Allright, listen up, buttercups.
I know the job sucks, and for shit pay. I know. My first ever job was working the front counter and drive-thru of a Dairy Queen. I get it.
But please, please, please, for the love of all that’s holy, when a customer specifies options, please make sure you follow their request.
This goes for the cooks in the back and the people manning the front counter and drive-thru. Take the couple extra seconds to check that you’ve got the order right. That you’re grabbing the correct sandwich off the warmer. Etc, etc.
I know you’re rushed, and you’ve got managers and customers yelling at you all day, but please, this is important.
You have no idea why they’re ordering their food that way. They may just not like those particular ingredients. Or the taste of them might make them throw up. Or they might even have a food allergy, or medical condition, or be on certain medicines where they have to avoid those particular foods.
And they are counting on YOU to get it right.
- Sincerely, the woman who ordered two burgers with no pickles today, whose receipt said no pickles, and yet, lo and behold, who discovered her burgers had pickles on them when I got home.
