for the record, i read your anole post and noticed that you mentioned leaving water out for a day to dechlorinate it; that's a myth, sorry to say! good news is that it's highly unlikely that any water fit for human consumption would hurt a scalie, and if you're super worried Reptisafe is a reputable and widely available product. (but kind of unnecessary from my research. i use it anyway, call it a placebo.) just letting you know, since it's a pretty prominent bit of misinformation.

I’d heard it was kind of a myth- that it won’t mess up your lizards or anything- but I always did it just to be safe because the water where I grew up is awful (boil orders happen frequently!) and the water where I went to college is even worse. (Back in college I kept cases of distilled water because the tap water was so gross.) I should go back and edit that in there, though; thanks for catching it!

I was handling a baby sand boa the other day at a ReptiCon and it kept making an odd movement where it would push its head sideways into my hand? Like, not to hide in between fingers, just into the flat of my palm. The seller said it was trying to burrow, is that the behavior it was displaying, or was it telling me to politely put it down and sod off?

It was most likely trying to burrow, which I think, in a way, is telling you to 'sod off', as you put it. :)

In addition to cross-breed traits, I also imagine that breed change scrolls would often fail to enact a complete change; the older the dragon, the more so. So sometimes a dragon born a Guardian but breed changed to a Pearlcatcher might retain some out-of-place frills, or its charge, or a luscious beard.
