"Working" from home with my dog.
I’m protesting
There is no way in HELL im doing the optional online classes or google classroom “extra help work” poster on the website from my teachers
Let me explain
There are kids and families in my county don’t have access to electronics/ computers/ smart phones
the idea that all students need to do a “virtual lesson” to “maintain our learning” so we don’t “fall behind” makes sence logically,
However this idea acknowledges and blantenly ignores the fact that there are students in the same district in the same schools in the same classrooms who don’t even have the OPPORTUNITY to do the “extra practice” because of the lack of electronics/ internet in their homes
Its disgusting
Call me whatever you want but I refuse to take advantage of a system that doesn’t benefit everyone within.

This week was insane. I am absolutely drained: I am burned out, exhausted, and overwhelmed. The best thing for me tonight is to get some solid sleep, go to work tomorrow, and then go home and relax.
Goodnight everybody! <3
The one good thing about virtual classes is how my zoom meetings have turned into a 90's to mid 2000's radio station.

🔊Yo solo quiero pegar en la radio, para ganar mi primer millón🎶
Alto: MG, where are your eyebrows?
Alto’s Mom: RUDE! No one asks where your face is!
I challenge all teachers to consider how they can continue to use technology to best reach their introverted students.
My quiet students — those who don't enjoy speaking up — did well in virtual classrooms compared to their extroverted peers.
