it was funny, kami knew her face could scared a few people off. she wore her dark markup and her face settled into what was known as resting bitch face. she knew a few people were weary around her because of it. including, the person she was about to flag down with her arms. but she wanted someone to join her. there was already a lot of food given to them. still, kami wanted to taste it and thought it would be the perfect time for a vlog. only, she ordered a tad too much for one person to enjoy alone.

so that’s what caused her rise her arms as she saw a the idol walking alone. it wasn’t until he came a little closer that she started to speak. “would you like to join me?” she waved a hand over the table, pointing out the spread. “but it does come with a price, i wanted to a vlog, almost like a mukbang, would you care to join me?”

In the idol world, being friends with the opposite sex is always an issue. Candy has a lot of male friends despite the rumors about he dating many of them if not all. But truthfully, there are people she cares about and she'd rather keep them hidden than to have them deal with the mess that comes along with her being a member of a popular girl group. And by having to be hidden, Candy had to invite her friend over for a meal instead of treating him outside. 

“Ah, I didn't expect that the world would know about our friendship through a public phone call on a variety show.” Candy chuckles as she glances at the male. Styx has been a good friend of hers for years in the industry. Charoen is a good guy and Candy appreciates their friendship as there aren’t a lot of genuine people in this world enough to make it better. 

“Also, I want to apologize.” She then hands him her signed album with a personal message for him inside. It’s not that she wanted to be sentimental but she wanted the people she cared for the most to see that through thick and thin, she remembers them and will continue to show her appreciation for them. “I should’ve given you one right away but I didn’t want to just give you a signed album. I wrote something inside. Don’t read it yet! You know I get shy too!”

Guanting adored his group members and the friends he had made over the past decade he had been in South Korea. There were so many people he had to thank for making the transition from one culture to another just a little bit easier, and he was forever grateful towards them and their efforts to make him feel accepted and equal. But there were still a lot of things that his group members didn’t understand, that they couldn’t understand, about him and his experiences being in Korea. As someone who was a foreigner, a biracial foreigner at that, he was faced with challenges that his hyungs in Unity couldn’t really help him get through. They were all Korean, even if some of them weren’t born there, and they would never understand what it was like to be an outsider there. 

Someone who did understand his struggles was Charoen. He was another biracial idol, and he was half Thai, just like Ting. That was something that drew the younger male to him, and he was eager to form a friendship with him, hoping that he could help him deal with the issues he faced just because of who he was and what he was born as. Despite the few years age difference, Ting saw the older male as a close friend that he could talk to whenever he needed someone who was a little bit more understanding to his feelings. And whenever he just wanted to get away from the dorm. “I hope I didn’t pull you away from anything important,” he spoke in Thai, the language feeling more natural on his tongue. The two of them had stopped for ice cream at one of Ting’s favorite ice cream parlors before heading towards the river. “I just needed to get out of the dorm.” He smiled brightly at him, before popping another scoop of ice cream into his mouth.

Setting: Outside the WooBar in Seoul  Date: May 7th, 2019 Time: 2:12am Characters Involved: Eunhee + @fmdcharoen

Eunhee didn’t drink often, if at all. She had a difficult time holding her liquor, which was why she avoided alcohol ninety nine percent of the time. Although that night, it was one of her closest friends’ birthdays and she wanted to celebrate with them. They’d rented out the entirety of the club and invited over a hundred people, which was one of the main reasons why she decided that she wanted to get a few drinks in her. To ease the anxiety of being crowded around, to ease the feeling of walls closing in on her. With a few drinks coursing through her system, she began to feel more and more at ease and loose, which was why she didn’t hesitate to accept more drinks whenever her friend coaxed her into taking more. And that was how she found herself stumbling down the sidewalk with her hand pressed up against the wall of the bar.

She was glad that it was late enough that there weren’t people out on the street. It would have been messy and a pain in the ass if any pictures of her in that state were snapped. The media would have a field day, and she didn’t want to think about what her fans would say. Disappointing them was one of her biggest fears, second after being abandoned. She steadied herself for a moment, shifting on her feet - a difficult feat in the shoes she was wearing, before she started walking again. Almost immediately she ran into a firm chest, making her stumble and grapple against the wall again. “M’sorry,” she slurred, blinking up at the other person. It took several seconds before his face lost its hazy blur and she processed who it was. “Charoen?” One of her label mates and hoobaenims. “Are you here for the party too?” She asked, although there was a high probability that it just came out as mush mouth to the younger idol.

“thank you,” joosung spoke politely to the waitress as she laid out several different plates in front of him and charoen. coming with friends to his family’s restaurant was a usual occurrence after so much time being away and meeting new people. most of the other trainees he’d met didn’t have enough money to eat well and take care of themselves because they relied only on the company’s allowance. sung was lucky, in that way, that even though his family didn’t fully support being a trainee, they supported him with love and stability. in God’s eyes, and therefore his own, keeping that gift to himself would be selfish.

but, more than the promise of food, this was a place the two of them could get to be alone. he knew that charoen was feeling troubled by the survival show, and as his mother always said, the best way to deal with problems was to talk them over a bowl of warm food. joosung tapped his chopsticks onto the table to level them out in his hand, then said, “let’s eat well,” and began to fill his bowl. “how are things? with the show and all.”

TK found himself standing in front of the mirror in the practice room with the other members of Team B. Everyone was working hard to try and improve their skills after the intense last round against Team A. The weight of the microphone felt unnaturally heavy in his hand as the weight of the judges’ criticisms crushed down on Taekyeong’s mind. His accent was still too thick, his flow wasn’t good enough. Not even the praise for his dancing was enough to lift the optimists’ spirits. He longed for perfection. With the promise of his rapping potential, TK found himself at a loss as to where to start. It wasn’t like dancing where he could start with the basic steps and then build off of that. This was an entirely different function and method of thinking and working.

His free hand roughly mussed his curly silver hair and as he thought about calling it a night, he caught a taller limber figure in his peripherals trying to work on his choreography. The dancer couldn’t help but wince a little at the sloppy gestures of his arms and the lack of refinement in his turns. He carefully walked to his teammate’s side and cleared his throat.

“Hey Charoen, can I ask you something?” He had hardly given his teammate a chance to answer before his nerves had him spilling his question. “Can you give me some advice with my rap? I don’t know if it’s my accent, my flow—I just…” he nearly dropped the microphone in his hand as he gestured while he spoke. “I don’t know where to start.”

Now there was a lot of things about being an idol that Kira didn’t enjoy, but there were also a few things that he enjoyed, make-up for example, something he would’ve never guessed would’ve landed on his face. In the beginning he didn’t like make-up, he didn’t want his reputation to be destroyed or for people to figure out he was gay, soon enough he figured out that make-up was a lot more harmless than expected, and soon enough he tried experimenting it on himself. As time went by he actually got pretty good at make-up, and he started to enjoy putting make-up on his own face or others, if he said it himself then he was very decent at make-up, if you asked others then they would probably say that he was very good at make-up.

However, not everyone has a talent when it comes to make-up, this guy for example, he didn’t, and Kira knew that for a fact, the guy however wanted to try, he wanted to get good at make-up, and Kira thought that was a good idea, then he could finally share his love for make-up with someone else. He wasn’t sure who had got the idea, but one or another had got the idea that Charoen could practice on Kira’s face. He had come with some of his make-up tools, not all of them, there was too many and some of them he found too dear to let a complete noob use “uh, so you want me to guide you through it or do you just want to go for it?”.
