FLYING LEMURS!THATS RIGHT THEY FLY!
There's a Japanese saying that says there's 3 things a person needs to be truly happy:
1. Someone to love
2. something to do
3. something to hope for

Another Gliding Colugo. In this clip the colugo glides from the tall palm on the right down to the trunk of another tree which it starts climbing after landing. Once again I ran the clip through a slow motion app and edited the regular speed clip and the slow motion clip together. This is a repost of my own post. The Gliding “Flight” Of The #Colugo Also Called A “Flying Lemur” (even though they have no relation to the lemurs of Madagascar). These amazing gliders are native to Southeast Asia, Including Borneo. This Colugo flys from the palm tree across the road to the base of another tree. Another Colugo Mom And Child. The “wings” which are a large flap of skin also make a great nursery. This particular colugo is on the Island City/Nation of Singapore. The amazing Colugo, a native of Southeast Asia, seen here at a reserve in Singapore, along with an infant hiding amidst her skin flaps used for gliding from tree to tree. • This is a #repost from @happytravelswithlin via @PhotoAroundApp Colugo/flying lemur taken in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve in Singapore 🇸🇬 If you like this, you may subscribe to catch more of our videos in our YouTube channel called Nature Is Beautiful 😊 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dasn5o16Gh8&feature=youtu.be #colugo #flyinglemur #nature #creature #mammal #naturereserve https://www.instagram.com/p/B9W2VY6gdXU/?igshid=ysn30fedke2y
SUNDA FLYING LEMUR Malayan flying lemur, Sunda colugo, Malayan colugo Do you know? The flying lemur’s name is misleading, because it is not a lemur and it cannot truly fly. These animals need a certain distance for gliding and landing without injury. The strongest landing forces occur after short glides, with longer glides leading to softer landings, as they can brake their glide aerodynamically. ° ° ° #colugo #sundaflyinglemur #flyinglemur #hindhedenaturepark #bukittimah #Singapore #sgnature #sgparks #nparks #nparkbuzz #sgwildlife #sgbiodiversity #singaporewildlife #SabahanWildlifePhotographer #sabahanphotographer #olympusphotography #olympusforwildlife #olympusomdem5 #omdem5 #olympus_animals #olympuswildlife #olympussg #microfourthirds #microfourthirdsgallery #mzuiko75300mm (at Hindhede Nature Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7YLotKANOS/?igshid=idfw99dm6p2v
The amazing Colugos glide from trees to using their skills as gliders thanks to their extra skin which can be spread out enabling them to glide from tree to tree. . . . This is a #Repost @animal.radical ・・・ Flying lemurs, or colugos, found in the rainforests of South East Asia are not related to the true lemurs of Madagascar nor do they fly. These little guys are so unique that they have been given their own order, Dermoptera, meaning 'skin-wings'. Extending from their neck along the sides of their bodies to their fingers, toes, and tail is a highly developed membrane they use for gliding or 'flying' up to 100 meters (328 feet). _ Colugos are slow moving and nocturnal, spending days clinging to trunks or branches. There they are perfectly camouflaged blending into the tree bark that keeps them safe from predators. Right now their conservation status is Least Concern, but as all forest dwelling animals today, they are threatened by rapid loss of habitat _ Video courtesy of Cede Prudente #dermoptera #colugo #flyinglemur #glidingmammals #lovewildife #naturerocks https://www.instagram.com/p/B1Nswc8AxJ8/?igshid=ru9xef0ebobg
