They can regrow despite being subjected to harsh conditions and in Victorian flower code mean to be strong and keep going while they endure a difficult time, both of which fit him quite well, and (my favorite part), they're also associated medicinally with how they bring about calmness and reduce pain, which is exactly what he always tries to do for patients in sickbay, even if he's only able to do it in small, practical ways.

Like he may not be the most expressive, but he's consistently calm, has nearly endless patience, and is surprisingly gentle. His compassion shows in what he notices and does, not the way he might seem.

I'm thinking of getting her some flowers if she asks me to help her move; Nothing *wild*, but she really likes flowers and like she gives people flowers a lot so she ought to get to have some as well yk?

I'm thinking maybe these though idk if they'll be available or if she'll even want to use my car for her stuff but like. idk just some flowers for the new apartment might be kinda nice I hope:

They're pretty and kinda cottegecore (like her!), and while they do have some flower code meaning (that I don't have reason to believe she knows), they're not otherwise romantic like red roses or something so I think they're fine as a friend bouquet lol. Don't get me wrong I'd love it if it lead to something, but I don't think it's like. Creepy or anything to give her these.
