Ya know I've always thought ForHers for mental health medication seemed sketchy and after reading more about it, it def seems like a bad idea for multiple reasons.
You don't actually talk to a doctor virtually, it's just messages they send after you fill out an assessment. They send you a list of meds and you pick on your own based on a description they provide. Then they say you have to buy 3 months all at once, at $50/month, so $150 up front. Which is basically the cost of the service cause meds don't actually cost that much if you use insurance.
The only upside is you can use this without insurance, but it's hella expensive to pay that much for some fluoxitine.
Also, WHY is it separated by gender??? It's SO unnecessary to have medicines separated. I guess cause half their marketing isn't actually mental health it's for hair, skin, and dick pills.
And then they tag on the mental health aid on the end, seemingly playing off of people shame around it, like, "yeah, we know you're embarrassed about your mental health. Don't worry. You don't have to actually see a doctor. Just get meds over the internet 👍"
