Currently writing the 2nd chapter of my Re:Kinder story. Something I like to while I write is find songs I think fit the characters thematically. Even for characters who are harder than most (looking at you, Ryou.). So, I went down the rabbit hole, and I found a song that I felt fit Shunsuke pretty well. Cotton Candy Heart by TE/MO, aka Teagan Earley of the Epic the Musical Fame. The lyrics to me, really just read of someone who gives all they can until there is nothing left, but still acts like they’re okay until they hit their breaking point. Give it a listen when you can, it’s great. All of TE/MO’s stuff is. Now, I actually have a challenge. Yuuichi is pretty easy to find songs for, and I think it would be fun to invite others to find songs for the other characters, starting with Shunsuke. I am interested to see what you guys come up with. I already gave my mine, so here you go.

Card of the Week: The Fool (reversed) 

This creative, liberated card can often symbolize a blockage when it's reversed. Like extra fatigue at work, writer's block, or something that just feels stuck in you. 

This often means you need to face reality of something, like the real reason you're feeling stuck. It's often something we know about, but just aren't willing to face. So, The Fool tells us to take that leap and look for what's behind our feeling.

Card of the Week: The Fool (Reversed)

Oops, this silly pup got herself all twisted upside-down, as we have a reversed card this week! 

Usually, the Fool is about taking a leap, being spontaneous, and going for something (even if there's risk involved). In this reversed set up, she's letting us know we're hesitating. 

The specific message we're divining this week is...

Some big project in your life is starting to come to its end, like a new launch or set up or goal you're wrapping up this year. As a result, you're feeling a whole bunch of doubts all the sudden.

Hesitation is normal, but keep pushing forwards. The work you've put into this will be fruitful, even if you're questioning it right now.

Cotton candy heart and Ravenous are Athena coded. Let me explain:

Cotton candy heart is her before Pallas dies/before the coup against Zeus. The first verse/chorus is Hera telling her to hide that kindness because she was kind before ‘the cuckoo incident’ and doesn’t want that to happen to Athena. Athena doesn’t hide her kindness (Pallas dies so a small part of it dies as well but she still keeps it) despite being on Olympus, the times she does cover up her ability to feel things, it eats her alive. Then the coup against Zeus happens and the kindness is basically beaten out of her

Which leads to Ravenous where Athena is the cold ‘unfeeling’ goddess of wisdom that stands by Zeus and only works for her own interests. Her only desire is to have the greatest warrior of the mind and she believes that because she’s at the top she’s invincible (none of this is true btw)

Hopefully this made sense and I’m not just reading to deep into these songs and this character (go stream Fool)
