What I don’t get is how Coulson just... believes that Ward is helping them just so that... he can get his mind wiped?

Like, are you kidding me? No one, NO ONE would want to go through that willingly. And if they do, then maybe they are not in a good place and instead of wiping them you should I DON’T KNOW, HELP THEM.
