AHN SANGWOOK — SELF-PARA #5 (SECRET SIBLING)

SUMMARY: He's a little shit, we all know that, but he's asked to audition for Secret Sibling just because so he does it because he wants to please his higher-ups. Don't worry though, I won't make your muses go through the agonizing experience of having him as your muses' younger/older secret sibling. This is me gathering points because I want to send him on variety shows. Also, mentions of the best Knight boys @fmdtaeyong, @durifmd and @fmdwoochan because Alex wants to colect Knight members and @fmdsan. WC: 685 (without the questions). TW: food mention.

Alex prepares to start recording just because his bosses and manager asked him to do it. Just for the sake of it, they said, ‘we don’t even know if you’ll appeal to the producers of Secret Sibling’, they convinced him. It’s not even because he thinks it’s a bad show, he just doesn’t believe that this is a show fitting for him but there’s no harm in just auditioning, he guesses, so he’s on his best behavior while filming this one. Very polite and handsome, his hair is nicely tousled and he’s sporting his best smile when he introduces himself and starts reading the questions.

What are your concerns these days?

“Whoa,” he sighs, suddenly contemplative, “what are my concerns these days?” he tilts his head to the side and there’s a barely-there pout on his lips, “I guess I worry I’m not doing enough when it comes to my work like I’m slacking sometimes. I wish I could show myself as someone cool at all times but that’s a little bit difficult and that worries me a little bit,” he scrunches his nose a little but offers a smile to the camera anyways. Looking shy and open usually helped him to sell lies, which is basically what’s going on here anyway.

Which idols do you look up to or want to get to know better?

“Won’t I sound like I’m a little desperate while answering this question?” he covers his mouth to hide a chuckle and looks at the space behind the camera, pretending to be talking to someone who isn’t there anyway, “well, I have to mention Duri hyung and Taeyong hyung from Knight, they are very nice people and I look up to them a lot, both personally and musically. I would like to be closer to Woochan-ssi as well because he’s a very funny senior, I enjoy seeing him on the screen when Knight goes on variety shows. And from my own company, I can’t leave San hyung out of this list. Ever since he released Yanghwa BRDG, I just get stunned by his songs every time a new one comes out, so I would like to get to know him better.”

Do idol schedules make it hard for you to meet up with friends and talk? If yes, do you feel that is hard on you? If no, how do you manage to make time?

“Schedules do make things a little bit difficult, of course. But I think that applies to every profession, right?” he tries to soften his words and not make it sound like the burden it is, “not meeting with friends is a bit difficult because we all need them to just goof around and have a nice time together, being alone is not fun, we all know that,” he runs his hands through his hair for no reason at all and smiles, “but we find ways to meet, especially if there’s food involved, in those cases we’ll always try to make it work out for obvious reasons.”

If you could create your ideal menu for a meal with a friend, what would it include?

“A perfect menu?” a part of Alex wants to be honest and say he can’t cook even if he wanted, but that would just ruin the perfect image some of his fans have of him, “I think that would depend if they are younger or older than me but I think you can’t possibly go wrong with the good and old samgyupsal set, right?” he looks expectantly at the camera, “we could have a nice meal, eat lots of rice and maybe even have some kimchi jiggae by the end of it. I’m just a big fan of meat so I would want to share this experience with a friend.”

When it’s time to record his voice for the greeting, he tries to sound as awkward as he possibly can but still let the smile sound clear in his voice, “Uhm hello, secret sibling, how are you doing today? Are you excited for us to meet? I’m very curious to know who you are,” he chuckles lightly, “I do hope we can have a lot of fun together, I would love to meet more people and get to know you better and I hope you like spending some of your time with me. I’ll see you soon and take care of yourself while we’re apart. Bye-bye, secret sibling!” he finishes trailing off a little bit on the last word before stopping the recording.

secret sibling audition self para.

date: sometime in july 2020. character(s) involved: kangaroo and peanut butter make a guest appearance. finn and angel are mentioned. there’s also a mention of @fmdting & decipher.  about: duri auditions to be on secret siblings. truly, probably one of the perfect shows for him considering how friendly he is. he also is crossing his fingers for someone younger than himself, because he wants to care for them and dote on them, thank you. trigger warnings: n/a. word count: 1,524.

it was yet another thing that bc entertainment management wanted duri to audition for; possibly to milk more good pr out of the male. but, he did actually look forward to possibly being on secret siblings. it’s something that’s very much his thing; as he’s a very friendly person, who really just quite enjoys being surrounded by as many people as he possibly could be. though, he does like his bit of alone time to read and write, but he was still a very big fan of being around friends. he looked forward to possibly gaining a new idol friend through the show, and maybe that’s why he really wanted to do it. even though bc entertainment had their clear intentions, but duri thought that maybe they really thought it would be something good for him as well. he really needed to stop giving bc entertainment the benefit of the doubt. but, it was something that would simply continue on; because he always thought of good in everyone... even the greedy bc entertainment. 

he had gone into the backyard of the home that’s shared with kai, kangaroo and peanut butter had followed him to where he was going to do the self cam for the audition. finn and angel were off in the shade, not wanting to step foot into the rather sunny heat. but, that was more than okay with him, they’d just peak up every now and then to make sure duri was still there. he had gotten his camera ready, before he would sit down upon the grass, close to a tree, but still in the sun. he wanted to feel the warmth and it really just felt like the perfect spot to currently do the self camera audition - plus, it wasn’t going to rain, and he wanted as much sun before the sky would decide to downpour once again. upon sitting down, peanut butter had decided that they best place to put himself was in duri’s lap, with kangaroo just running around in the sun; he’d get tired easily though, simply because it’s always been a bit hard for him to hold himself up on just three legs. nonetheless, duri was ready to start. he’d press record on it, and he’d begin. 

“hello! i’m knight’s duri!” he greets the camera, before bowing with his greeting.  “shall we get started on the audition?” he asked, before giggling. his other hand would place upon peanut butter every now and then, however, it would move to read off the questions upon his phone. 

“what are your concerns these days?” he reads off the first question. it takes a few seconds to decide how he’s going to answer the question. does he lie about his concerns? does he be honest about what he wants to say? he’s not entirely sure what would be best. maybe, he should just lie, say everything is okay. that always seemed to be the best plan of action, didn’t it? 

looking upon the camera again, he begins to speak. “i don’t think i have concerns these days?” he starts, giggling a bit more after saying that line. “i’m living really happily and healthily! i don’t really have many complaints,” he said, shoulders shrugging softly. “i guess... if i had to pick a concern, maybe some more time to rest! but, i think that’s just something small. i’m really happy!” he said, his smile growing a bit. it wasn’t a total lie, he is really happy. but, he could really just use some more sleep. he was truly being overworked, but he didn’t want to complain. he would just continue to move on and be glad that at his age, so many products wanted him to be in cfs, and people still really wanted to hear the music that he puts out. so, there really can’t be many concerns for him to take part in. 

“next question!” he says, before looking down at his phone again to read off the question. “which same-sex idols do you look up to or want to get to know better?” he reads off, before looking back to the camera.

“oh, that one is easy!” he starts. “i really look up to all the members of decipher! but, i think everyone already knows that,” he said, laughing softly. “i just really like decipher sunbaenims and their music! they’re just really cool and they’re such free guys! i hope knight and myself have left as much of an impact on the industry as they have!” he said. “for who i want to get to know better... i think ting from unity is someone i’d like to get to know better! i’ve met him a few times because i’m close with jaewon and soo, but i haven’t gotten to know ting as well!” he said, giggling softly. “plus, i’ve read a lot online that some people think we look alike.” he said, giggling a bit more; though, his smile did grow quite a bit more.  “i think that’s all i can think of!” he said, finishing off the question. 

he looked down at his phone once more, “for the third question...” he starts, but gets interrupted by kangaroo, who came over to lick all over duri’s cheek, which seemingly made him laugh like a toddler. “hello kangaroo!” he greets the dog and pets him softly, especially scratching behind his ears. kangaroo would run off again, having his adventure; whilst the youngest one stayed within his lap for a nap. “sorry about that! third question!” he says to the camera, before finally reading it off. “do idol schedules make it hard for you to meet up with friends and talk? if yes, do you feel that is hard on you? if no, how do you manage to make time?” he says, before thinking upon it for a few moments. 

“i think idol schedules do tend to make it a bit harder to meet up with friends. sometimes, when my friends aren’t working, i’m working, and vice versa. however, my school friends, such as jinsol and hanui, have always come to everything that i’ve done to support me whenever they can! i try really hard to also do that for everyone else, especially my idol friends. but, i do my best with to manage to make time to spend time with my friends, especially because i really like getting to be with my friends and hang out with them! if there’s free time in my schedule, i spend it with friends, if they’re free too!” he said, the ending of his answer sounding very happy and chipper. it was something that’s incredibly difficult to manage, but he always tries his best to give his time to everyone that wanted his time. 

“ah, are we already on our final question?” he said, “i was having so much fun,” he spoke. his words sounded a lot more cute than he meant for it to sound, but that was very much just duri, to say the least. “okay, the final question is... if you could create your ideal menu for a meal with a friend, what would it include?” he says. he giggled softly, especially since it was really a question meant for him. cooking is something that he really just loves to do, especially for others. 

“i think for the first course, we’d start out with some bimbap or tteokbokki! i’ve always enjoyed both bimbap and tteokbokki, but they’d be our starter, because they don’t really fill be up. for the main course, i’d do korean barbecue with a lot of sides, just to make sure my friend would eat a lot! i really like making a lot of food as well, so i’d probably go overboard with the sides...” he says, giggling once more. “for dessert, i’d do my aunt’s hotteok recipes! there’s a lot of different ones that she makes for her and my uncle’s café... chocolate hotteok, apple cinnamon hotteok, pear cinnamon hotteok... ah, so many really good ones!” he says, giggling once again. “i think that would be my perfect menu to cook someone!” he nodded. 

“thank you so much for watching my audition and considering me! i really hope you chose me!” he says, before bowing towards the camera, and coming back up. “goodbye!” he spoke again, waving to the camera. 

he’d turn the camera off, before he’d move to record the voice recording for his possible future secret sibling. he’d press record button, before talking into it. 

“hello secret sibling! i’m really excited to get the chance to meet you and i really hope you’re excited as well!” he said, giggling once more. “i hope through secret sibling, we’ll get to become like real siblings! i’m looking forward to getting to take care of you during our time together and having lots of fun! i promise we’ll have lots of fun and do fun things! please look forward to getting to know me! see you soon!” 

with that, he’d turn the recording off, and make his way to send everything off to management, so they’d be able to submit his audition to secret sibling.

after spending a considerable amount of time pondering over where to shoot the audition video – a ridiculous thing, really, since sophie knows no one other than production is actually going to watch it – she chooses to do it on her new kitchen. she sets up the camera on a tripod on top of the counter as she waits for the kettle to boil some water for her afternoon tea. it’s one of her rare days off and she usually enjoys spending those bare faced, wearing nothing but a fluffy robe and lying down on the couch either playing games all day or watching some romantic drama. as it is, though, sophie has some light make up on and a proper outfit.

“ hello, i’m wish’s sophie and this is my audition tape for the secret sibling show, ” with a bow of her head, sophie throws the camera a blinding smile. “ thank you for considering me. ”

“ okay, first question, ” sophie flips her hair over her shoulder as she scrolls through her phone reading the questions sent over by her manager. “ what are your concern these days? hm, i’m always concerned about wish, of course. the quality of our performances, if the fans are happy with what we’re putting out, that’s always on the back of my head. but i guess, other than that, hm… well, i just moved into this apartment and it’s a bit barren at the moment? so i’m worried about decorating it and bringing some life to this place. ” she waves her hands around to show her clean and modern looking albeit a bit empty kitchen. “ i didn’t think interior design would be one of my concerns this year but here we are! ”

“ which idols do you look up to and would like to get to know better? ” sophie allows herself a moment to think about it – if she’s being honest, there are a lot of those. “ all of them? ” she laughs, throwing her head back. “ no, i’m just kidding. i guess i’m pretty close to the unnies in my company but i would love to get closer to yoonah unnie, minah unnie, hyeju unnie, minhee unnie and jiah unnie. from other companies, youngjoo sunbaenim, suji sunbaenim and byul sunbaenim. but honestly, i want to get closer to everybody! ”

“ do idol schedules make it hard for you to meet up with friends and talk? if yes, do you feel that is hard on you? if no, how do you manage to make time? ” sophie’s set up the camera in a way where she’s still visible when she goes to pick up the kettle to pour the water into her mug. “ yes, i guess? wish is pretty busy, especially lately. i think i’m just lucky because i’m also friends with my members, so if i want to talk and hang out with friends i can hang out with them! but we make do, me and my other friends. we just hang out whenever we have free schedules, even if it’s just for a couple of hours. everything is doable if you put in some effort. ”

“ if you could create your ideal menu for a meal with a friend, what would it include? ” sophie stirs the tea, her smile turning coy. “ to be honest, i don’t really know how to cook! so it’d have to be something like ramen because it’s the only thing i know how to do. but i can order a mean take out! ”

realizing she’s done with the questions, sophie gives another bow to the camera. “ thank you so much, once again. i hope i’ll be able to join the cast! ”

camera turned off, sophie picks up her phone to record the voice message that was also asked from them. “ hello, i’m wish’s sophie, please take care of me! i’m really looking forward to finding out who you are and i hope we can get along very well. i promise i’m a dutiful and caring dongsaeng! ”

with a show called secret sibling, minhee automatically assumed that she would end up being the elder sibling, due to her position of seniority in the industry. truthfully, she wasn’t sure how good of a job she’d do. the show would end and people would probably be wondering who was actually older between her and her partner.

there were a handful of senior girl groups to her still active though, so maybe she’d be paired with a member of one of those, like a member of bee or silhouette.

she leaned forward, taking one last glance at the questions her manager sent her for her audition tape, and pressed record. 

“hello!” this was almost identical to the set up for her shared home audition. minhee was sitting cross legged on her bed, with mouse sitting next to her. what could she say? she just liked to be comfortable. “i’m minnie from lipstick, auditioning for secret sibling!” she clapped her hands together. “hm, so what are my concerns these days?” she pressed a finger into her cheek cutely as she thought about it. “um, my career, and getting older. it’s apart of life for everyone, but it’s worrying to actually try and confront when its your turn to do so.” 

slowly her pout spread into a smile as she waved away any slightly negative thoughts. “ah, but never mind that! i try to cheer up my friends rather than put my problems onto them. i have a handful of friends, but i’d like to get to know a lot of people better. um, i really like aria’s members! i’ve admired jynx, jangmi, shinhye and the others since they debuted, since aria’s concept was my ideal concept as a trainee, so getting to know them has always been intimidating to me.” minhee covered her face with her hands after admitting it. “i never have really tried to because of that!” 

“my schedules do make things difficult, especially for meeting friends,” minhee admitted with a sad smile. she drummed her hands on her mattress in front of her. “it’s difficult for me, but i always try to make time regardless, even if it’s just for a few minutes every couple of weeks. a lot of my friends are idols, so i try to go along to their activities like concerts if i can.”

last question ... ideal meal. “for my ideal meal to share ... well, as long as i don’t have to cook, anything is ideal! i love sweet foods, so maybe it would be fun to go to a dessert buffet of some kind ... does that exist? i’m not sure, but it would be my ideal meal to share with a friend, even if it’s not the healthiest. wouldn’t it be fun? an endless supply of sweets and tea!”

“thank you for considering me!” with a happy wave, minhee leaned forward once again and stopped the recording.

2. VOICE RECORDING!

“hello!” minhee sing-songed into the receiver. “i’m going to melt you down like ice cream! can you guess who i am?” she paused for a couple of seconds, holding her breath for dramatic effect like anyone else would know, then let out a laugh. “it’s lipstick’s dance machine, minnie! i’m your secret sibling. i can’t wait for us to meet!”

when ting was told about the opportunity of participating in a new reality show called secret siblings, he knew that he had to jump at the chance. from what he could imagine, there would be a bunch of other idols who would want to participate, whether it be for the publicity of being on a reality tv show, or because they actually wanted to be on the show. for the maknae of unity, it was a combination of both. he wanted to be on the show for the publicity because he felt as though he needed to form some connection with the general public away from unity. if the public knew and loved him from the show, it would make them more likely to support him whenever he made the decision to go solo. as selfish as that sounded, he thought that his second reason for going on the show more than made up for it. 

he wanted to participate because the premise of the show appealed to him a great deal. as someone who craves affection and companionship any way that he can get it, it was a no brainer that he would want to be on a show called secret siblings. even though he had found siblings in his group members, he would never turn down the possibility of making a new friend and - hopefully, adding them to the collection of pseudo-siblings he had been collecting ever since he became a trainee under dimensions. 

he propped his phone up on his desk after settling down in his chair, turning on the camera and flipping it so that it was front facing. his eyes scanned the list of questions that his manager had handed to him after dropping him off earlier that day, trying to mentally create bullet points for each question in his brain so that he wouldn’t stumble over his words too much. he took a deep breath, then pressed the record button with the tip of his pointer finger.

“hello! i’m unity’s ting, and i’ll be auditioning to be apart of secret siblings’ main cast!” he chuckled at his own introduction, before clearing his throat.

what are your concerns these days?

“trying to get enough sleep.” the answer came out automatically, and held a very deadpan tone, before he started laughing. “no, but seriously, i think that these days, my concerns lie with the people i care about. we’ve all been working very hard these days.. i’m concerned that a lot of them aren’t putting their health before everything else..” he sighed, running a hand through his hair to push the stray strands away from his face. he hadn’t meant to bring down the mood of the audition though, so he quickly moved on to the next question to save face. 

which idols do you look up to or want to get to know better?

there were a lot of idols that came to mind when he thought about wanting to get to know them better. he couldn’t help the smile that spread across his face as he ticked off names one by one. “taeyong-ssi, duri-ssi, and jb-ssi!” he nodded proudly. they might have all been in one group, but they were people that he really did admire and sought to be on their level vocally one day. “i really admire their vocals and performance skills. i’ve looked up to them ever since knight debuted and i was just a little thirteen year old trainee.”

that was quite possibly the worst part of being an idol. at least it was in guanting’s eyes. there was nothing worse than not being able to talk to his friends and see them whenever he wanted to. he hadn’t seen joosung, one of his closest friends, in weeks. not since the wellness retreat, and before that, it had been a solid almost two months since he had seen him in person. “ah, yes.. idol schedules do make it very hard to meet up with my friends.. it’s really hard on me. i’m a very..” he licked his lips as he tried to find the right words. “affectionate person. i like having physical contact and skinship with my friends, so it kind of makes me sad that i can’t hug my friends whenever i want.” 

if you could create your ideal menu for a meal with a friend, what would it include?

“oh, food! my favorite topic.” he clapped his hands together. “we’d start off with roasted pork buns. those are delicious, really warm and sweet. it’d be like an appetizer. then we would have hainan chicken rice, roast goose and stir-fried beef with flat rice noodles. those are some of my favorite foods from back home! i’ve been practicing cooking a lot lately, so maybe i can cook for my sibling when we meet.” 

he smiled, nodding his head once as he glanced down at the list of questions to make sure he had answered them all. “thank you for watching my audition video! i appreciate you taking the time to view it and thank you for your consideration of me as a main cast member.” he bowed his head slightly, before ending the video. 

he quickly switched over to the voice recording widget, clearing his throat before clicking the record button. “hi sibling! it’s your new dongsaenggie. i won’t tell you my name just yet, but i just wanted to say that i’m very excited to meet you and i hope you’re ready for all the fun we’re going to have!”

secret sibling audition

"hello! you can call me the unnie on top."

then she paused, going to deleted the recording. nah, she had to think of a better intro and she'd give herself time to do it. instead, she was going to focus on the camera. once she did her audition video, then maybe she would have better luck with her audio recording. with that thought in mind, jiyoo went to the bathroom to do a double check in the mirror.

she had opted for doing her audition video at home. maybe, it'd help it feel more home-like. ( the show was another great way for her to get some time on a variety show. ) if only her bubbly personality would be accepted by the producers of the show.

"alright, here we go." she muttered a bit to herself and sat down in front her camera and started to record. first, there was the bow of her head, followed by a winning smile. "hello, i'm aria's jynx and this is my audition for secret siblings." she wanted to try a bit of an informal thing, even though the questions were on a piece of paper off the side.

"lately, i've been concerned about my future. i'm really happy to be in aria, there's nothing i love more." it wasn't a lie, aria gave her something to focus on. "but as we get older and advance more..we have to figure out how we will take care of ourselves in the future. i'm trying to focus on that more and expand myself." something she had already got a start on, this was why she wanted the show.

onto the next, "i looked up to bee sunbae's, it'd be fun to get closer to them." seeing as jinah was her sister and they needed help on that front, what better way to do it than a show? "and i really admire wish's north and lucid's alice...i think it'd be fun to be with them on the show." the next question was a bit of a funny one, one she could only answer in her own weird way.

"making time to see friends and family can be very hard as an idol..that being said, it was only hard for me to for a few years but i got the hang of it. i don't have a real 'plan' i'm just a person with a lot of energy so if a friend wants to hang out, i can be there for a bit." she was just a person that liked having something to do.

"...i'm not a good cook at all. i tend to eat out a lot of i'm not dieting. i'd ask my friend what types of things they'd like to eat and do my best make it good for him." as soon as it was over, she cut off the camera and picked up her phone to record a voice note.

"to whoever gets the voice note...i'm happy to meet you. if you want to meet someone that's very active then i'm your girl. and i just really love life and food! even though i'm not great cooking it." a well placed giggle. "it's nice to meet you, this is aria's jynx!"

and now that everything was finished, she could send it off to her manager.

talking about siblings was a sore spot for savannah. she didn’t want to think about her sibling. the sibling she lost. the siblings she could have possibly saved if only she’d seen the signs.

she didn’t like hearing about someone’s siblings. or talking about her own. she didn’t really mention isaac. talking about him brough memories back that she’d rather not deal with. although since he was a trainee with the company a lot of people knew of him. she’d been at the company for a good while. people knew about her. and they’ve at least heard of the death of a trainee.

she didn’t like seeing people with their siblings. a reminder of what she had. and what she lost.

so when her manager pulled her aside and told her about secret sibling she had no idea if he was mocking her or just thought she would make a great addition to the show. the latter seemed more likely.

but still she sat in front of her laptops video camera to film. she looked over the questions one last time before sighing and hitting record.

What are your concerns these days?

she honestly had no idea how to answer this question. her concerns were never important to anyone. her brother cared and her step dad cared. and one of those them is dead. but it’s been years since someone asked her what she was concerned about. so she did the only thing she could think to do. she lied. “i’m concerned about wishes future. where will we be in 10 years? will we still be performing? will we still be promoting? will we have disbanded?” and while yes her concerns did have some truth if she was honest she didn’t care about wishes future. she cared about hers. where will she be in 10 years? will she have finally made her mother proud? she didn’t know and that terrified her.

Which (same-sex) idols do you look up to or want to get to know better?

she sighed inaudibly as she read the next question. savannah has no friends nor does she really want to have friends. but she needed an answer, so like she always does she lies.

“i would like to get to know lipstick.” she said not straying on the question and quickly moving on.

“yes. idol schedules make seeing friends hard. i don’t have a lot of time to see friends.” it’s not like she had many friends. she spent most of her time trying to please her mom. and doing everything in her power to spite her mom behind her back. she was working on auditions and preparing for comebacks. her success came first. wish came second. and everything else came last. her mom never cared about her. never cared if she felt lonely or loved. she had no idea what it’s like to have a friend. and she means an actual friend. someone who holds you while you cry, and someone to confide in.

i would have to say a fancy meal. maybe go out and eat a fancy restaurant. hanwoo wouldn’t be bad.”

without a pause she starts her message to her secret sibling.

“hey. i can’t wait to meet you and get to know you. i hope we can have lots of fun and experience something new together. let’s make some memories.” she said with the biggest smile she could fake. her entire message was a lie, but hopefully she wouldn’t have to worry.

she waved at the camera before turning it off. after reviewing the film she hit submit. and closed her laptop. it was done. she was finished. hopefully she could forget about it soon enough.

Secret Sibling Audition 

Premise: audition for secret sibling Word Count: 1,017 words A/N: lmfao sia really put herself down in this skjgk like hi pls i’m sorry don’t pick me let me be the homebody without schedules

honestly. sia doesn’t understand exactly why bc was so intent on sending her for secret siblings. didn’t she say herself that she had three older brothers? did they not get the memo from her face and lazy lying on the sofa when her manager came that she didn’t want to be explicitly disturbed? was it not...enough? 

“its a good job for you.” the management said to her, only after sliding the thick file that she had to read for the subject over the table, watching with slight displeasure the lazy eyed stare that she gave back to them. “you need it, especially for a promotion for your upcoming solo in a few months. getting to know everyone and having connections is good.”

....and so, sia found herself in front of a self cam, squinting hard at the lense as she tried to make sense of what exactly they wanted and needed her to do. 

What are your concerns these days?

concerns? she tilted her head slightly, confused as to why this was deemed as one of the most compulsory questions to be answered.

“well. technically, i don’t know. i’m a bit of a huge perfectionist, and one of the biggest things that i’m worried about and concerned about is how bc isn’t using any of my songs, even though i’ve constantly been giving them demos just so that i could make songs and in a way, fulfill my aspirations and dreams as a music producer. it was one of the things that i actually aimed to continue doing even after i got listed as a part of lipstick’s lineup.” she blinks, her eyes glittering ever so slightly under the focused light. “that’s one of the things that i’m worried about. and apparently because i’m such a homebody that really doesn’t like moving around or doing some things other than making music, i’ve had a lot of people mention to me that i should be concerned with getting out of the house these days and making idol friends or connections, since i don’t actually have a lot of them.” 

Which (same-sex) idols do you look up to or want to get to know better?

“uhh, i’m going to be really honest here, since its the only thing that i actually know how to do. apart from the lipstick members that i’m close with, our leader yonce is someone that i’ve looked up to for the longest period of time.” she pauses, tilting her head ever so slightly as she squinted a little in the direction of the camera once more. “apart from that i guess i could list--no, actually, i can only list yonce as the only idol that i’ve looked up to for the longest while. other people...not so much?” she admits a little sheepishly. “it’s honestly probably because i’m just really bad at making friends or maintaining friendships since i’d rather keep so much to myself.” she laughs a little just once more. 

Do idol schedules make it hard for you to meet up with friends and talk? If yes, do you feel that is hard on you? If no, how do you manage to make time?

“uhm, not really ? its honestly half and half. at times its difficult to meet up and talk, others, not so much. my personality is honestly just a huge and a really, really big homebody. i actually have more male friends than same sex friends because i am really easygoing.” she admits. “ and there’s definitely to a great degree, a huge amount of difficulty for everyone that i’m currently close with to meet up with me. partly because our schedules differ so much, and partly because a lot of them like to party and go out, and i’m just more willing to sit at the piano for five hours or so and play songs after songs, and commit myself to composing music.” she shrugged. “

“desserts.” its almost an abrupt answer--the first and very thing that comes to her mind right when she thinks of it, without any prior thoughts, question nor qualm. “we all need our recharge of sugar. and plus, i don’t know any other menu apart from making a great amount of pancakes and homecooked food with recipes found from the internet, unforutunately.”

Idols have freedom with this as long as it’s appropriate, but are encouraged to reflect their personalities as much as possible. This voice recording will be given to their secret sibling if they are cast to reveal their identity.

she clears her throat, scrunching her nose up as she thought of what to say, waving the recorder a little closer to her face. “hello, secret sibling..whoever you are, whatever you are. actually, not whatever you are, since you can’t be anything but human, that’s ridiculous. anyway, hello secret sibling, i’m sia, and i’m kinda sorry that you’re going to get me as the secret sibling that you have. because i’m really just a big and huge homebody. i’ll probably lie down and not move, or you might come to just seeing me stuck like glue to somewhere, and not moving. if not, i’ll probably be with my headphones, trying to make some music and endlessly tinkering with the piano. i’m really not good at promoting the good sides of myself? because i don’t think i really have them? i’m too straightforward, too blunt and too honest, and maybe that also what makes people like me, i really don’t have any idea.” her eyes glanced towards her manager, a flicker of a smirk dancing across her lips as she twisted around towards her manager, who had her arms folded and was mouthing words, before abruptly covering her lips as sia laughed loudly--a rare sound that passed through her lips. 

“look, my manager unnie was shaking her head and saying i’m so bad at it.” she grinned, a flash of pearly teeth as her attention was drawn next to another object that grabbed her attention. “i have...i have actually a really short attention span, unless its things that i really really like, like for example music and the piano. so honestly? if i’m paired with someone who’s more active than me or in general i think we’re gonna be really really awkward.” she turned her attention back to the recorder, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. “and that’s all i have for this voice recording greeting for you actually. i don’t think i’m a really impressive person, just a really really boring one.” another chuckle passed through her lips. “so whoever you are, i’m really sorry, our episodes will probably be cut short because i’m so boring.”
