Something I noticed during KoG is when we're first introduced to Frankie and Andrea

One of the swords is broken meanwhile the other has a broken shield. These flawed knights need each other. Andrea (Broken sword) is willing to go along with Frankie to ensure her protection no matter how crazy it gets (As we saw in the pilot) and Frankie (Broken shield) is willing to throw the punches and put herself in harms way for the safety of others.

We can see how they rely on each other from Frankie stealing parts for Andrea, encouraging her while they go to their equally shitty jobs and pushing her out the way when Sparky started attacking. Same with Andrea pulling her out of her fantasy trances (most likely psychosis), never belittling her dreams, threatening and negotiating with Sparky to let them go and getting her to the halo.

For what one person lacks the other can make up for, they have needed each other since they were kids and most likely for what else is to come.
