Fox is off to Mexico!
Well, Come Thursday, The Fox will be off to Mexico. All the sand, sun and waves you could want (not to mention salt, tequila, lime). I don't know what the exact time was when they made the decision to go or when she announced the vacation, but I know that there was time to get prepared.
The Fox has worked so hard! From Running to biking to Bodypump to Tabata to Yoga to Pilates to crunches and planks and squats and lunges galore..... Geez you name it, she did it. She kicked it into gear over the last 6 months for sure and is reaping the benefits. I don't see her much anymore, but I already know she is more that ready to show it all off in Mexico.
That drive and determination is to be admired. Whatever the goal is, eat healthier, run farther or faster, lift more, get ripped, get heart healthy, get toned and lean, lower cholesterol, gain flexibility, rehab an injury, or just improve overall quality of life, you can't quit. Set goals, keep working and you'll have success.
Fox, I hope you reached your goals for this Mexican vacation. If you think you didn't, just know that in my mind, you are already considered a success in my book. You are an inspiration to me and everyone that knows how hard you work. I'm so proud off you and I hope you have an absolute blast in Mexico!

My pants are getting too tight again..
And I'm feeling uncomfortable again. This is like, THE worst time of year. Corey's birthday is today so we had cake, tomorrow is my work Christmas party, Saturday is a family get together, Sunday we're going to my boy's dad's house and they're getting Chinese food, Monday we're supposed to be going to Kitchener to have sushi with my best friend who's home from Calgary, Tuesday is Christmas Eve, Christmas means Turkey dinner, the following weekend is more family things and visiting and it just goes on and on. Not to mention all the gifts people are giving me at work are treats and sweets and chocolate.
I love Christmas but this seriously blows. I don't have the self control for this.
First of Many Success Stories
Day 1 went really well. Local college students get in the gym at a really nice discounted rate, so that was awesome in and of itself.
Today I did a 30 minute mile on the treadmill, and I got some weight lifting in to help burn calories faster and boost my metabolism. I started the day with broccoli, sliced tomato, and sliced cucumber with a little bit of ranch (don't hate me for the ranch, it beats my normal breakfast faaaar and wiiiiide), and bottled water, so that was also great.
I wanted to quit after 7 minutes, but I pushed on through. The mind quits way before the body does. By January 16, I want to be able to do 2 miles in an hour, and get in twice as many reps, so that's exactly what I'm going to do.
"My Gym is Different"
And I am different because of my gym.
Vegan pulled pork! This stuff is AMAZING! Recipe here.
