• their favorite place to be?

Aesin loves his gardens and greenhouse, the one he's in charge of at the Kelemvor Monastery. That is his favorite place to be, among his cultivated flowers and his orchard and his trees. Technically the whole outside grounds is in his wheelhouse so the graveyard landscaping is immaculate as well.

Even while on his little tadpole adventure, the other clerics take care of the grounds because they know if he comes back to his gardens looking like a neglected wreck he will have all their heads.

• how would you describe their voice? can they sing?

Aesin’s voice is definitely on the lower end of baritone. He's not prone to yelling or even raising his voice much so it's also quite smooth as well. His accent contains an Irish lilt, I've described it as honey on gravel before.

Cleric!Aesin can't sing. Chanting for prayers is the best he can do, he stay on beat if it's simple but there's no way he's a singer and he won't even attempt it.

The modern Band version of Aesin can definitely sing, but doesn't most of the time. He will sing on stage once a year and he sounds pretty good. Not enough lung capacity so he's not going to be belting out anything too powerful and there's no high notes to be found.

In game Aesin just has the deepest male coded voice.

• how would your character describe themselves? it doesn't have to line up with how they really are.

Aesin would describe himself as “Nothing spectacular, I'm a fairly skilled horticulturalist. Oh, and a vested cleric of Kelemvor. I probably should have led with that.”

Well here's the other guy.

This is the oldest son, Aenithir. A Drow Paladin that has taken an Oath of Vengeance. He's actually a single player copy of the one I'm using with my friends in multiplayer. That is his Guardian in the bg lmaoooo another badass with face tats.

Aenithir is young for an elf, 194. I put his birthday during the events of the game in the beginning of Act 2 because why not. He's Lawful Neutral which is technically not allowed for Paladins (I think they're supposed to be Lawful Good full stop) but I do what I want and I personally think the Oath of Vengeance leaves some room for grey morality since it's different from Oathbreakers.

Even though he's a Lolth sworn Drow, he left Menzoberanzzan maybe two years after he turned 100. His last name is noticeably absent when he introduces himself and he won't comment or give one when prompted. If you were to ask him about his family and he's in a good mood, he'll simply tell you that "Anyone worth anything in my family is dead." If you ask when he's in a bad mood he'll just glare at you in pointed silence until you shrivel up inside and leave the conversation. The only way to get him to open up about that chapter of his life is to get him proper drunk and even then it might not work.

The truth is that he killed his family but not like a serial killer or anything so simple as for wanton murder. As a Vengeance Paladin he pretty much acts as judge jury and executioner (cough vigilante). In the course of his duties, he got word about some corrupted dealings that his family was facilitating. Normally that wouldn't mean anything to a Drow in general, and especially not to Aenithir since he's one of the younger ones of his clan and has never been involved in anything illegal. But the Paladin part of him couldn't let it go. He investigated further and found out the truth that basically led him to the conclusion that his whole family, from the top down had to be eradicated. "To get rid of rot, you must find it at the source and cleanse it with fire." is how he'll describe the thought process.

Obviously, Aenithir is very much in favor of the idea of hunting down and killing you if you're Wrong. Now his definition of Wrong is his own of course but that lends itself well to his Oath. "There's only one cure for [insert whatever injustice he's witnessed or minor annoyance he has at the time]. Murder." This applies to corrupt politicians and slavers but it also applies to people who would cut in line in front of him at the grocery store or some shit. The dude is kind of intense. Luckily for everyone around him, he's got a lot of self awareness and defaults to scathing insults when he realizes a situation is not actually one that calls for a beatdown.

This means he doesn't have a lot of friends unless they're of the same mind. He gets along famously with Laezel for obvious reasons and he also gets along with Wyll since they both have a strong predisposition to defend someone's honor and both men will do what they think is right even if it means uhhhhhh pledging yourself to a devil or killing your whole evil family.

He hasn't romanced anyone but he has high approval with everyone. I could probably have him romance Astarion bc I'm a slut and also they would bond over being unwillingly attached to evil incarnate. Aenithir would boost Astarion's confidence about the whole slaying Cazador thing, even taking up the mantle officially as a Paladin. He would offer safety and protection while Astarion would just Get Aenithir in a way not many would and I'm not just talking about their shared tendency towards dark humor. They would definitely commiserate over having to do things you don't want to do in order to survive and Aenithir would relate to Astarion's reckless enjoyment of previously off-limit things because he was the exact same when he left the Underdark and was officially on his own for the first time ever.

Aenithir's endgame is to go back to adventuring. He would like to stay close with the other Tadfools but would understand if they drift apart because he's (afraid to) learned not to form deeper attachments. If he ever romances someone he would panic a little because he wouldn't want to leave them behind but he also is deeply afraid that the situation with his family will repeat, only this time with a partner.

And he knows he wouldn't be able to do it, he wouldn't be able to kill them. And that would make him an Oathbreaker. And he is afraid that that singular idea, of him becoming an oathbreaker for a romantic partner but not for his own family, doesn't actually scare him as much as he thinks it should.

So he remains maidenless. Lmao.

21. something you’ve kept since childhood?

I have photo albums including my baby album.. And some christmas decorations that we used to put up every year when I was a child, those I'm really fond of. Also my old bratz dolls are somewhere.

22. what type of person are you?

I'm really quiet and shy, I rarely talk to people first except for my friends. It's the same online too, though I'm trying to get better at talking. But I'm not a doormat kind of person, I'll bring up and challenge problems if I see them.
