synopsis: You are not what people think of when they hear Hannibal's son. Yes, you're polite and well mannered, but you also show affection freely—solely to your father. In other words, you're a cuddle bug and big daddy's boy.

Hannibal Lecter was not known for warmth. His reputation, whether among colleagues or acquaintances, was one of elegance, formality, and control. But the people who thought they knew him had never stepped into the quiet, sunlit corners of his home, where his twelve year old son’s laughter softened the edges of his world.

They’d expected a miniature version of him, and in many ways, you were exactly that. Hannibal had raised you to navigate a room with grace, to listen more than you spoke, to let your words be deliberate. But where Hannibal was an immovable stone wall, you were the ivy that clung to it. Warm, alive, persistent. You didn’t keep a polite distance; you sought him out, attached yourself to his side, and stayed there like you belonged.

Because you did.

Mornings in the Lecter household were unhurried, each one beginning with the comforting rhythm you and Hannibal had built together. He would be in the kitchen, immaculate in a pressed shirt and vest, moving with the measured precision of a man who turned even breakfast into an art form. You padded in wearing your slippers, hair slightly mussed from sleep, and without hesitation you crossed the room to wrap your arms around him from behind.

“Good morning, Papa.” you mumbled into the fabric of his shirt.

His hands never paused in their work, but his head inclined toward you, and you felt the faint brush of his lips on your hairline. “Good morning, my boy.”

He let you linger there while he plated your breakfast. With anyone else, he would’ve insisted on space. With you, he shifted naturally to accommodate the extra weight against him. When you finally sat down, he placed the plate in front of you and rested a hand briefly on your shoulder.

“You slept well?” You nodded between bites. “Good. You’ll need your energy for your studies. You’ve been doing exceptionally well in mathematics.” His praise was quiet but sincere, and it pulled a proud smile from you before you could stop it.

When you accompanied Hannibal to the opera, to a gallery opening, or to his office, people often underestimated how close the two of you truly were. You stayed near him, sometimes slipping your hand into his without a second thought, sometimes leaning lightly against him during conversation.

If someone tried to monopolize his attention for too long, you had a way of quietly inserting yourself into the exchange. Polite, yes, but deliberate.

Once, Alana smiled and said, “You’re very attached to your father.”

You met her gaze, your tone steady. “He’s my only family. Why wouldn’t I be?” Hannibal’s hand came to rest against the center of your back, thumb brushing once in silent acknowledgment.

Evenings were sacred. Once your homework was finished, you’d drift into his study without knocking, curl up beside him on the leather sofa, and rest your head against his shoulder.

He’d mark his page, shifting so you could lean more comfortably, and begin reading aloud. Sometimes you’d fall asleep like that, lulled by his voice. If you stirred, he’d press a kiss to your temple, not even pausing in his sentence.

When it was time for bed, you’d hug him once then again, your little ritual, and he’d kiss your forehead. “Rest well, my darling boy.”

BONUS SCENE:

It happened on a quiet Saturday afternoon. You were in the kitchen, perched on the counter while Hannibal chopped vegetables for dinner. You were chattering about the idea of living with him forever. How you’d stay here even when you were grown, because why would you ever want to be anywhere else?

Hannibal, in a rare attempt at teasing, glanced over with a faint smirk. “Ah, but you won’t be here forever. Someday you’ll have your own life, perhaps far from mine.”

The words were said lightly, almost idly. He expected you to roll your eyes or protest in jest. Instead, you went very still. Your lower lip trembled before your eyes flooded, and the knife paused mid-slice as you scrambled off the counter and clung to him.

“Don’t say that,” you choked out, voice breaking. “I don’t want to be far from you. I can’t. You’re my only family, Papa. You’re all I have.”

The sheer panic in your tone cut deeper than any blade. Hannibal set the knife aside instantly, pulling you into his arms, one hand cupping the back of your head.

“My boy,” he murmured, voice low and steady against the top of your hair. “I was only teasing. You will never be without me. Never.”

You buried your face into his vest, holding him as if someone might drag him away. Hannibal’s arms tightened around you, and there was a flicker of something uncharacteristic in his chest. A sting of regret for causing you distress, even in jest. He smoothed your hair, pressing a kiss to your temple and then your forehead.

“I am here,” he said again, more firmly this time, as if willing the words into the very walls of the house. “I will always be here.”

It took time for your breathing to slow, for your grip on him to loosen. When you finally leaned back, his hands stayed on your shoulders, eyes searching your face.

“You are my heart, Y/N. Nothing, not time nor distance, will ever change that.”

You nodded, still sniffling, and Hannibal guided you back to the counter space where the knife and vegetables laid, keeping you pressed against his side for the rest of the afternoon. He let you cling as long as you needed, kissing your hair every so often, silently vowing never to make that kind of joke again.

• Makes him breakfast after first meeting

Will Graham -

Love Language: Will’s love language is Quality Time, with undertones of Physical Touch. He wants nothing more than for you to spend time with him. You could sit in silence, and that would be enough for him. He takes comfort knowing he’s opening his raw, messy mind to you, and you just go along with it. He feels the best when you and him take long strolls by the water, hand in hand, just enjoying each other’s company. His all time favorite thing in the world is coming home after a long day, and just curling up on the couch to watch a cheesy movie, something that he uses to turn his mind off. Despite being mainly Quality Time, he also enjoys Physical Touch. He’s not big into PDA, but loves when you kiss his forehead softly, or hold him in the night after bad dreams. During sex, Will wants to make sure you are appreciated. When he tops, he goes slow, admiring every inch of you. He kisses along your skin softly, letting his beard tingle your skin as he does so. He digs his knuckles into your hips, just rough enough to keep you and himself steady, a bit of possessiveness taking over him. When you top, he can’t even make out a single word. His voice is caught in his throat, letting out babbles and moans. He can’t help but squeeze your breasts, looking at you like a work of art.

He’s also super respectful of you, always holding the car door for you, pulling out your chair, and reluctantly giving you money for you to get your nails done even though he thinks you look beautiful no matter what.

What he dislikes: Will dislikes when your unloyal or betray him. He has a lot of trust issues, so it’s hard for him to open up. When he does, if you lie, even over something small, it could cause him to spiral, and question everything about your relationship.

Hannibal Lecter -

Love Language - Hannibal’s love language is Acts Of Service. Hannibal is a pretty well put together man. He can cook, play music, well off in work and is very tidy. He can take care of himself, but the idea of you helping him makes him feel fuzzy inside. He will never ask for your help, but if you help him cooking, or even organize his papers for work, he is extremely grateful. However, everything you do must be close to his standards. If you organize his work in a way that he isn’t used to, it might as well be useless. If you make him a burnt dinner, you might just end up as his next meal. After awhile of dating, and after he knows he can trust you, he might even let you in on his double life. Keeping his secrets safe, helping him find victims and cleaning up after his murders is the best act of service you can do for him. During sex, he almost always tops. He likes to be the one in control, watching you squirm with pleasure under him. He’s a great lover, and makes you know it. He loves biting, enough to draw blood even. He’d lick the wound with pleasure, as he drove himself into you.

How he gives love: Hannibal shows his love with Gifts and Acts of Service. He loves to spoil you, getting you only the finest perfume, jewels and designer dresses. He wants you to look your best always. He also takes care of you. He cooks dinner for you almost every night, cleans the entire home, and plays beautiful pieces on his harpsichord for you. If someone is bothering you, he will make sure they are taken care of, and no longer around anymore. He does all of this because he wants nothing more than for you to feel safe in his home, despite the violence around him.

What he dislikes: Hannibal dislikes people who are lazy, sloppy and rude. If you’re a hot Cheeto girl, it’s not even happening. He likes when you’re self assured, but classy. You can have a bit of sass, he actually enjoys it, but it has to be done in a way where the two of you can play off each other’s banter. He likes when you’re cool and collected, and if you can’t compose yourself he would find a way to get rid of you.

Jack Crawford -

Love Language: Jacks love language is Words of Affirmation. He works a lot, but always finds time to call you to make sure you’re ok. Even hearing you over the phone tell him you love him makes his whole day. He likes to have conversations, but not always about his work. He likes to hear about your day, and what you’ve been up to. He could listen to you talk for hours. If he feels like something is up, he’s gonna try and talk to you about it. If you just reassure him, that means the world to him, and he can rest easy knowing that you truly love him. During sex, it’s quite bland honestly. He’s past the stage in his life where he wants to impress, instead simple missionary will do. Don’t be fooled however, he still gives you a good time. He loves when you say his name during sex, and in response tells you how beautiful you are. He makes sure to give you lots of kisses too.

How he gives love: Jack gives love with Physical Touch. He loves you, and isn’t afraid to show it. You’re making breakfast in the morning? He’s sneaking up behind you and wrapping you in a big hug. You’re out in public at a coffee date? He’s giving you a passionate kiss like no one is watching. He always makes sure to hold your hand, guide to from place to place. His physical touch is not sexual or greedy, he’s simply showing his love in the most caring, tender ways.

What he dislikes: Jack hates when you withdraw from him. He wants you to tell him everything you are thinking, what’s bothering you, what you’re happy about. If you start to withdraw from him, he gets angry. He’s lost a lot of people in his line of work, and can’t stand to watch someone he loves slowly resent him.

Fredrick Chilton -

Love Language: Fredrick’s love language is words of affirmation. Unlike Jack, he feels love when you praise him. He’s desperate for praise. He wants you to tell him how genius he is, how good of a job he’s doing, brag about him to your girlfriends. While this may seem selfish, he genuinely is always questioned on how good of a job he is doing. He’s told constantly that he’s not good enough, so hearing you say it means everything to him. During sex, he never likes to top. He wants you to. He loves watching your body move, grabbing your ass as you bounce up and down on him. He likes rough sex, pulling hair, slapping, anything rough enough that it stays safe. It’s always quick with Fredrick, but it will be the best 4 minutes you’ll have of your day. It’s always just fun when you have sex with him.

How he shows love: He shows love with Words of Affirmation. He tells you constantly how special you are to him, how he could never find another like you. He loves to brag about you to his friends, will bring you up any chance he gets. Oh he’s getting interviewed for the paper? He’ll make sure to say how lovely you’ve been to him the past couple of weeks. He’s writing a journal for a psychiatric paper? He will dedicate it to his loving girlfriend. He’s sweet like that.

What he dislikes: Fredrick hates when you belittle him, or criticize him. He doesn’t take well to criticism, even if it’s constructive. He hates when anyone thinks poorly of him, and will actively avoid someone who isn’t head over heels for him.
