Welcome to Oshie

Hello and welcome to the official Oshie.co blog, the source for the latest updates, news and info about Oshie.

What is Oshie?

Oshie is the result of having worked in Japan teaching English for Nova (for shame) and was built to fill the gap between Eikaiwa schools and sites such as Find a Teacher . Its purpose is to help those freelance teachers, however many students they may have, to have a system that allows them to keep a record of their students, the feedback & content that they discuss during their lessons. It's in a very early stage of development, and will be opening soon to the first round of beta testers to help improve things.

So When will it be ready?

Oshie.co is designed to show you how Oshie should look in the next 3-6 months, initially there will be less features available to beta testers but these will be implemented and we hope to be fully up and running within 6 months. A lot will depend on the features that the beta testers decide are useful and what they'd like adding.

Beta Testers? Sounds important

Beta Testing is a common way to get users using a system early on, saving the developers time and effort by seeing what users actually want rather than making what they think is best. Oshie will be opening up to beta testers soon, hopefully before November.
