Tyler Lockwood deserved better...
Tyler was right to be upset at Caroline for sleeping with Klaus and wanting nothing to do with her.
Klaus (and his family) had terrorized Mystic Falls since their arrival, killed Tyler and turned him into a hybrid, became his slave, killed his mother, and banished him out of town which essentially drove him away from Caroline. He spends months in pain breaking out of the sire bond.
All Tyler wanted in that scene was for Caroline to leave him alone and she couldn’t even muster up the decency to do that. Caroline tends to only understand her feelings and want people to get over their grief at her convenience which made her incredibly inconsiderate and self-centered.
Then Stefan had to punch him in the face because he saw Caroline’s selfish ass crying, talking about “she didn’t deserve that”. Yes the hell she did! She wouldn't have appreciated it if Tyler slept with her worst enemy while she was gone, that's for sure. Tyler deserved better.
