Summary: Despite the bad blood between the Weasleys and the Malfoys, Romeo and Juliet managed to find their happy ending.
Warning/s: A little steamy scene, physical violence (slapping)
Gryffindor and Slytherin were always known to have bad blood between them.
The feud had been going on for thousands of years through generations and generations of Hogwarts students that were sorted in either of the two houses.
One of the finest examples was the ongoing feud between the Weasley and the Malfoy families.
But sometimes the apple falls a little too far from the tree.
Y/N Malfoy was considered the black sheep of the family.
Even if you donned the same blonde hair and the same grey eyes – you were far from being a Malfoy.
You were the sweetest Slytherin ever and one that had a knack for pranks.
That was what made Frederick Gideon Weasley fall head over heels in love with you in the first place.
--
You were walking to the library, fresh from your Muggle Studies class when you were suddenly pulled into a deserted corridor and pushed against the wall.
“Hello beautiful.” Your dorky but adorably hot boyfriend greeted you with a small smile.
“Hello handsome.” You returned the greeting, looking up at him, “What’s the abduction for?”
“Nothing.” He whispered, brushing his lips against yours, “Is it a crime to see my girlfriend?”
“For our families it is.” You muttered, closing your eyes the minute he brushed his lips against yours again, “Just kiss me already Weasley.”
“And if I don’t?” He challenged with a cheeky grin.
“Then I’ll go back on my way to the library.” You said.
In order to prove a point, you turned to leave but your boyfriend grabbed you by your arm and crashed his lips to yours.
Every kiss with Fred felt like a slice of heaven. The gentle and slow kiss quickly escalated into a passionate and messy.
“Jump.” He whispered, leaving a trail of kisses from ear down to your jaw.
Who were you to disobey him?
You jumped, wrapping your legs around his waist as your back hit the wall, your boyfriend leaving his mark on you.
“You like this don’t you, princess.” Fred said, causing shivers to travel through your body, “You like the thought of someone catching us here huh? Someone catching a Weasley ruining a Malfoy.”
All coherent thoughts flew out of your mind as you whimpered, “Yes Freddie, please.”
Fred was halfway to pushing your skirt up when you heard a familiar voice call,
“Y/N?”
The moment you had a peek of platinum blonde hair, you immediately detached yourself from your boyfriend, absolutely mortified, “Draco please.”
“What’re you doing?” He asked, a look of betrayal on coating his features, “S-snogging a Weasley?”
“Draco, please.” You pleaded to your younger brother, “I can explain.”
But he was barely listening to you as he charged towards Fred and started pushing him, provoking him, “What did you do, huh? You slipped her a potion, didn’t you? You did it to get back at us, didn’t you? What were going to do? Knock her up and you’re going to breakup with her the moment you were successful?”
Your boyfriend didn’t fight back – Draco’s blows had no effect on him anyway.
You exchanged a look with him before pulling your brother away from his feeble attempts to hurt Fred, “Draco please, just listen to me for a minute.”
“Don’t you understand?!” He asked, shaking you vigorously, “He drugged you! That Weasel drugged you!”
You shook your head at him, “No, Draco. He didn’t drug me. I love him.”
Your brother refused to believe it, “No! You don’t! He’s a blood traitor Y/N! You don’t love him!’
“I do Draco.” You insisted, “I don’t care about his blood status! I love him, Draco.”
“You really are a disgrace.” He muttered, “How could you do this?”
That’s when Fred stepped forward, “Don’t you talk to your sister like that.”
“You cannot tell me what to do and what not to do.” He spat.
You moved to stand in between them before a fight could break out, “Freddie, I got this.”
“Draco, I can’t control what you think about me now, but I only have one favor to ask you. Please don’t tell mum and dad about this. Let me be happy, Draco.” You said, seeing your brother soften slightly.
“Okay.” He said softly, “But just because it makes you happy.”
--
“I’m going to miss you.” Fred whined, holding on to you for a bit longer before you had to board the train that would take you home.
“Freddie,” you cooed, running a hand through his hair, “It’s just for the summer. I’ll write every day and I’ll try to sneak out sometimes so we can go on a date.”
“You promise?” He said.
You giggled, pressing a kiss to his cheek, “I promise.”
The minute you boarded the train, you and Fred had to go your separate ways as to avoid suspicion from your classmates and your parents.
Entering the compartment where your brother occupied, you sat across him. His gaze remained fixated on the window.
He had avoided you for the past few weeks. And you know the reason why.
The majority of the journey home was spent in silence – until Draco spoke up, “Does he really make you happy?”
“Yeah.” You said.
He returned his gaze to the window, “Then, I’m okay with it.”
When the two of you had arrived at King’s Cross – you immediately spot your parents. You caught a glimpse of an enthusiastic Mrs. Weasley greeting Fred with a hug and you wondered whether you would’ve been given the same welcome had they knew the truth.
--
Two weeks into summer vacation and you couldn’t wait for the new school year – mainly because of your boyfriend and partly because of the boringness of the Malfoy household.
You were currently in the study, writing a response to the letter Fred had just sent you.
You were so immersed in it, that you didn’t notice someone had entered the room.
“Who are you writing to?” Your mother asked, coming up from behind you – causing you to jump.
“No one important.” You said, immediately flipping the parchment over, “Just a friend.”
She gave you a look that you couldn’t quite read before taking a book from one of the shelves and headed out of the room.
The next day, you went down to the dining room – you felt your blood run cold as you saw your mother and father examining a stack of parchment.
Once they saw you, your father walked towards you and the next thing you knew, his palm collided with your cheek.
“Father!” Draco said, immediately running to your side.
“How dare you!” He spat, “Having that blood traitor as your boyfriend?” He said the last word like it was the most disgusting word that ever existed.
“Was there something we did wrong?” Your mother asked.
“No!” You said, “What is it to you guys if his family doesn’t believe in the pureblood supremacy? I love him. Shouldn’t that be what matters?”
Lucius glared at you, “I want you to break up with him right now! And that is not a request!”
“I won’t!” You said firmly, “He is literally my whole world and I will not break up with him no matter what any of you say!”
He pointed towards, the door, “Then leave. You don’t want to break up with him? Then I refuse to have a daughter who is a traitor. You were never a true Malfoy anyway.”
Throwing the last of your stuff into your trunk, you closed it with a sharp snap. Finally relieved, that you would be getting out of this place.
“You’re really leaving?”
You turned to see your younger brother leaning against the doorframe of your room.
Nodding, you said, “You know that mother and father always wanted a son.”
“I’ll miss you.” He admitted quietly.
You pulled him into a quick hug, “Even if mum and dad disowned me and would practically burn up all evidence that we’re ever related. I’ll still be your sister.”
--
You had been contemplating whether or not you should opt to apparate over to your boyfriend’s house – seeing as now, you had no place to stay.
It’s not like you had any other option.
You closed your eyes and tried to imagine the Weasley’s house as best as you could with the knowledge of how Fred had described it to you.
Dizziness overcome you for a moment, your surroundings started to spin and the next thing you knew – your feet touched solid ground.
Opening your eyes, you saw the house in front of you. It was slightly tilting to the side, looking as if it was held up by magic. Which, it might actually be.
You dragged your trunk to the door but you couldn’t bring yourself to knock. Your hand hesitantly hovered over the door, taking a deep breath – you closed your eyes and knocked quickly.
Shuffles could be heard from the inside before the door opened and revealed your boyfriend.
Fred smiled at the sight of you, but instantly became worried the moment he saw your trunk.
“What happened?” He asked, taking the trunk from you, “Is there something wrong?”
“My parents kicked me out.” You whispered, “They wanted me to break up with you and since I refused to – they disowned me.”
“I am so sorry sweetheart.” He said, pulling you into a hug, “Come on, let’s get you inside.”
He took your trunk and brought it inside when he saw that you were hesitant – he gave your hand a reassuring squeeze, “Don’t worry princess, they’ll love you.”
“Who was it, Fred?” The voice of Mrs. Weasley only made your nerves worst as she came into view, the smile that she wore disappeared.
“Fred, what is she doing here?” She asked, not even bothering to cover up the change of her tone.
“Mum,” Fred said, pulling you closer to him, “this is my girlfriend.”
The chaotic chatter that had been there when you entered was now coated with silence.
“Fred, what’re you talking about?” She said, “She’s a Malfoy!”
“I’m sorry Mrs. Weasley.” You said, not being able to look at her, “I just need somewhere to stay for a day or two. Then I can find a room at Diagon Alley or something.”
“What is she talking about, Fred?” Mr. Weasley asked, noticing the green trunk in Fred’s hand.
“Her parents disowned her.” He answered, further defending me from his parents, “Her parents wanted her to breakup with me, but she didn’t. And this is what it caused her.”
The silence started to grow uncomfortable, Mrs. Weasley’s glare on you not wavering.
“Look,” Fred sighed, “I know the Malfoys have done a lot of unpleasant things to us, but can’t you see that she’s different? Her parents wouldn’t have disowned her – if she was just like them. You can’t define her by her what her family does. If you can’t accept that, then you can’t change my mind because I love her with my whole entire being. No matter what you think, she’s still my girl.”
You could’ve been hallucinating but you could’ve sworn that Mrs. Weasley’s gaze on you softened.
Receiving no sort of response or violent reaction from any of his parents or even his siblings.
“Come on darling,” He suddenly said, taking your hand and turning around, “let’s go.”
“Wait!” Mrs. Weasley stopped the two of you could leave, “I think we should give her a chance.”
Fred smiled, “Thank you, mum.”
Mrs. Weasley walked towards you, cupping your face in her hands and brushing a stray strand away from your eyes before pulling you into a tight hug,
“Welcome to the family, Y/N.”
