I'm gonna be a c-c-combo breaker, give me Daud for the character thing for old time's sake.
Nah, your my surprise meal enhancer! Here’s to our favorite assassin.
do I like them: I definitely still have a soft spot for the old guy.
5 good qualities: Patient, cunning, a master of his craft, cared and trained street urchins to become skilled assassins, humble
3 bad qualities: Bitter, remorseful, and he really underestimated Corvo’s ability to throw rocks against a single, rotten wood barrier
favourite episode/etc: I mean the whole of “Knife of Dunwall”/”Brigmore Witches” really sold me on the series as a whole, and skyrocketed him from threshold guardian to my favorite character.
Otp: Daudsider 100%
Brotp: Billie Lurk
Ot3: Really? I guess I’d like to see him, Jessamine and The Outsider wander the Void for a while and talk about life? Totally nonsexual though; he did kill her in front of her child and lover, after all. The Outsider can tease them both (but mostly Daud).
Notp: Corvo/Daud...I just can’t get behind it?
best quote: When he whispers The Outsider’s name, whatever it might be, into his ear. Shut up I know there wasn’t an actual quote, but I’m counting it, dammit.
head canon: He left all the money he earned from his assassin days behind. Not that he didn’t have enough of it, but because he knew he’d be leaving 40+ assassins, many of whom were kids, on their own. He took the bare minimum, knowing he’d likely struggle given his age and infamy, and left everything behind as an apology for abandoning the closest thing he’s ever had to a family.

“When the jeweler next door was forced into retirement and sold his shop, Crocodile absently wondered how long he would have to endure the vacancy beside his upscale tattoo parlor.
But a few months later when a pink-striped awning appeared along with a hand-painted sign, he almost wished it had remained as such.”
A/N: When I went to look at my Google Docs, I found this gem sitting there unfinished and re-read what Fowo and I had written together and it filled me with a decent dose of nostalgia. So, as a surprise gift to her, I decided to post it here and hopefully pick it back up where we left off. <3
for the longest time I wondered why I found the Daud with a mustache you drew a while ago so attractive... now i'm playing Ace Attorney again and I realized: Valant Gramarye, Thank you.

fowo replied to your post: ive managed to completely fuck up my sleep again...
i’m right with you there bro
whaddup, ive watched two horror movies already and now im gonna start on chopped
@fowo drew this incredibly sweet RP sketch of Shadow and Leo reuniting after being separated for a while and hhhh ;__;
Anyway, I inked it! But the hard work was already done xD Look at those beautiful expressive faces <3
okay now you gotta gimme Timmy too.
I was hoping you’d ask me for The Outsider ;)
do I like them: I have somewhat mixed feelings regarding the design changes. On the one hand, he looks more like a “forever 15” year old, which makes sense given that was his age of death and ascension, but at the same time I really prefer the dryer, sarcastic Outsider from the first game who taunted Corvo and messed with Daud.
5 good qualities: Is, like, 4000 years old and possesses a great deal of information and knowledge, is a nice chaotic neutral, his domain is the Void...which is awesome (though one version is clearly better than the other), has an awesome sea-related theme going for him that makes his character so wonderfully tragic,
3 bad qualities: He has the ability to tell Corvo he’s about to be betrayed, but doesn’t. He has the ability to let Daud know he’s about to be betrayed, but doesn’t. The Outsider had Delilah running around in his Void and somehow never noticed until it was too late???
favourite episode/etc: Not gonna lie, as out of character as it is for Corvo, The Outsider shaming him for losing Emily again is pretty hilarious. (I also have a soft spot for some of the “episodes” we wrote…)
Otp: Daudsider, because I’m terrible.
Brotp: None. He’s a trickster god that enjoys giving powers to interesting people just to see what might happen.
Ot3: Again, I really like this idea of The Outsider using Emily or Jessamine as a means of guilting Daud. So, Daud/Outsider/Jessamine, but no romance whatsoever. Just talking and a lot of terrible feelings.
Notp: Corvosider
best quote: Oh! With Daud, at Medium/High Chaos. “...Emily's life hangs in the balance, and so does yours. You've taken a bloody road here, and no one has enjoyed it more than I, but there are still a few choices left to make. I give my Mark sparingly, Daud. I've seen it used for power, for love, for money. For strange obsessions that drove the wearer mad. But very, very rarely, for redemption.”
head canon: I think, once he’s freed, he gains access to emotions he hasn’t felt for thousands of years. It’s overwhelming, and while he feels somewhat guilty for putting Corvo and the others in difficult positions, would happily do it all over again because he’s still a punk kid. He really appreciates Daud for giving him his name back.
