Me, who hasn’t watched Miraculous a day in my life, seeing Adrienette become canon after 5,420,069 years of the show teasing it:

Look I know the internet is obsessed with Sherlock Holmes for whatever reason because Agatha Christie type mysteries are usually targeted towards the 40-and-over demographic but man alive the amount of people who are completely blind to Christie’s influences in Knives Out does actually drive me up the wall.

Benoit Blanc is modern day gay American Poirot. He is similar to most classic detectives in the way that they all follow a certain amount of tropes but like. He’s Poirot. He has a noticeable accent that makes people underestimate his intelligence, he’s conscious of his wardrobe and appearance, he’s certainly not modest, he has a habit of taking mostly young women (+ a young man) who are suspects in a case and otherwise not being properly advocated for under his wing. Multiple of his outfits in Glass Onion ARE the same kinds of outfits you would see in a Poirot film. Some of them are in fact identical. Peter Ustinov Poirot my beloved.

The whole point of Holmes is that he has a consistent sidekick who is NOT a suspect or involved in the case. Yes, Poirot has a collection of other helpers (Hastings, Lemon, Race, Japp, etc.) but he takes on a father figure role for characters in a case in much the same way Blanc does.

These films follow the conventions Agatha Christie popularised. You all are giving Doyle more credit than he’s due. Internet acknowledge women challenge. Idk.

apparently they were talking about if they had to fuck one person in our year who would it be and said acquaintance said ME ??? apparently she finds me attractive and i have "main character energy" which she supposedly finds attractive 😭
