I really like this speech. It's one of my favorite speeches I've heard and from one of the best movies Charlie Chaplin made I feel. I also think it's an appropriate time to post this to not forget our humanity especially with what's happening in the world right now... I believe we can overcome these hard times. I believe there is good in people in even in the worst people there is and I want to be an example that good people exist even when we are being bombarded with scary and harsh news in the world amd our personal lives by being good and kind and not angry... and just to spread some love because we all need that. Experiencing violence by someone who purely hurt me for my identity is scary and I was angry for a short time. But seeing my friends, co-workers, strangers and family all show me support it's just really important to me that I forgive whoever the guy was who did that to me. I have forgiveness to people who hate me for my skin color and my gender and sexual identity. But i hope they see that hate isn't the answer. That they can change and try to see the good inside themselves...
