"i heard you were a mushroom scientist so here is a snack for you!" it is one (1) of the funkiest mushrooms quinn has found in the woods. they do not know if it is safe to eat. (from poppyplanted!)

concern rolled through julien’s skull, tangling into horrible knots with an anxiety-driven desire to be polite. he forced a grin, hoping his closed teeth could keep the deluge from spilling over, and plucked the mushroom from their hands. At least remove the threat, first….

…Nope. It’s way harder to be polite to a dead person. the dam at his mouth dissolved in a flood of worried words as they tumbled out.
