I'm so sick of cheating byler man 🫩 genuinely when did we decide that cheating is a cool thing to do we've lost the plot

Okay disclaimer that I haven't read all of Tim's Red Robin run, but hopefully I know enough for this to be an okay take. Please genuinely lemme know if I'm off!!

Okay so fans will beg for Tim to move on from being Robin, fair I suppose, and then.... The solution they want for him is to be Red Robin? I find that strange. I thought that RR was a time in Tim's life. A very specific time. A punishment. An ache. A destruction.

I don't think 'moving on' would be RR, that seems like moving backwards to me. I'm not sure what he needs but it doesn't seem like RR. That was an era of grief, of immeasurable pain, an escape maybe? I think Tim needs to sit with Red Robin for a bit, just sit, process. And let it go.

Also that's not even Tim's unique name so uh... Not saying he can't take up a mantle but I just think he needs something new.

Again, have not finished the run but what I've seen so far, this is my take.

And a disclaimer I'm purely talking bad about her portrayal in the animated series.

So I thought hating her was a general consensus, but according to tiktok and the damn writers, M'gann redeemed herself after S2. I disagree.

She had always been predatory towards Conner. It could be argued that she was just as naive as him and maybe I'd accept that for everything in S1. But S2 onwards? No. She knew better and Conner deserves better.

For the sake of this, show will be Conner and comics be Kon. Kon spent his childhood getting groomed but it was presented as love stories. I would've hoped a show however many years later would handle the issue with more grace, but no. It's arguably worse because Conner straight up marries his abuser.

"Abuser? Fly, isn't that a bit dramatic-" NO!! It is not! When he showed concern that her methods of being a hero were turning dark and violent, she simply tried to erase the damn memory from his head.

Conner says it himself. "After all we've been through, how could you think I wouldn't recognise your touch inside my mind? Didn't you know what that touch meant to me? And to have you pervert it like that..."

This, like Kon's story, could have been a heartbreaking but genuine story on abuse and assault, especially within a relationship and towards male victims.

But instead they got back together. Engaged. Married. They had Conner marry the woman who named him, who assaulted him. What a terrible message and ending.

In I think season 4 he says "I can't imagine my life without you"..... Baby, you didn't have one. You met her like a week after you hatched.

That's all for now. Long story short, this could have been a well written story on domestic abuse but instead it was a minor conflict in a love story. Gross.

Also I'm just gonna say it. Tales from 85 fundamentally cannot work because the characters can't have learnt those lessons before season 3. Because they learn them IN season 3.

I love Will with all my heart but it makes no sense for him to learn this amount of self acceptance when he starts s3 on such a low. I could go on. It's just stupid. Just watch season 3, it's the same thing but better.

I'm not trying to be rude but. Why are we tagging cleradin when you clearly made Will a wizard? Like god they look beautiful but why does Will have a spellbook? Just talking about random specific examples.

I sincerely don't care if you prefer sorcerer Will or wizard Will or cleric Will. Just like... Do a small amount of research first please?

Or is there some unspoken rule where cleradin just means DnD byler?

Not my usual content, but I want to remind everyone to have that medical appointment they've been putting off. Start the gym membership they didn't care about. Drink the water by your bed.

Obviously health isn't straightforward and these are just examples, but do the thing. If it's accessible to you PLEASE do the thing you've procrastinated.

Anything can happen to anyone at any time. If you have the means, please please please give yourself the best chance.
