Hey, Fred. Don’t think I forgot about you..
I’ve been through a lot of heartbreaks but this is, by far, the most painful yet.
So how do we deal with it? Do we cry for them until we lose all our fluids inside our body? Do we mourn for them until we join them? Or de we simply accept the fact that things just happen and we have no control over it?
I had to lose someone before I started giving significant importance to mental health issues. That alone is sad. We keep saying the brain is the most powerful organ in our body, yet we tend to believe it can handle everything on its own. But that’s not true. Our brain can do so much; our mind can do so much; we can only do so much. And that is why now, more than ever, I ask of everyone to be more sensitive and more aware of our surroundings. Not just for our family, friends, ourselves, but also for strangers we barely know. Let’s take care of one another. It’s cliché, but it’s true: you matter.
My friend thought he doesn’t- didn’t. But he does. He always will.
