you sat on the roof of pinako's house watching the sunset, and you thought back on the times you spent with ed and al. they weren't the fluffiest of memories, but they will be something you will always cherish.
"what's going on in that head of yours?" ed teases you as walks onto the roof to sit next to you he gently nudges his shoulder into yours.
"just thinkin about everything we've all been through, it's crazy to think that it's all over. I'm finally going home" you smile to yourself but ed, on the other hand, can't help but feel sad at the thought of you not being around anymore. despite all the teasing, he endured from winry and al they were right he's fallen for you.
"so what are you gonna do when you get home?" he smiles down at you concealing the fact that he doesn't want you to go.
you lean your head on his shoulder "after all this traveling I'm just going to go home and take the longest nap of my life. not being on the run from people trying to kill you is refreshing." you lift your head off his shoulder to look at him "what about you what are you gonna do?"
he frowns slightly at the absence of your touch but quickly carries on hoping you didn't catch it "I don't think I can stay down for long I'm probably going to travel a little and maybe I'll start relaxing after that."
you raise a brow "'maybe'?" you tease him "ed you've almost died on over twenty different occasions I think you're the first person who needs to relax."
"i guess you're right, i'll take it easy for about a week then I'm off."
you stare at him with an unimpressed blank stare "ed. take a break. please."
he laughed then put his hands up in mock surrender "alright alright, you know i could never say no to you. i'm going to miss you when you leave you, know that?"
you rest your head on his shoulder "i'm gonna miss you too, I don't wanna leave and go home but at the same time..." you sigh "i don't know."
he leans his head on yours and the two of you sit in comfortable silence. your train was stopping in town tomorrow and he didn't want to say goodbye, he stared at you watching the sunset and his eyes softened at the sight of you. it was either now or never.
"hey y/n..." you hummed a response
“i want to thank you for sticking by my side this whole time…you gave your time and i’ll give mine, equivalent exchange right?”
he lifted his head off yours which caused you to lift your head off his shoulder to look at him, he looked you in the eyes with a deep blush coating his cheeks.
“so let me give you my heart in return does that sound fair?”
your eyes grew wide at his confession, you’re speechless you were unable to utter a single word besides his name “edward…” you then composed yourself and smiled at him “you big dummy you know i have to get on my train tomorrow what are we going to do about that-”
“i don’t care!” he shouts his face becoming redder and redder by the minute “i just needed to tell you before you left okay, along the way i’ve fallen for you and i’d rather tell you now instead of watching you go without saying anything.”
you wrap your arms around him squeezing him tightly “we’ll work something out ed i promise…but i still believe in equivalent exchange…so…your heart is in my hands while my heart is in your hands. deal?”
he pulls back to cup your face in his hands “deal.” he seals the deal with a kiss a small moment of bliss that lasted a lifetime.
Hi. Can I request some headcanons of Edward Elric with a hypermobile s/o? I’m hypermobile and I have a track record of kneecap problems.
When you kneed him
Edward is always concerned about YN's knees and often reminds them to be careful when doing physical activities. He'll even help YN with stretching exercises to strengthen their knees and prevent future injuries.
YN often has to wear knee braces or supports, and Edward is always there to help them put them on or take them off. He also doesn't mind carrying YN when their knees are bothering them.
Despite YN's knee problems, they still love to dance, and Edward is always happy to oblige. He'll spin YN around the room and even dips them carefully to avoid any unnecessary strain on their knees.
YN's hypermobility can sometimes cause them to dislocate their joints, including their kneecaps. Edward is always quick to pop them back into place and make sure YN is comfortable.
When YN is having a bad knee day, Edward will often take them out for a relaxing day at home. They'll watch movies, play board games, and just enjoy each other's company without any physical strain.
Edward is always researching new techniques and remedies for YN's knee problems. He'll try out different stretches, exercises, and even home remedies to see what works best for them.
YN's knee problems can be a source of frustration and pain, but Edward is always there to comfort them. He'll give YN massages or even draw them a hot bath to help ease their discomfort.
When YN has to attend events or go out in public, Edward is always mindful of their knee problems. He'll scout out the venue ahead of time to make sure there are no stairs or other obstacles that might cause YN pain.
YN's knee problems can be a challenge, but Edward never lets it get in the way of their relationship. He loves YN for who they are, and their knee problems are just a small part of what makes them unique and special to him.
Despite YN's knee problems, they're always up for adventure, and Edward is right there beside them. They'll go hiking, exploring, and even rock climbing (with proper safety precautions, of course). Edward is always ready to support YN and help them overcome any obstacles that come their way.

I got COVID and while in quarantine, I watched way too much FMA. In the good old tradition of hopeless fangirling, I laser focused on the worst character in the entire series, I mean duh.
Initially I planned for the background to be full of unnecesary details and easter eggs, but later I realized that 1. life is short, 2. I lack the skill and 3. it looked kinda bad. So I reduced it to those dark shadows in the back.
If you are reading this and begin to feel that you are gazing upon the work of a first class hack, then yes, you are correct. P.S. to all the Zolf J. Kimblee stans out there: you're welcome guys P.S. 2: to the same: my headcanon is that Kimblee writes music, if you think otherwise, fight me.
P.S. 3: to self: WHY do I always try to draw things I obviously can't draw well (HANDS, argh) and that semi-realistic style of mine is not helping at all P.S. 4: I rewatched / re-read all of FMA a few times over with little break, now I have a nervous reaction of clapping my hands at everything please send help P.S. 5: I rewatched the old FMA 2003 and it was a surprisingly enjoyable experience, although I didn't remember all that filler. It's cute

-I think Al would be so understanding
-I think that after the ending of Brotherhood, he had a lot of recovery to do
-So he definitely understands how you feel
-Not exactly, but, you know
-I think he’s kind of a mother hen, naturally
-He just wants his beloved s/o to be happy and healthy
-On a less positive note, he can be kind of overbearing at times
-But if you tell him how you feel, he does his best to fix it
-I definitely think part of his concern comes from his trauma with his mother
-So he tends to panic
-He worries that you’ll end up just like his mom
-But he’s doing his best

-All in all, he just wants you to be happy and does his best to listen to whatever you need
