there’s zero question that aidynn is solely apart of charm’s hip-hop unit and he doesn’t show any strong ability to expand beyond that unit, not that he wants to anyway. his rapping abilities are clearly his strongest and he’s happy where he’s at in the group dynamics.
on the other hand, the ability that is arguably his weakest out of rapping, singing, and dancing is his singing. it’s not unpleasant, necessarily, but it’s nothing that someone would really want on a song when they have many other talented vocalists to choose from. like his speaking voice and rapping style, his singing voice is low and doesn’t stray too far from his regular speaking tones when he’s just casually singing, mostly all chest voice with a bit of variation in pitch. a typical rapper singing style.
but, he also has an entirely unnecessary ability to sing in a fairly soprano sounding head voice/falsetto situation compared to his usual baritone abilities. the only time he uses it is as a joke on variety shows to get a laugh out of everyone, which also get frequently accompanied by his capability to just scream in a high register as well. it’s a weird ability, completely untrained, and who knowns why he has it or how he figured it out but, it’s a thing.
(i provide you with some lovely references of what he sounds like: x x )

one thing that duri is known for is the rather wholesome fan experiences. simply, duri just really loves his fans and he’s so thankful for them, he really enjoys getting to meet them, take photos with them, and things of the likes. if he can meet them, he’ll stop and meet them. he always sure to listen to them when they’re speaking and takes fan letters from them if he’s able to do so. it really does make him feel pretty warm inside and something that brings and even bigger smile to his face.
his best fan experience was probably at a knight fan sign. a little girl had come through and she was seemingly nervous when she had gone through, a little bit nervous when she had come upon duri. it had turned out he’s her favorite member of knight and she wasn’t entirely sure how to communicate with him, since she’s hard of hearing. however, duri had done his best to sign to her from what he knows, and it seemed to really help her out. during this exchange, she would tell him about how seeing knight on television means a lot to her and being a fan of duri’s had helped her get through a lot of things, such as being picked on at school because of the fact that’s hard of hearing. duri really comforted her and would even cry later on from the exchange. but, it still remained one of the best fan experiences.
suwei wants to say lucid will have a long career ahead of them. ten or more years later they’ll disband after a successful career.
she also wants to say even after lucid disbands she’ll have a career after. but that isn’t likely. as a foreigner it’ll be hard for her to have a solo career in south korea. maybe she’ll find a solo career in china.
but no matter what happens suwei will return home. she missed her family and can’t see herself staying in south korea without a career holding her in place. nothing will hold her there once lucid disbands.
once back home she’ll spend as much time with her aging parents. she’ll want to pack in as much missed time as possible. they won’t be around forever.
she’ll get a job. maybe go back to school. she wants a career that she loves as much as being an idol.
she hopes to adopt an animal. something her idol life has prevented her from doing.
she wants to travel on her own time. let the wind take her wherever it goes. get lost in the world she calls home.
she hopes to fall in love. meet the right man or woman. she wants to fall in love like her parents fell in love. she sees the light in their eyes when they look at each other. she wants that. a soulmate.
and when she’s ready she wants kids. she’s always wanted kids. a little person she’d do anything for.
but more than anything she wants to be happy and grow old. she hopes to die surrounded by love and a life well lived.
lucid’s known for their tough and difficult choreography, and as much as jaein hates to admit it, she takes a little pride in that. they’ve been praised for their performances ever since their debut, and she hopes that they continue to go down that path until their joints start giving up on them. it’s nice being known as a group with rich choreography.
she’s also not too shabby when it comes to stage presence. or at least that’s what she’s told. perhaps her fans are just being nice when they say the typical “unnie, i could only see you on stage!” but she also hears it from staff members, and she also gets placed at the center of things so that must mean something. maybe that’s what people mean when they say that some people were just born to stand on stage—though she hopes that’s not what people say about her.
she is more confident in her dancing than she is in her singing, however, and she thinks that plays a part in her seeming more natural on stage than during schedules such as radio shows where she has to sing standing still. her stage presence is almost like an on and off switch where she needs to be dancing or underneath a bunch of flashing lights for her to look like she’s doing a good job.
Send ∞ for a future (post-idol life) headcanon. ( 262 words )
for how much jaein talks about how she doesn’t want to continue down this path, she has no concrete plans for what she would do if lucid were to debut, and she were given freedom. all she knows right now is that she doesn’t want to stay in the entertainment industry because despite how busy she is and how much she has going on, she always feels empty. every single day seems unpromising, and she doesn’t think she’ll be able to survive any more years than she absolutely has to.
honestly, a post-idol life doesn’t seem like too far into the future. most idol groups go through a rough road by the time they hit their seventh or eighth year. unless lucid starts gathering a more solid fanbase, she doesn’t see them lasting more than ten years either. unlike boy groups who have very loyal fanbases, lots of girl groups depend on public interest to keep them running and once that runs out, it seems like the end of their career. public interest doesn’t last very long either because people are quick to hop onto the next group that looks promising.
maybe jaein will go back to school. attend college like she wanted to. or maybe a couple of years from now she’ll find herself actually enjoying this celebrity life and want to continue down the path. for now, she has absolutely no clue what she wants to do which is weird for someone like jaein who wants her whole life planned out for her. no wonder she’s constantly struggling with herself.
joohwan doesn’t hate idol life. there are a lot of things he wishes he didn’t have to deal with but it’s not one that he hates all that much. what truly bothers him is the level of fame origin’s reached and how he’s not allowed to exist and do things without everybody paying ten times the usual level of attention. it’s stifling and bothersome – it makes living more complicated than it should be. still, he has to continue being an idol for as long as origin’s contract is running anyway. hwan has one advantage that is he doesn’t have to enlist, so he never has to worry about those two years he’d have to spend in the military.
pretty much all of his plans for after origin disbands involve andy. in the cheesiest way possible, hwan knows the two of them are going to end up getting married at one point and he doesn’t really see himself being with anyone else. they just fit. so whenever his anxiety even remotely allows for him to think about the future without freaking out a little bit, he envisions a future with andy.
as of now, the plans are for the two of them to move somewhere they can get married and live a chill life. canada holds too many bad memories for them to move there and hwan refuses to even consider the possibility of living in the united states. so they will be moving to new zealand, with hwan buying a farm for them because andy loves animals and it’s a good way to keep active. among the animals in their farm they are going to have chickens, cows, horses, pigs, ducks, sheep, goats, snake and the usual cats and dogs.
with the sheer amount of money hwan makes out of origin as well as his solo work, he doesn’t have to worry about his financial life. by the time they moved he’d have finished his chemistry degree and, hopefully, gotten his masters. so at best he’d do some minimal research work in between working at the farm. hwan will definitely miss performing but he’d try to keep up with the dancing and singing but both of those as hobbies rather than his actual work.
joohwan and andy are definitely getting married. hwan would want a proper ceremony but the guest list would be super short and probably only include his and andy’s closest friends as well as the members of origin and charm, whoever andy likes among them, and some of hwan’s family members. they are also adopting two kids eventually, a boy and a girl. joohwan’s always wanted to have kids and whereas andy is more on the neutral side, they both come to the agreement that two kids are good enough.
it’s honestly the perfect picture of a happy ending of sorts. it doesn’t mean they are not going to have issues, that joohwan is not going to get shit from his fans eventually because of it, or that everything bad that’s ever happened to him is going to disappear but after all that he’s been through, it’s fair to project a good and chill life for him with the man he loves, with some animals and kids.
send ♥ for a headcanon about something my muse likes about being an idol.
there was a list of bullshit answers he had conjured up over five years to answer this question when asked in public settings but none of them had ever held a strong amount of truth to them. truthfully aidynn doesn’t truly like anything about being an idol. sure he enjoys performing and being given an opportunity to be somewhat involved in his group’s music creations but a lot of that got cancelled out by what he was performing and what he had to create.
if he got to give an entirely honestly answer and not have to be concerned about any sort of backlash, he’d say something along the lines that he liked that it got his name known on a larger scale compared to what he had going while being involved in the underground scene as a teen. even if he was always going to be labeled as aidynn from charm he was also given a platform to occasionally release his own music that suited his style and music preferences much more than charm’s music and he was slowly creating something for himself seprate from charm as well as just aidynn, which would hopefully allow him to successfully pursue more solo endeavors furhter down the line when charm is no longer.

aidynn has become known as an idol who looks visibly annoyed when spotting problematic fans. it’s something bc has told him to get under control but he gives zero fucks. while he has had plenty of positive fan interactions and there’s some fansites he enjoys seeing around and chatting with, there’s plenty more he doesn’t want to touch with a thirty-nine and a half foot pole. he really doesn’t like the ones who are overly cute, as if it’s gonna get his attention more somehow. well it did, but not in the way they’d hope. another strong thing he hates is when they get too close into his personal bubble and touch or grab at him and his clothes or bags.
by far though his least favorite experience was with a fansite he recognized but didn’t have a strong positive or negative opinion yet. they seemed nice enough, abait a bit weird and socially awkward. she had given him a plushie, which he thought was completely normal and he had planned to give it to his niece because he did that sometimes instead of finding a place to donate it to, until he was in the car ride back to the dorm and found a camera inside.
he literally ripped the head off and broke the camera and would be okay if she went to jail.

the public image aidynn was given by bc upon preparing for debut and since strayed from and edited a bit to fit with the idea of him continuing to grow up was never anything particuarlly special or intriguing. at least in his opinion. he was never particularly cute so he got to avoid that category for the most part, though he was expected to portray himself as the ideal boyfriend for the most part, with kinda a “bad boy who feeds stray cats” vibe going to it. charmings took the trope and ran with it from the start. as the years have passed that vibe still remains, when he’s not matching outfits with twelve other people the stylist are nice enough to put him in darker clothing that kinda went along with that thought. some may attempt to argue that there was a bit of a tsundere touch going on with him, especially as he got older and charm moved away from super concept and soft concepts to more mature things, but he didn’t see it. if anything he was much sweeter when they debuted and he had to be, though he’s had chances here and there to relax and be more genuinely himself, though not too much.
the only thing that has ever really negatively affected his public imagine has been rumors over the years that sometimes fans claim he smells like cigarettes. which is definitely true, he smokes like a chimney and has for years, but local stans defend him admantly and overall, there’s never been photos and it’s only been on occasion.
aidynn has no clue present time what he wants to do after he’s done with idol life or in the future in general. he just knows at some point he’s gonna spend two years doing his mandatory service, and he’ll eventually do his time as an active duty soldier despite his lung health being questionable from years of smoking cigarettes, something he may or may not seriously try to quit.
but after that is done, he’s sure he’d like to leave the country to live somewhere else. where? aidynn hasn’t gotten that far into the planning and nor will he until he spontaenously decides to apply for a visa somewhere, but he knows south korea isn’t really where he wants to stay. without a doubt his sister and any more nieces or nephews he has by then will more than likely follow him wherever he lands.
relationship wise he’s back on his love is bullshit and nonexistent thing so a meaningful long-term relationship in general is up in the air, let alone the idea of marriage or children. he’s meh on the idea of marraige and doesn’t really see it as necessary or something he needs. he’s less meh on the idea of children if he were to somehow end up with one or more of them
the only other thing he’s sure he wants is to keep doing music once he’s not in charm anymore, some combination of lyric writing, composition, and production. he just wants to continue to make music and maybe do something with his art on the side.
