It can be so very many things

It can be the way you wake up beside them

As a red tunicked boy grabs your face.

A kiss to one cheek and then another.

A peck to your forehead and a bump of noses.

It can be the breath taking kiss

That your love presses to your lips.

Taking away all thoughts but him.

Just leaving his love on your lips and in your heart.

It can be the countdown of minutes

As you wait for him to be ready for your date.

The anxiety and excitement over where he's taking you.

Feet tapping as you wait for his hand in yours.

Sitting across each other as you laugh and chat.

Letting each other try your order

As the experience makes your heart warm

With the sincerest of care and joy.

It can be the wrapping of handmade gifts,

Lovingly thought of, meticulously planned.

Hours spent crafting or searching

Until you finally have it!

It's the excitement of tearing it open,

Joy sparkling in your eyes as you pull it out.

A one of a kind piece, Something you have to protect at all costs;

While your partner is flustered by your joy.

It can be the comfort of a meticulously made blanket fort,

One of a kind and hiding them away from their jobs,

A place where they can relax, cuddled up while reading.

Whispering to each other over giggles.

It can be the ease of knowing your love is right beside you,

Looking over their shoulder at the new page spread out.

Warm and comfy, soft and relaxing

Whispers passed back and forth to keep their oasis safe.

It's a shooting star passing by,

It's a meteor entering orbit.

It's watching you love

Fall asleep in your arms.

After a night full of star gazing

To show them how much they mean to you.
