Just after the library, Deja Brew was probably Leo’s second favourite place to visit. Books and tea were both things that he quite obviously enjoyed, so the combination was sure to win his affections. Perhaps it would even be in first place if not for the fact that there wasn’t a silence rule like in the library.
A rule like that was sorely needed on a day like this. The café was full of people, and though their chatter wasn’t anything more than gentle mumblings Leo felt a little overwhelmed. But oh well. He had come all this way and wasn’t going to act spoilt over that little inconvenience.
When he had selected a book from the shelves - Cloud Atlas, it was - he looked around for a seat. Usually it would be easy to find a table for himself, but not today. Perhaps because it was a Saturday.
There was an empty seat, however. The other occupant of the table was a beautiful, strong-looking woman; he had to admit that he often didn’t get along well with women, but she looked like an exception with the noble way she held herself. It reminded him of someone.
He shuffled over to the empty seat and looked to her before taking it, speaking as politely as possible.
“Excuse me miss, do you mind if I sit here? There are no free tables. I promise I don’t take up very much space.”
