Bob's room looked like a storm had blown through it.
His wardrobe, which was usually organized, was entirely emptied out with clothes covering every surface of the floor.
The drawers were half emptied, and most of his things were piled up on his bed and the floor.
While Bob himself was lying flat on his back with his phone's flashlight shining in his hand as he attempted to peek under his wardrobe.
He'd woken up and had felt slightly cold, so he'd decided on wearing his favourite hoodie.
But much to his surprise, it was nowhere to be found.
At first, he'd thought he must've left in the laundry or to dry but it was at neither of those places.
Then, he thought he might've tucked it in some corner of his wardrobe. Although that was highly unlikely since that hoodie always clung to him like a second skin.
He blew out an exasperated breath as he failed to recall where he might've left it.
At last, he ventured out of his room into the living room to find you, in hopes that you might have some idea about his beloved hoodie's whereabouts.
"Darling have you seen my -" the words died on his tongue as his gaze fell on you.
He looked at you, eyes wide open, mouth agape .
You were curled up on the couch, coffee in one hand and your phone in the other.
But it wasn't what you were doing that had caused him to be taken off guard.
You were wearing his hoodie, the very hoodie he'd turned the entire watchtower upside down trying to find.
And he was in love with how it looked on you.
It was, of course, far too big for you. The sleeves were pushed way up and bunched up around your elbows, and the hoodie practically reached up to your legs.
But seeing you in his hoodie, made him feel a sudden warmth in his chest. And suddenly, he didn't even need the hoodie anymore.
“Hmm?” you asked, l00king up from your phone.
You quickly set it down as you saw the look on his, "is something wrong, love? " you asked, concern washing over your features. "are you okay?"
"Y-yeah" Bob gulped. "Yeah I'm great!" he nodded.
“Okay that’s good” your features relaxed. “What were you gonna ask me?" you pouted.
"Oh it's just-" Bob took in the sight of you. "You're wearing my hoodie," he pointed out.
You blinked, "Oh" .
You looked down at the hoodie, "Yeah I got up this morning and it was kind of cold so I saw it and I just put it on," you explained.
"but really, I had been looking for an excuse to wear this for a while now," you chuckled.
A smile tugged at the corners of Bob's lips.
"it's so warm and fluffy, it's like i could sink it" you shifted in your seat to make space for Bob, who was heading your direction.
"it is, yeah" he smiled as he sat down next to you and wrapped his arm around you.
"oh and I can just pull the-" you set down your cup and pulled the cap of the hoodie over your head. "the cap's so big for me, it covers half my face, so I look like the main character from assassin's creed" you grinned as you explained.
Bob chuckled before slowly moving the cap away from your face and planting a kiss to your lips.
"You know," he began. "I was actually going crazy looking for this" he brushed his hand across the sleeve of the hoodie.
"my room is a complete mess, " he let out a slow, breathy laugh.
Your lips curled into a frown, "Oh no I didn't want to make you worry I'll help you clean up your room".
"Oh no don't apologise" Bob held your hand in his. "I love seeing you in this..." he slowly lifted a shoulder. "in my clothes".
You smiled.
"Okay good cuz I've been eyeing one of your flannels.." you began.
Bob laughed again, louder this time. "You can take whatever you like darling," he mumbled against your lips before kissing you once again.

You'd woken up to the faint noise of rain pouring outside.
You sat up on your bed, and felt a chill creep onto your skin, the moment you moved your blanket away.
So you quickly wrapped it around you once again, having the urge to stay warm for a little longer.
You heard quiet footsteps before the door creaked open and Ben poked his head inside.
"Hey you're up" he smiled before pulling the door fully open and stepping inside.
Comfort spread through your chest like warmth as you saw him.
His hair was still messy, loose curls going every way. He was dressed in a pair of trousers and a shirt whose colours were fading from being washed one too many times.
He had his coffee mug in one hand and a small towel on one shoulder.
"Good morning" he placed his cup on the bedside table before planting a kiss on your forehead.
"Morning," you smiled."What were you up to?" you asked as you passed a glance at the towel.
"Hmm?" he looked over at his shoulder. "Oh I was just doing last night's dishes,".
You winced as you remembered it was your turn to them, but you had forgotten. "Oh no I'm sorry, I completely forgot about it last night," you apologised.
"Oh no don't worry," he reassured you. "I don’t mind doing the dishes, " he shrugged. “Besides, you needed some rest.”
You moved sideways to make space for him as he settled beside you on the bed.
"You had a bad dream last night?" a crease formed between his brows.
Your expression softened, "Yeah, did I wake you?" you asked.
"Oh no I couldn't sleep honestly," Ben admitted. "You were talking in your sleep."
You sighed, as you fiddled with the rings on your fingers.
Despite having left the Lot weeks ago, the memories hadn't left either of you. They'd woven themselves to the lines on your palms.
And no matter how hard you tried to run away, tried not to remember them, they always caught up to you.
Both of you.
But it was easier with Ben by your side.
He quietly reached for your hand and brushed his thumb over your skin.
"It's not easy," he spoke, his voice merely a quiet murmur, intertwining like a melody with the sound of the rain.
"It's not easy to forget something like that, to move past it,".
He wrapped his hand around yours, "But I'm here".
You looked up to meet his gaze.
"I'm here by your side," he said again, with much more certainty. "And I always will be"
A smile crept onto your features, "I love you so much," you whispered, as if you were afraid that your own voice might shatter the peace if you spoke too fast, too loud.
He smiled before slowly wrapping an arm around you and pulling you closer to him.
"I love you too," he murmured, before placing a kiss on your knuckles.
You rested your head on his shoulders.
"Always will" he said, as he rested his head against your head.
His hand moved up and down your arm, gently caressing it as you held onto his other hand.
For a moment, there was only the sound of the rain gently pouring outside and the sound of your own breathing.
And you finally felt like you didn’t need to stay alarmed, to not need to have your guard up, to be searching for some form of danger.
For the first time in a long while, you felt safe. Because you were in the arms of the man in whose company you’d found your solace, in whose company you'd found the quiet, gentle, peaceful form of love.
On the bedside table, Ben's coffee had long gone cold, but he didn’t care.
Bonus
It was just the two of you, quietly wrapped in each other's arms, wanting for the moment to never end.
And of course, Mark.
He called out your name before barging into your room, "Hey have you seen my blue shirt that I-".
"Ugh ewww" he rolled his eyes in disgust as soon as he saw the two of you.
You and Ben quickly moved away from each other.
You sighed before pointing at a bag on the chair, "It's in there,".
Mark shook his head like a very disappointed parent before walking over to the chair.
Rhett Abott had been by your side, your entire life.
The two of you had grown up teasing each other and chasing each other through the fields. But you two didn’t have the kind of friendship usually two childhood best friends would.
You spent all your free time trying to come up with creative ways to make fun of one another.
But that didn’t stop you from spending as much time together as you possibly could.
So when your friend from outside the town invited you both to meet up, naturally, Rhett had suggested he’d drive you there.
And as of right now, you were on your way back to town.
You tapped to the beat of the song playing on the radio as Rhett drove through the empty roads.
A crease appeared between your brows when you noticed how slow the car was moving.
“Is the car slowing down?” you asked Rhett.
Rhett, who'd also noticed the same, frowned as he tried to press the accelerator.
But the car gave no response and eventually crawled to a stop.
You blinked, "What's going on?" you asked, panic rising .
"Shit" Rhett cursed under his breath before trying to get the car to start again.
But the engine only sputtered and gave low dying sounds before it stopped making sounds altogether.
"Wait, did your car just break down!?" You asked him, panic very clear in your tone.
He winced, "I think so".
"Oh no no no way” you started spiralling.
You looked out the window and there was nothing but trees and the open road for as long as eyes could see.
You checked your phone but there wasn't any signal.
“We’re in the middle of fuckin' nowhere!" you said. “With nothing near us for miles and no cell service,” you ran a hand through your hair.
"Well we're gonna be stranded," you nodded furiously. "We're gonna be stranded until a bear or something comes and tears us apart. and-"
"Woah woah woah calm down" Rhett held you by your shoulders. "Calm down, calm down" he gently shook you.
“We’re not stranded and no bear will tear us,”.
You nervously fidgeted with your hands.
"I'll just check the engine, I'm sure it can be fixed" he reassured you before stepping out the car.
You went out along with him.
“Can it be fixed?" you asked as you approached him.
Rhett ran a hand through his hair "Uh I don't think so,” he winced.
“the engine’s fried”
Your eyes widened, "What!?" .
"Oh my god we would not have had this problem had we just taken my car instead" you groaned.
Rhett rolled his eyes, "If we had taken your car, it would've taken us five to six business days to get there,".
"Uh probably but it would not have broken down in the middle of fuckin' nowhere" you threw up your hands in frustration.
"Oh my god-" he bit his lips.
"Okay look there's no use fightin' over my very well maintained ride-"
You groaned
"and your dumpster truck," he continued. "There's a town not far from here, we should be able to call a tow truck from there," he pointed in the direction of the woods.
"Yeah well how're we gonna get there genius," You planted a hand on your hip.
"By walking, genius" Rhett countered.
“You wanna walk through the damn woods when it just rained last night?” you parted your lips in disbelief.
"Yeah well do you have a better idea?" he gruffed.
You ran your hands through your hair, "Well this is it the bears are just waitin’ for their lunch to just march over to them." you started talking to yourself.
"Why are there bears in plural now!?" Rhett raised his hand in question. "Doesn't matter," he shook his head.
"And calm down, ain't no bear gonna eat us, these woods are harmless, and it won't take us long to get there," he reassured.
“Why can’t we just wait here until someone passes by?” you raised a hand in question.
“Because we don’t know if someone’s gonna come anytime soon and it’ll be dark soon’” Rhett crossed his arms infront on him.
You sighed, finally accepting your fate, “Fine, woods it is then,”.
***
The ground was still damp from last night's rain and mud clung onto your shoes as you walked.
”See? this isn't so bad now is it?" Rhett asked, as a smile crept on to his lips.
"Oh it absolutely is" you huffed.
You moved a branch away from your face as you walked ahead. “There are insects following us the whole way and my hand's covered in insect bites," you grimaced as you examined your hand that was turning an angry red.
Rhett winced as he saw your hand, "Oh no" he winced.
"Well atleast there are no bears..?" he offered weakly.
"not yet,” you pointed a finger.
"Could've easily avoided somethin' like this i we just took my car," you huffed.
"Your car makes noises worse like breeding cattle," Rhett countered.
You grimaced, "You go round listening to cattle breeding?" you looked up at him, eyebrows raised.
"Wha- no!" he exclaimed. "I live on a ranch!,"
You rolled your eyes, “whatever" you said.
"And no matter what noises my car makes at least it doesn't break down in the middle of nowhere," You huffed.
"Yeah if I'm remembering correctly, that very car drove you all the way over to the other side of town cuz you wanted to ice cream from your favourite place,” Rhett pointed out.
You bit your lip and averted your gaze down to your feet.
You remembered exactly how that day had gone.
Your so- called friends had all gone out together and didn’t bother even asking you.
And it was Rhett who had found you, crawled into a corner, crying behind the bleachers.
So he'd taken you all the way to the other side of the town to get you the ice cream you liked, so as to cheer you up.
You stayed silent, gave him no response, no snarky remark and quietly walked ahead.
"Didn't even get why you wanted to be friends with those girls so bad," Rhett shook his head slowly.
"They were just talking to you cuz you helped them with homework and let them cheat off your tests,”.
Your response came quietly, "Just wanted to have people who wanted to be around me,".
It was Rhett who didn't say anything then.
You were too wrapped in your own thoughts to see where you were going, and suddenly you lost your balance as your feet slipped into the mud.
And before you realised it, you were falling down.
You heard Rhett's voice call out your name in panic.
You yelped as you crashed against a tree. "I’m okay" you offered weakly as he ran over to you.
He quickly slid his arm around you, helping you back to your feet. "You should watch where you're going," he said, but you could see the fear in his eyes.
"Will try when I'm stranded in the woods with angry cowboy hat again," you spat back, but didn't move away as he helped you walk.
There was a beat of silence before he spoke again, "Why do we do this?" he asked, there was an unfamiliar hit of seriousness in his tone.
"Do what?" you looked up at him.
"Bickerin' all the time," he muttered.
You sighed looking down at your feet, "I don't know...I guess it's always been easier this way" you slowly lifted a shoulder.
"to make snide remarks instead of actually saying what we think of each other".
Rhett's expression softened, "And what do you think of me?" .
You met his gaze, "That...you're not bad to be around." you admitted quietly.
A smile tugged at the corners of Rhett's mouth.
"And that your car isn't so bad" you added.
He beamed as soon as those words left your lips.
"Told ya" he chuckled.
“I like it, you know?” he said quietly.
“Like what?” you looked up at him.
“I like being around you,” he admitted.
You smiled, “I like being around you too, Rhett”.
“I never would’ve thought you’d confess your undyin’ love for me in the woods,” Rhett grinned.
“Shut up, angry cowboy hat,” you rolled your eyes before lightly smacking his arm.

Living in the Barrel wasn't for the weak.
It wasn't merely a page taken out of fiction that involved criminals, dramatic shootouts among two rivaling gangs.
It wasn't even living
It was survival
And you knew that if you needed to survive, you'd have to learn to keep your head up as you walked through the streets, among the people who could kill you at an instant.
Even if on the inside, your heart was threatening to leap out of your chest.
If you were to survive in the Barrel, you needed to start with the assumption that everyone around you was only waiting for you to let your guard down, so they could kill you, or worse.
That's why you'd been wary of Wylan Henricks.
When he'd first joined the dregs, you’d wondered why Kaz had hired a boy that looked like he belonged anywhere but where he was.
But you knew that whatever Kaz Brekker did, he did for a reason.
So you had bit your tongue.
But that hadn't meant you trusted the boy.
So, when you'd been told to accompany Wylan for a job by Kaz, you'd protested.
"You're seriously sending him for this?" You scoffed.
"Are we even sure he won't faint when he sees a gun?”.
"I can hear you, you know?" Wylan hesitantly peeked from the corner of your vision.
You rolled your eyes.
"We need his skills," Kaz stated. "And that's why I'm sending you," he leaned forward on his desk, "to make sure he doesn't faint when he sees a gun."
You huffed in annoyance, but you had no choice but to comply.
"Babysitting, my favorite job of course," you grumbled under your breath as you walked out.
"I can still hear you, you know?" Wylan said from beside you as he jogged to match your pace.
The job had taken far longer than you'd anticipated, much to your dismay. And it was already dark by the time the two of you started on your way back.
“Well this is just wonderful" you groaned.
Wylan turned to you, brows furrowed in question.
"We're much far behind schedule, schoolboy" You rolled your eyes as you began to walk.
"Um I don't think there ever really was a specified schedule...?" he said, as he followed you. “And stop calling me that" he scowled.
You raised an eyebrow, "What? ‘Schoolboy’? that's exactly what you are".
"Or who you're supposed to be, atleast" you shrugged.
"I'm not" he said, his voice barely loud enough for you to hear.
"You know I don't really understand what it is that you have against me," he crossed his hands in front of him, as he halted.
You stopped walking, "What?".
“I do the work I'm supposed to,” he continued. “far better than a lot of people in the dregs anyway".
You huffed in amusement.
“What have I done to you?” he asked. “why do you hate me so much?”.
“Because you don't belong here” You retorted.
Wylan rolled his eyes.
“Tell me,” you stepped closer to him. "Why are you in the dregs anyway?".
"Why are you in the dregs?" He snapped back.
You took a step back, you paused.
"You say I don't belong here, but do you?" He stepped closer to you.
"Why are you here?" he asked again.
You frowned as you cast your gaze sideways.
"Because I have nowhere else to go," you admitted silently.
You met his gaze then, face stern once again, "Why are you here?" you asked.
Wylan quietly dipped his chain and said, "Same reason as you," .
For a moment, neither of you said anything as you walked ahead.
Almost all the time, you didn't care what you said to people, or what they thought of you. But right now, you couldn't help but feel an unprecedented form of guilt gnawing at the edges of your mind.
It was then you when you finally registered how cold it'd gotten. The chill of the late October air made you shiver, no matter how hard you tried to brush it off.
You silently wrapped your arms yourself in a feeble attempt to try and stay warm.
"You can have my jacket," a quiet murmur rose from your side.
When you heard it, you thought you'd imagined it.
But he said it again, louder this time, “You can have my jacket,".
When you stopped in your tracks and turned to Wylan, he'd already taken off his jacket and was holding it out in the space between the two of you.
A peace offering
And for the first time in forever, you didn't protest, didn't make a sharp retort, didn't lie through your teeth and tell him you were fine.
Instead, you quietly took it from his hands, 'Thanks," you said quietly.
And you couldn't help but feel grateful for the warmth that enveloped you like a strange, yet welcoming feeling as you put it on.
When the two of you began walking again, you said, "You did good today, Wylan".
You didn't have to look at him to know just how shocked he was to hear you call him by his name.
"You used my name," he said.
"Well it's not such a bad name" You shrugged
This time, you didn't try to hide the smile that tugged at the corners of your mouth.

"Fall is the best time of the day" Bob had heard you say one too many times.
"It's just the perfect amount of cold, not too cold like winter, or too hot like summer" you would explain with great enthusiasm.
"Plus the leaves look so beautiful and the countless dishes you can make from pumpkins, pumpkin spice lattes, halloween" you'd list out.
"It's the best time of the year!" you'd explain with great zeal.
And even though your schedules didn't leave much room for travelling and fun hangouts, surprisingly, you both had this weekend off.
So, Bob had decided on planning a little surprise for you.
The day before, he'd told you he'd need to help out Bradley with a wardrobe emergency, so you wouldn't suspect anything and he'd be able to plan your surprise.
The next morning, he'd gotten up earlier than usual, and had made your favourite breakfast.
"Good morning sweetheart" He planted a kiss on your forehead as you woke up.
"Morning," you smiled. "You're up early" you pointed out.
"Yeah" he smiled.
"Come on, get ready, you're gonna love breakfast today" he hurried you.
You pouted, "Why?"
Bob just smiled in response and lifted a shoulder, "You'll see".
So you freshened up as fast as you possibly could, excited about what your boyfriend had said and ventured out.
You sat down on your chair and happily awaited Bob’s surprise.
"Here you go," Bob padded out of the kitchen, wearing an apron entirely covered in flour.
Your mouth hung open at the sight of the food in front of you.
You looked back up at him, "You made blueberry pancakes for me!?" you asked.
He smiled, "Well I tried my best," he shrugged. "really hope it tastes edible after five failed attempts," he winced.
You laughed, "five!?".
"The instructions were very confusing" he whined.
"It's okay, love. I'm just happy you made pancakes!" you grinned excitedly.
"Try em" he sat down in front of you as you ate.
You took the first bite, then slowly widened your eyes as you looked back up at him.
"How- how are they?" He asked nervously. "Are they bad? Ugh I knew I should've added less sugar" he started to spiral.
"Bob bob bob!" You cut him off. "They're perfect!" you exclaimed.
He blinked in surprise, "really?"
"Yeah" you nodded. "Here, try some" You picked up the fork and fed him some of it.
A smile slowly crept onto his features as he tasted it, "it is pretty good" he realised.
“It's very good!” you amended.
You finished up the rest of your pancakes and wrapped your arms around Bob as you got up from your seat,
“I love you so much," you planted your cheek on his.
He looked up at you, as he smiled shyly, "I love you too, sweetheart" he planted a kiss on your cheek.
"Now come on get your shoes please, we're going out" he said.
You raised your eyebrows, "Go where?".
In response, Bob smiled excitedly, "You'll see".
***
"Keep them closed" Bob instructed you as he led you out of the car.
He had one hand holding yours and the other over your eyes.
He'd insisted on you closing your eyes because he wanted it to be a surprise.
"Where are we going?" You asked as you tried to peek from beneath his hand.
"Hey don't peek! we're almost there," he said.
"Okayyyy" you took slow, careful steps.
"Almost there..."
He finally stopped, and so did you.
"Okay you can open your eyes now,"
He slowly moved his hand away.
You flung your eyes open.
You hadn't known what exactly you were expecting, but it was clearly not this.
It was a secluded spot beside the lake, with trees that had beautiful orange leaves hanging on them.
Beneath the trees, there was a neatly laid out picnic setup.
Your mouth hung open, "A picnic!?" you whipped your head towards Bob, surprise clearly visible on your features.
"Better" he pointed a finger. "it's a fall picnic" he smiled.
"Woah," you looked around in awe.
The entire setup was perfect.
You'd always wanted to have a picnic by the lake, but you'd never gotten a chance to do something like it.
And especially during your favourite time of the year.
"D'you like it?" Bob asked.
"I love it!" You threw our arms around your boyfriend as you engulfed him into a hug.
"How long have you been planning this?" you asked, as you moved your head away from his chest to look up at him.
"couple weeks," he nodded.
"Couple weeks!?" you exclaimed. "That's woah-” you looked around once again.
“I love this so much Bob!" you smiled. brightly.
"Well the surprise isn't over yet" Bob shrugged.
You looked at him with a puzzled look on your face.
"Come on" he took your hand in his and led you to the sot.
He reached for the basket he'd brought along, as soon as he sat down.
"So this may not be really good." He began as he searched inside the box.
"but I tried my best".
You eagerly waited to see what he was taking out.
Your mouth hung open, for the third time in the air.
"Pumpkin pie" he placed the neatly covered Tupperware infront of you.
"Oh my god!" you squealed. "You made this!?" You turned to him.
"Yeah" he smiled. "But that's not all" he pointed a finger.
He then took out a sealed cup from inside the box.
"You once said you've always wanted to try one of these, so I thought why not make it?" he opened the cup.
You beamed at the sight of the very drink you'd been wanting to try for so long.
Bob nodded enthusiastically.
"You did all this by yourself?" you asked, completely in awe.
"Yeah," Bob nodded. "That's actually what I was doing yesterday," he admitted.
"Wait," You blinked. "So Bradley didn't have a wardrobe emergency?" you raised an eyebrow.
"No" he winced. "He still might but that's not where I was."
“It does make sense cuz all he owns are those wierd beach shirts,” you pointed out.
"I'm sorry I lied to you sweetheart, I just really wanted this to be a surprise," he held your hands in his.
"Awh no don't apologise," you pouted. "I love all of this so much" you looked around.
“I'm glad you do,” his face lit up upon seeing how happy you were.
You looked back at Bob, who was setting up the plates, and felt a sudden of warmth spread in your chest.
You loved him more than anything in the world.
A smile crept on to your features as you realised how he was the one person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with.
"What's wrong sweetheart?" Bob asked when he saw you looking at him.
Your smile deepened. "I love you so much, you're my dream boy" you felt tears forming in your eyes.
The blush that crept on Bob's cheeks was unmissable.
"I love you too sweetheart" he smiled shyly before holding your face in his hands and kissing you.

You took in a deep breath as you got out of the car. "Finally!" you exclaimed. "Air that doesn't smell like city smoke"
"And a surrounding without the never ending traffic noise" Bob added as he closed your car door behind you.
It had been an excruciating couple weeks back at the watchtower, with the whole new avengerZ thing, the anxieties of public facing, Valentina's constantly complaining about everything you guys did, and just dealing with her in general.
So, you'd suggested to Bob that the two of you go to a cozy little cabin for the weekend that your friend had let you borrow.
"Woah this place is way more maintained than I expected," Bob stared ahead in awe, as he gently wrapped an arm around your shoulder.
“ Yeah my friend’s really passionate about this place," You explained. "Says coming here helps her decompress when work gets too much,"
"Oh wow," Bob smiled. "Well I am very excited to spend the weekend here, you know, just the two of us," he placed a kiss on your forehead.
"So am I," You smiled as you looked up at him.
***
You'd spent the better part of an hour settling into the place and cleaning up.
Afterwards, Bob insisted on making your favourite dinner.
Well at least that's what he tried to do for the first ten minutes, until he almost burnt a pan and you had to take over.
Then he was more than happy to do the dishes, of course. When you were done with dinner, the two of you settled by the fireplace.
"So what do you think of this place?" You ask excitedly.
"It's actually really nice," Bob said as he settled beside yon on the floor.
"It's crazy not having to hear Ava and John arguing during dinner about her taking his favourite plate and him saying-"
"It's just a plate, there's nothing to be liked about it." the two of you said at the same time.
"Yeah," you laughed. "That's true,”
"So yeah it's really nice," Bob lifted a shoulder.
"You know, we could do something like this from time to time," he suggested. "If-only if you want of course," he hurriedly added.
You beamed at his suggestion, "Really!? I would love that!".
"Just you and me, away from all the chaos, singing off-key to Matt Maltese," you said.
Bob pouted, "I don't sing off- key,".
"Oh that reminds me," You quickly got up and rushed toward the other side of the room where your bag was.
You pulled out your phone and went back to Bob.
"So I know we're not using any internet here, but-" You quickly tapped on your phone. "I downloaded some stuff before we left,"
"Oh put it on!" Bob said excitedly.
You started playing "Everyone adores you (at least I do)" on your phone.
"Oh I love this one! " Bob rushed hurriedly.
“You can act all shy,” You began singing along, terribly off-key. “But you know that I want you,”.
“In the dead of night, I waaaant to live with you,” Bob joined in.
You quickly reached out for his hands and pulled him up, intertwining your fingers with his.
“Soooo terrrif-i-ed of the road that takes you,” he sang as he spun you around.
“Me too”.
“Doo-on’t modify-a-yy,” You sang.
“Everyone adores you, at least I do,” The two of you sang together.
"I love you," You said and placed a quick kiss to Bob’s mouth.
He smiled before wrapping his arms around your waist, pulling you close. “I love you too darling,” he murmured as he pulled you in for another kiss.
