I heard that there was a fox den close to my home and had Foxes on my list of wildlife I have not taken a photo of. After a couple attempts, they were out and playing. Shot from across the street with a telephoto lens so I was not too close to disturb them. Kickstarter発の大失敗カメラ「Foxshot」

日本のテクノロジーメディアでも大きく取り上げられた、Kickstarter発の超小型カメラFoxshot。

当事業所にも届きました。で、結論から言えば全然ダメダメ。

まず、たったふたつのボタンで電源ON・OFF、Wi-Fiコネクティング、カメラ単体での動画撮影、そしてそこから静画切り替えと4つの機能を無理やり持たせてるから、どうしても操作性がゴチャゴチャになる。

このあたり、他の出資者からもツッコまれてるらしいんだ。

しかも、micro SDカードを入れてもそのストレージが専用アプリにまったく反映されない。一応スマホのストレージ容量は読み込んでるけれど、だからといってそっちに撮影した画像を保存することもできない。

オイコラちょっと待て。写真をセーブできないってどういうことだ？

おまけに、このFoxshotを日本で発売するっつってた代理店が、大々的にプレスリリースを配信した後にそのページを削除してるんだよね。開発者とトラブったか、いざ製品を試してみて案の定売れるような代物じゃないと判断したか。まあ、両方かもね。

今後、アプリを修正するという形で対応するのだろうか。もしそれで保存の問題が解消したとしても、澤田がここで書いた評価は変えないよ、うん。箱出し直後から使えないっつーのは、一体どういうことなんだ。
