General Kenobi was antsy. It was hard to see, but vode were excellent at observing and translating body language. Something was making the General nervous.

Should Cody ask? The General wouldn’t keep something from them, right? He seemed to care for the clones, at least from what Cody had observed.

Cody would ask. It should be fine.

“General Kenobi, sir?”

The General startled—just barely—and looked his way. “Yes, Commander?”

“Are you…” Cody searched for the right word, “…alright? You seem… anxious.”

“Oh.” There was that smile, the small one General Kenobi used when he was trying to be reassuring. “I’m alright. I just…” His smile dropped, and his gaze turned distant. “I have a bad feeling.”

“I have a bad feeling.”

Cody looked to his left, where Fox always stood. Fox, who had a furrowed brow, a small frown, and a distant look in his eyes.

Cody tilted his head. “What kind of bad feeling?”

Fox’s frown deepened, before he sighed and shook his head. “I dunno. Just… bad.” He looked to Cody, relaxing ever so slightly when their eyes met. “Be careful during today’s exercise, yeah?”

“‘Course, Fox’ika,” Cody smiled and pressed their shoulders together. “I’m always careful.”

Careful didn’t account for a malfunctioning speeder bike. Cody was lucky the crash hadn’t taken his eye out, but he’d be laid up in medbay for a few days and have a wicked new scar.

They all started paying more attention to Fox’s bad feelings after that.

....... In your force sensitive Fox au, what would have happened if Priest had taken Fox and put him in one of his training squads?

Ooooh, that is such an interesting question! Thank you for asking it!

I think there are two situations that could have happened.

The first, Fox would have been removed from his batch and put with others Priest put in his training squads. Then I think, without Alpha-17 and his batchmates to support him, Fox would have become meaner and more prone to anger, leading him to use the Dark Side. As for what would have happened to him on Coruscant, I still think he would help defeat Palpatine, but while fighting out of love for his brothers, probably would have drawn on the Dark Side and later would have refused to join the Jedi out of fear of himself. But his Buir and batchmates would have been there to help him heal.

The second way things may have gone, is I think Alpha-17 would have used every resource he had and used all his skills to get Fox reassigned back to his batchmates (squad 17) from Priest's training squad. This would have taken time, possibly a couple of months. So when Fox is back with squad 17, I think he'd be a much harsher fighter in the training rooms but withdrawn out of the training rooms. His buir and batchmates would help him, but I think being assigned to Coruscant would have been the only thing to help Fox because that would have taken him away from Priest. In this situation, Fox would still help defeat Palpatine, but again he might be wary of joining the Jedi Order out of fear of what he himself might do as he is quick to anger when his brothers are threatened. So while he doesn't use the Dark Side like in the first situation, he would still know the risk was there due to being in Priest's training squad.

In both situations I think Echo would be trying to help Fox, as he has dreams about what could happen to Fox and the galaxy as a whole if Palpatine won.

He'd never really thought about his abilities in relation to the Force which the Jedi use. He's no Jedi, that's for certain, but now that he understands the Jedi see the world the way he does... Being a Jedi would be nice. The crystal in his hand is pale yellow.

"Commander, you're yellow!"

He smiles at the child. "Seems so."

My last line was for Fallen Fox (still without an actual title), because inspiration struck and I managed to make some progress!

The Chancellor said something else, but Fox was so focused on keeping in control of himself that the words passed right over him. He hoped it hadn't been something he needed to respond to. The Chancellor would be cross.

Summary: Throughout his life, Fox has known he is different from his brothers. He can sense what someone is feeling, he can tell if someone approaching the barracks is a brother or a trainer to hide from. He doesn't know what this sense is, but he knows he can use it to help his brothers. He also knows he can't tell anyone about it. He's different from what the 'perfect clone' should be, as he grows, Fox knows he shouldn't be able to know what he does. But he is determined to protect his brothers when he can.

Fox is close to his batchmates during their training years on Kamino. But then the war comes and forces them all apart. Fox is stuck on Coruscant and he cannot protect his batchmates, but he has a Guard full of vod'ike to protect and by Force he is going to try. But as he staggers along with his hidden sense as he calls it, Fox may just stumble upon a sinister plot regarding the Jedi his batchmates serve faithfully and call their friends. However, before he can stop any plots, Fox first needs to make sure he keeps himself alive. Coruscant is it's own battlefield after all.
