Rain rain go away, come again another day... . . Whilst staring out the window at the gloom and wet, my thoughts looping in a somewhat negative spiral, feeling unmotivated, sleepy and sure that I do not belong in this climate... . I was suddenly reminded of an @drwaynedyer quote I love... “Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change”. Right. Fine. Okay. So I started thinking about what’s awesome about the rain... - being cozy - My fire place - Getting things done inside - Reading - Being creative - Feeding the forest!! FEEDING THE FOREST! Yes the forest!!! The trees! They are so happy! You know me, I love my trees. . . I decided I needed to get out of my head and into the forest to shift my feelings about all this wet and darkness. . . What transpired was a 3 hour run/dance/frolick through the gorgeous, rain soaked, magical forests, where I allowed myself to fully surrender and get soaked to the bone. I was a ninja at first, careful to maneuver and leap across huge puddles and creeks so my shoes wouldn’t get wet. Then I finally said fuck it and became 5 years old. Stomping through puddles, squealing and singing! (Bonus to running in the forest in the rain is most don’t so you have it all to yourself!!) The smell of wet cedar, symphony of rain drops falling from the tree tops, rivers running through my sneakers, rain washing over my face... Glorious! . . I remember earlier this week while walking with my sister in the rain a man said to us... “Some people walk in the rain, others get wet”. What does this mean to you? Perspective is such a powerful tool. I’m always thankful when I have the awareness to chose it. Is there an area in your life that could use a change of scenery? Metaphorically speaking of course 😉 May we always have the capacity to dance in the rain and get drenched with life. ♥️ . . . . . . #perspective #changethewayyoulookatthings #danceintherain #getsoaked #puddlestomp #makelemonade #livelifehard #jumpforjoy #singoutloud #hugatree #changethefilter #bethebossofyourlife #smellthecedar #keepitsimple #forestwisdom #luxuriate #inthenow #youarelove (at Vancouver, British Columbia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B30Hn5Ohs2i/?igshid=1iw8uj8pj6lh2
Whispers of the Forest: Stories in Caps and Stems http://dlvr.it/THPcFr
The Forest Knows
Step into the magical world of the forest with this enchanting song. Feel the breeze, listen to the whispers of the trees, and let nature guide you. This song speaks to the deep connection between humans and the natural world, reminding us that nature can help us find our way if we are lost. Let the raven, the wren, and the wisdom of the woods lead you to new discoveries and secrets hidden in every branch and leaf. Stand where you are, listen to the breeze, The trees ahead, the bushes beside, They are not lost, they know the way, Where you are is called Here today. And Here is a powerful stranger, Ask permission to understand, The forest breathes, hear its whisper, It made this place with its own hand. The forest knows just where you stand, Let it guide you, take your hand. Every tree holds a secret true, Every branch brings something new. If you can’t see what nature does, Then it’s you who’s lost, not us. Raven and Wren, they see it clear, Each trunk and branch, nothing to fear. If what surrounds you seems a blur, You’re the one who’s lost for sure. And Here is a powerful stranger, Ask permission to understand, The forest breathes, hear its whisper, It made this place with its own hand.
The Power of Collaboration in an Ancient Forest | Unity In Diversity | Kutty Story | Digital Bud
In the heart of an ancient forest, various creatures lived—birds with colourful plumage, squirrels that darted from tree to tree, and even a wise old owl who watched over the forest from his perch. Despite their differences, they all lived in harmony, each playing their part in the ecosystem. One year, nevertheless, disaster struck. The rains didn’t arrive, and the river that flowed through the…
