What do u think about Mailstock(Home/Eddie) dynamic and ship potential

Let’s talk!

Let’s start with the Canon.

So, the main interaction between these two that we are aware of is The Homewarming Incident.

Many interpret this as Home intimidating and/or threatening Eddie in some way.

Aside from this incident, Home and Eddie are not often seen interacting, if at all.

Now, let’s talk about their potential as a couple (in this case, a romantic pairing).

They have a decent amount of potential, as Eddie would be able to come by quite frequently to say hello. Not only this, but Eddie’s warm demeanor means he will most likely want to stay for as long as he can to keep Home company, which means that he also may spend more time with Wally, keeping the artist happy too.

So, I do believe the ship is nice. I personally do not ship it, however I will respect those who do.

Also, Mailstock is quite the nice name for them! I would have thought that is the ship name for Howdy and Eddie!

We tried out a couple "new" games we got for Christmas! (We've played them before, but always in a different state. Now we have them as well.) It was fun getting reacquainted with those.

Thinking of soft Aizawa who keeps his cow hybrid reader so well groomed, happy and sated.

They eat well and he keeps them nice and full. He coos when they make such cute faces and holds them close when they cry about how both the bulls and full humans in the neighborhood around are so mean.

He breeds them himself complimenting their tail and hooves and ears alongside their sweet human features; delighting in the mooing and gasping at his rough hands and grinding.

He doesn’t mind the partial judgment that he’s so romantic to them - one dirty look from his dry red eyes and everyone shuts up. He can’t ever regret marrying his favorite when he sees them pregnant, breastfeeding their first little baby boy his with human features plus a little cow tail and floopy white ears.

And of course he loves that their milk now is so clean, warm, sweet and rich and saved all for him to take. 🥺

Hmm this feels so warm and cute to me.

He probably accidentally intimidated the bulls with how spoiled his precious cow is. Always talking about him and gushing about how great he is.

It’s a lot and was off putting but no matter, if they can’t appreciate them he’ll do it himself and happily so.

As far as he’s concerned he’s won the lottery with them and the little family they’ve started.

Also definitely develops an addiction to their milk

I've been seeing an uptick in blogs that are self identified self shippers, but they have proship in their dni list.

I don't have a firm grasp on what self shipper means to these people, but to me it seems even more hypocritical than usual.

Don't antis find stuff like self shipping to be problematic?

Not necessarily. In my experience most negative talk around self shipping is that it's seen as cringe and pathetic to pine so hard for a character that you write/read self insert and not that it's destructive to society to do so. Anti's often find specific subject matter/taboos to be amoral because they're convinced fiction consumption = endorsement = reality. But tons of anti's still simp for fictional characters and enjoy self shipping because of it. They just draw arbitrary lines on who it's okay to shelf ship with or who's allowed to self ship with a certain character.

In fact I often worry self ship communities are able to house a large number of antis invisibly because, when there isn't a second canon character involved, there often is less obvious discourse about things like age gaps or toxic canon relationship apologia that you see in anti circles for standard shipping to let you know who the antis are.

20. If you could change the color of one thing in the world, what thing would it be and what color would you choose? Hmm, I’m gonna be a bit superficial, I think, and say that I’d change my hair color, to a dark chestnut color. I’m not hating the blonde-grey I’ve got now, but I wouldn’t mind looking a little younger 🙈

31. What is your favorite flower?

The wood anemone (vitsippa). In the spring in Sweden it’s everywhere, covering forest floors. It’s small and delicate, and amazing.

32. Have you ever been to another country, other than the one you live in? Yeah, I’ve been to a few. Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, the UK, Spain (the Canary Islands) and Tunisia. I actually prefer to stay in Sweden, though.
