Tbh this is probably my fav quote tbh. I like the idea of roman trying to comfort Remus.

But it genuinely looks like Roman has absolutely 0 clue about what he’s supposed ti be doing. As if he’s never done this before. Which is 100% probably true.

Tbh I can’t really see Remus even being like this all that much unless he was pushed so far. Roman has never seen anything like this so he doesn’t even know how or comfort him.

(I lost words on how to describe it so yeah lol)

And tbh I think the switch to mascara is kind of big brain??? (Ik it was for comedic purposes but still lol) switching the convo to a more comedic side could be romans way of comforting Remus by distracting Remus from what had happened bt kind of trying to make him laugh?/confused lol.

Remus saying this to Janus

Janus knows it's true. He can see the tears welling in Remus' eyes. The chaotic desperation and heartbreak is so vivid on his forced smile. He knows he can never connect with Remus the same way as Virgil did, and he doesn't want to. He can't keep up with the duke, he can only keep him on a leash for so long. He's tired, frustrated, and he can't hide that from Remus behind sarcasm and nonchalance.

Remus misses his partner in crime. He misses feeling secretly wanted and appreciated. He knows he's too much for Janus to handle. He knows that staying too close to Janus for too long will ruin their friendship. Maybe it's already ruined.

And without another word, Janus leaves Remus to calm down or stew. Remus doesn't expect him to come back.

Somewhere else in the mindscape, a cold chill runs up Virgil's spine. Something is wrong, but he couldn't tell you what that something is

I love it when people draw Roman as a muscular Disney prince that’s built like a chad or smth lol. But then I had an idea lol, what if we drew Remus as a pale and bony and awfully skinny individual lol? Like Roman is the muscular sibling with the “perfect” body. Perfect muscles. Perfect athletics.

Then there’s Remus. Pale. Bony to the point you can feel the bones. It makes sense because he only eats food with no nutritional value like deodorant or bugs (I headcanon him with a pica eating disorder). So he’d probably is also really underweight. As in anyone could probably pick him up with ease like he’s a child or smth.

headcanon with this: whenever Roman and Remus get in the argument when Remus is annoying Roman or taking something to far he scoops up Remus and puts him in a high place or smth and tell him he’ll let him down if he says sorry or doesn’t do it again lol.

So I appreciate this hc a lot. I will say that he probably has more muscle than it seems just because bugs are a good source of protein. Certainly not enough to keep him from looking like a Tim Burton stop-motion protagonist. The real Jack Smellington if you will. Suck it Virgil

Roman will try the whole sticking Remus on a high shelf thing, and then tell him he'll let him down if he apologizes and behaves.

Key word: Try

Because Remus has no fear. He will jump down and run. And if he falls, he makes xylophone noises because he's a bony gremlin. And some dumb jock prince is no match for chaos skeleton antics!!

And if he doesn't feel like getting down right away, well there's a perfectly good shelf and he has his pica. Chew that shelf like a termite (which happens to be one of his favorite snacks). If he munches enough he will fall on the floor, unfazed, even if there's cracking and he lands in an awkward position. It's unsettling for Roman and he cannot be bothered with this gremlin anymore for a while

The yandere trope is kinda funny to me because I can’t take it seriously so yandere dukexiety where Remus is just crazy and Virgil is just oblivious no matter what

it could be fun and a little angsty if Virgil weren't oblivious to Remus being....deranged and obsessive, but rather so self-loathing that he's just grateful and maybe even a little doubtful that someone actually likes him that much and wants him, so he can't really register that this is...not quite right

Imagine how everyone would react if Remus said this to Roman

Is he saying this seriously? Because if that's the case you know Virgil and Janus would be on high alert. Did something happen between the two of them? Did Remus hit his head or get a brain parasite (which would be common on his side of the Imagination, js)

Roman would be stunned and heart broken, because deep down, he sees Remus as the ultimate pest, a brother.

Patton would be confused, a little sad (mainly because Roman is hurt) and probably a little relieved, whether he admits it or not. His precious little prince never had to ever associate himself with the unsavory duke, no matter how bad that idea is, feelings are feelings and Patton has a lot of them...and biases...

If he's just being a shit for the sake of getting a reaction, and it's not exactly obvious, Virgil would shift his worry to Roman and Janus would watch the chaos unfold with a glass of wine.

If it is obvious, no one actually reacts except Patton. And then he dials back any upset feelings and goes into Disappointed Dad Mode.

On the off chance Remus is coming out as transfem, which I would fully support, the confusion and upset would give way to frustration, and then happy warm fuzzy acceptance. Janus still enjoys the chaos with his wine, because chances are he already knew ages ago. Virgil is having a mini crisis because he's gay, he doesn't like women, but he does like Remus, does that make him bi or something? But he was miserable pretending Thomas was bi for years. So much existential dread....that a certain dark creativity can shatter with a little wink and a smoochie
