Ode to a geode. Katie and Monte’s wedding cake was a brilliant contrast. Seen from three sides it was simplistically elegant ivory fondant with gold leaf accents. Seen frontside it was spectacular tall top tier colored candy crystal art. Wedding cakes from the weekend. On Friday we had an Indian design on fondant for Ramyasri & Adarsh at the Embassy. On Saturday we went to Castle and Key with hand painted flowers on fondant & spiral buttercream for Grace & Leland. Then on to Buffalo Trace with fresh flowers on a semi naked cake for Josie & Aaron.
