🌶 GARDEN FRESH SALSA 🍅

When your neighbor gifts you fresh produce from their garden, you make salsa!

1/2 cup onion

1 clove garlic

1 jalapeno (use 1/2 for mild-medium salsa)

3 cups fresh tomatoes

1/4 tsp himalayan salt

1/4 tsp ground cumin

1/2 cup fresh cilantro

Juice from 1/2 lime

Optional: pinch of stevia

Pulse ingredients in food processor until reaching desired consistency.

What a nice looking Mexican market – shiny, clean, wide aisles. You’ll also find all kinds of prepared foods, fresh juice, churros made there, a case of Thrifty Ice Cream, a bakery, tortilleria, empanadas, pan dulce, tamales, soups, hot food bar, etc. You can order burritos, tacos, and tortas. Buy cooked meat by the pound. They’ll make guacamole to order at the guacamole bar. The meat/seafood department is staffed. You can deli salads, sandwiches, and pupusas in the refrigerated case.

The produce has a five-day freshness guarantee. There’s also a bank/check cashing place inside. Prices are higher but it’s a nicer market.

Fresh Salsa

(My own recipe that I just thought of but its probably nothing new)

Ingredients: One medium-large tomato, half an onion, basil, cilantro, a lime, jalapeno(optional), 1-2 garlic cloves. 

How to:  Chop the tomato and onion into small pieces. Finely cut up the basil, cilantro, and jalapeno. Mince the garlic and add all into a bowl. Squeeze lime juice over the top. (add a bit of vinegar if wanted)

Garlic: Protection, healing, banishing, purification...  

Lime: Protection, healing, positivity, purification, love, calmness...

Basil: love, wealth, protection, prosperity...

Cilantro: protection, peace...

Onion: prosperity, stability, protection, banish negativity...

Tomato: love...
