworth fashion, you sure never heard about it. spencer? he’s an angel, why do you ask? truthfully, he was always acting out, and his parents always had to get him out of trouble. vandalism, trespassing, underage alcohol consumption, that was just the beginning. they thought he’d outgrow that lifestyle.

spencer ended up being homeschooled. they tried keeping him in a regular school, but he just. refused. he would cut class or opt out of doing his work, and it would not look good on the wentworth family to have their son repeat a grade just because he won’t apply himself. they also thought by doing that they’d be able to keep him away from the crowd he’d started falling in with, keep him from embarrassing them. 

but things only escalated from there. it wasn’t uncommon for spencer to sneak out and be gone for a couple days at a time, doing god knows what with god knows who. and that, dear reader, is how he met halcyon. 

halcyon dupont lived three towns over in an apartment she shared with her older sister. she stood 4′10 at 16 years old and when spencer first saw her she was slamming an empty beer bottle against some guy’s head. she was eeeeeeeverything his parents wanted him to avoid at that point in his life, and the 17 year old was smitten. 

for the next few years they had a sort of on and off, more than friends but not quite dating sort of dynamic. it could have been simplified to friends with benefits, but. there was more to it than that.

like most things, though, it came to a screeching halt in the most cliche of ways. hallie ended up pregnant. she was 19 and he was 20, and neither one of them was, like, really ready to be a parent, but they went for it. 

esther dupont-wentworth was born with...some complications. it was Stressful as fuck. and that, really, marked the beginning of a very, very bad downward spiral.

**rich people do cocaine ok they just do. and hallie, unfortunately, was dating a rich boy. so, cocaine. and, yeah, spencer was definitely addicted, but hallie was like. addicted. the two of them had a routine. they’d drop esther off with spencer’s parents, disappear for a couple days, and then resurface. this went on for, like, two years, until spencer’s parents had had enough. his dad basically told them to either straighten the hell up, and do right by their kid, or she’d be their kid, and the two of them could see how far they got without the wentworth fortune. he wasn’t running a babysitting company. so, they both went to rehab. and they did better, really, they did. except. hallie caved. she got spencer to get her coke, after, like, almost two years of being clean, and...she ODed. it was a complete accident, her body no longer accustomed to the high dosages she used to need to get high. and. she died. she was 23. spencer was 24. esther was 4. spencer had to explain to his-- their four year old daughter that her mother was dead. and that. that broke him.**

spencer suffered a nervous breakdown and was hospitalized for like 2 weeks after hallie died. if asked, though, he had a serious case of pneumonia. he’s still absolutely consumed by guilt, and can’t shake the thought that he’s the reason his daughter doesn’t have a mother anymore. if he’d just told her no, kept telling her no, didn’t give in and give her what she thought she wanted, she’d still be alive. 

but he keeps up that perfect facade, even now. even after losing the mother of his child, even after losing his father, even after learning his father had been an unfaithful dickhead. everything’s fine.

at this point, esther is his whole life. she’s everything to him. that’s his princess and he would do anything for her. in a way, she’s all he has left. 

spencer’s ditched his wild, partying ways for habits that border on obsessive compulsive. everything has an order and a routine and it needs to be done just so, at exactly the right time. after he got sober, spencer pursued a graphic design degree, feeling like he’d finally found his true passion. and. that’s what he does now. he wants no part of the company. truthfully, a part of him wants no part of his family.

hello hello it’s time for the show.

it’s me again, sofia. i also play virginia kennedy! this here is my second muse, and her name is arden chae, and boy does she have one heck of a backstory. truthfully though, i feel like if i even tried to explain it, i would absolutely explain it wrong. the only parts of it that i know i’ll get right are the fact that she was born into a craaaazy strict cult. she was brought up to worship these three dudes who thought that they were like...prophets or something. either way, they’re super bad people. 

arden, as a child, was pulled out of school after like...the fourth grade and was forced to learn how to do the “womanly” things around the house, like cook and clean and care for children. however, that was never enough for arden. she would constantly sneak around and teach herself the information that the cult would teach the little boys, and kept up with all her chores at the same time. bruh if she’d ever been found out she would have been in sooooooooo much trouble. 

she was 15 years old when she finally had enough. it was after her father had given her a list of “suitable mates” for her to choose from of guys that were like 10-15 years older than she was and honestly arden was like ‘HELL NAH’ and banded together with jinsoul and kathy in order to escape. she was the youngest of the three. ever since the three of them freed themselves, they’ve been going back to help break out more people. it’s....insanely risky. if they get caught, bad shit would happen to them. but arden doesn’t care. she doesn’t want people to end up as mindless slaves just because they didn’t know any better.

this is what brings me to discuss her secret! about 2 years ago, when on a trip to go and rescue more people from the cult, arden got caught. in order to make sure she and those that she rescued were able to make it out, she had to kill the man who caught them. that man just so happened to be her father. no one but her knows about this.

so!! with that dark stuff out of the way, let’s get into arden as a person! she’s a very courageous girl that is always willing to put others before herself. like, she’d be the person to push you out of the way of a moving train and get hit herself. she takes selfless to a whole new level. she’s also really, really smart. no one would guess that she had to teach herself everything she knows. they’d assume she got the same education as everyone else. right now, she’s studying at florence community college as a law student and working as a full time waitress at a local restaurant to help keep her pay of the rent of the home that she shares with those she’s helped rescue from the cult. she is a pretty no-nonsense kinda gal, but if you manage to convince her to let loose, then you’re in for a fun night. she’s definitely the kinda girl you’d want as a friend, even if she might be a liiiiittle too over protective.

JAMES you don’t know me but I know you. a (lawyer) who (always puts liquor in their morning coffee) and people think you’re this (clever) (grifter) but really you’re just (aloof). rumor has it that (he bribed a judge for custody of his children) but the truth is (his real family put a hit out on him). worry not, I can keep a secret.. for now. name’s actually leonardo russo or it was.

born and mostly raised in italy, to a prominent mafia fam. his uncle, however, had moved to the states rather young and gotten involved with the dixie mafia early on. long story short, stuff went down in italy and leonardo’s fam moved to the states and started working with the dixie mafia instead. he was 16/17ish at the time.

soooo his accent isn’t too heavy anymore but it does show up when he gets upset/angry or really tired.

during his time with the dixie mafia he mostly worked as a hitman/the muscle, the one never afraid to get his hands dirty for his fam. bc he used to be the type of guy that would do anything for his fam and he considered all of them as such. he was also a very talented con artist, usually using his charm and looks to steal from wealthy men and women by pretty much seducing them and robbing them blind. but it also worked well for some hit contracts so eh. 

they pushed for him to go into law so they could have a lawyer in their pocket just in case things went south, so he does truly have a law degree, he’s just used to being a crooked lawyer. go figure.

now onto the reason, he turned. he fell in love with one of the dixie’s prostitutes and actually planned on running off with her since y’know you typically don’t get to just walk away from that kinda life. they had twins together and he loved her more than anything, he was even planning on asking her to marry him the night she ended up murdered. by one of the dixie’s ofc. they somehow found out she was planning on bailing and yeah. after that, he was done with all of them, even his own actual fam. who say he’s dead to them, so that’s fun.

knowing they’d probably never be safe with him, he left his kids with their grandmother (the girl’s mom) and headed to florence.

he doesn’t really care about what happens to him anymore tbh but thinks his new ‘fam’ should get a second chance at a ‘normal’ life so he’ll put on a fake face and play along as the friendly new neighbor.

has a slight drinking problem but listen, if you lost everything and your fam was trying to kill you, you probably would too.

wasn’t crazy about having to be engaged to someone bc that’s still kinda a sore spot for him but having to pretend to be engaged to a woman that looks like that... he ain’t mad.

he’s pretty guarded obvs but once you get past that he’s someone that will stick by you through thick and thin.

also super good at playing guitar, piano, and drums.
