oh man so i have a couple of fereldan wardens who ended up in orlais, right? and they eventually get sent back with some orlesian wardens to amaranthine in time for da:a

which, i’d initially explained as the orlesians being like “let’s get these fuckin fereldans out of here”

but i just realized, not only does merle visit ferelden to see their clan and circumstantially rescue kit from the tainted mirror, fox goes back twice in one year, to visit his family and accidentally start the events leading to the alienage riots, and then later to investigate why he hasn’t heard from them

do they ever spend any time in orlais?? the warden-commander’s probably like “if you’re so determined to be in ferelden just STAY THERE”

a few notes:

most people without a line have something between a cordial work relationship or a friend of a friend type thing, depending

kit on the other hand is on friendly terms w p much everyone. they’re just too enthusiastic to ignore

you’ll notice quentin’s kinda off in his own circle of people he knew pre awakening. this is right around when his mental health starts going dooownhill, so he’s not making much of an effort to talk to new people

dwinna dislikes oghren at first bc he reminds her of the awful transphobic people she knew in orzammar. turns out he’s ok tho

ket and sigrun were carta buddies back in the day; together with kit they are an unstoppable pranking force of nature. amaranthine fear them

dwinna and ket have been dating for like a year when da:a begins, but the full triad have been crushing for at least half that and get together partway through da:a

merle distrusts adison at first bc they think kit is gonna get hurt trying to be friends with a Tranquil, who, yanno, doesn’t feel emotions. it takes some discussion but they work it out
