Barely verbal, I had no way to convey my fondness and appreciation of her great gifts. So I just smiled a lot at her. Regardless of what the photographer and creative director wanted. She expressed no interest. But behaved far better than her suitor. I was heartbroken until a new love interest appeared. We were shooting a Bayer aspirin commercial outside Toronto. At the foot of stairs we climbed scores of times, I whispered to my new interest, a star of a children's program called "Forest Rangers," "Don't worry, I will save you." Save her from what I am not sure... I guess the incessant stair climbing with little purpose in my little mind. Who knows? But I got to speak to her! Unfortunately it was a one way conversation as she, too, behaved perfectly in front of cameras. Love really is blind.
