New adventure for Discomfort zone!/ Nuova avventura per Zona di sconforto
A DISCOMFORTABLE GREETING TO ALL OF YOU! I finally decided to open a new Tumblr for the editorial project of Zona di Sconforto, replacing the old account that was only secondary to another.
In this way, I will be able to use the platform in the best possible way, increasing the possibility of expanding the audience and interacting with all of you.
Now I will have to create new content (and reupload the old ones) specific to this platform. It will be a huge job, but I hope it will be worth it!
Tumblr will be used, as I have already explained previously in other places, to deepen some posts of the main blog (http://zonadisconforto.blogspot.com) and to create specific posts for the platform, trying to favor microblogging and the experimental graphic aspect: therefore, there will be experimentation in all fields, putting the arguments into practice in some way, doing research on the sources, making meta-reflections, reviewing things, discussing issues without creating original argumentative texts, so to speak.
I therefore hope to see many of you on this platform and to make us uncomfortable, in an edifying way, of course, all together!

Royal Palace of Caserta
Royal Palace of Caserta Part I
June 23, 2021 :: The Royal Palace of Caserta is a place that defies what you think you know about money and the 0.01%. This is a place built by kings with limitless wealth on such a grand scale that it's honestly surreal. Just to get to the throne room, anyone wishing to see the king would have to traverse room after room after room of humbling grandeur. These rooms were filled with men at arms at the ready. It's bizarre to think of such spaces as barracks but indeed these guards spent most of their lives there.
The palace is north of Naples in what is now a pretty run down area. Combining the influences of Versaille, Rome, and Tuscany's finest villas, the palace was designed according to the wishes of Charles of Bourbon III and his architect Luigi Vanvitelli. Vanvitelli is regarded as one of the best 18th Century architects and the palace is a triumph of the Baroque Era. It spans 11 acres and it will take more than one post to cover it. I fell in love with the ceilings and I spent most of my time looking up. Each room is a unique creation from wallpaper to tile to gilded fresco.
More pictures soon!
