ok this chapter fucked me up because first of all gray is pissing me (and everyone) off.

like seriously?????????? why?????????? gray you chicken shit.

i felt like gray knew that he deserved a slap from lucy which is why he didn’t retaliate or try to dodge. obviously he expected to be punched my natsu (because what else did they do to each other when they were in ft?), but notice how he didn’t attack with his ice magic?

argh this obsession with e.n.d. is leaning too close to sasuke uchiha territory and i don’t like it.

there were lots of slight looks gray had, like when natsu mentioned juvia, or when jerome had the sword to lucy’s neck (his eyes were closed and he looked very conflicted by his body language). idk maybe we are all reading into it too much but let me live in my fantasy land where gray is not evil ok pls.

fucking mary tho, that bitch messed with the wrong mage. argh i hate how lucy is always the leverage, or tortured for whatever reason (like in gmg by minerva). mashima pls get some new ideas.

the gale (gajevy) moment was nice, but we need backstory.

ok secondly gray insulting ft is what really riled me up. not that he erased his guild mark (he would have to do that for obvious reasons if he was joining avatar).

that started a fking shit storm. like seriously gray shut the fuck up. what the fuck is wrong with you. at that moment i wanted lucy to use her celestial magic to fuck shit up. i wanted her to do more than just slap him.

i wanted her to punch him to the floor and not stop until her stomachache caused her to. im glad gray’s eyes turned back to normal for a sec though.

ok but let’s talk about juvia for a sec. in this chapter, and the one before this, we saw a frail, broken shell of the juvia that was once a part of ft. and the reason for it?

gray. not just gray leaving. gray growing distant, getting demon marks, everything. gray is TOXIC for juvia. but she loves him too much to notice. gray is the reason juvia is lying sick in that bed. i want juvia to get passed her obsession with gray - her DEVOTION to him, and i want it to evolve into genuine love and affection that is REQUITED.

i’ve always seen juvia as gray’s light. as we saw her at the end of the tartaros arc, gray leaned on her for support.in my opinion that’s the REAL gruvia. that’s the ship im sailing.

she is probably the only one other than natsu who can save him at this point. but i just dont want gray mistreating and USING her love for him in some twisted way to get her on his side. then all hope for a real gruvia will be thrown out the window, and it will be reduced to a toxic relationship.

i want to see her like she was in the last chapter of the tartaros arc, with gray broken in her arms. when she’s the strong one and it’s him who needs her.

that’s the gruvia that i ship - where they both need EACH OTHER, not some lovesick girl pining after a boy who can’t love her back.

anyway, i hope we get more action and information next chapter (a double chapter!!!) god ive never dealt with the agony of waiting for a chapter lmao. i just finished reading the sun village + tartaros + avatar in three days. xD

You know what else is great about Natsu telling Gray that Juvia’s waiting?

Right now, Gray is probably thinking “Why?” And not just “Why would she still love me after what I’ve done.” No, he’s probably thinking “Why is she waiting,” as in “Why is she not here.” He knows that he’s been found, he knows that Natsu and Lucy have spoken to Juvia, and he knows that Juvia is aware of their mission and is waiting for their return. He also knows that Juvia does not just sit and wait. He knows that Juvia would have insisted on coming after him. If she’s waiting, she must still love him, and if she loves him, she would want to help get him back. Even if she didn’t love him anymore, he knows from their first fight that a Juvia scorned is a Juvia out to kick your ass. If he meant to break her heart and force her to get over him, and assumes he’s been successful, then Juvia’s had six months to stew.

So he’ll be wondering what stopped her from coming with Natsu and Lucy (also remember that they haven’t mentioned who else they’ve found, i.e. Wendy). Maybe he’s even considering that she did come and is in some other part of the Avatar HQ right now, waiting for him after participating in some other imaginary facet of the “Get Gray Back” mission.

More on Levy McGarden

If you haven’t seen the latest chapter, keep scrolling. There are spoilers.

One of the biggest complaints about Levy is that her relationship with Gajeel is making her neglect Shadow Gear. If you have seen my post about favorite shippings, I did recognize this. However, I think that this chapter has brought this issue in a new light.

I think it’s awesome that Levy and Gajeel are in the council together. But what does this mean about Shadow Gear? Did Shadow Gear disband with Fairy Tail or is Shadow Gear still alive? We know from chapter 418 that Jet and Droy are together. Was Levy kicked out of Shadow Gear or did she leave of her own will? 

Ultimately, we don’t know. While it would be easy to blame Levy for caring for more about Gajeel than Jet and Droy, they are not free from fault. In last week’s episode, they chose to do a job without Levy. A job, mind you, that Gajeel and Pantherlily were already working on. 

Does this mean they are all to blame? No. I do agree that Gajevy does put tension on Shadow Gear. I believe this is more the reason she is in the council than feelings for Gajeel. 

But this is only my opinon.

As painful as it it to say, maybe Juvia's the one going into cardiac arrest or something similar next chapter. She's sick AND heartbroken. Just a thought.

Fairy Tail 428 Thoughts

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you a new Fairy Tail chapter for the week of April 13, 2015. So this week has some good points to talk about and a lot to look forward to in the incoming double chapters. As of right now though let’s focus on this chapter.

I’m skipping the Wendy/Juvia interaction for now because FIGHT! Natsu vs Gray Round 1 began and it wasn't that bad of brawl. It was really cool to see, and it looks like they are on equal levels in terms of power. Neither gave an inch to the other. Even through all the friendship talk it still was a fair fight. The friendship talk was probably the only option Natsu had (besides beating the crap out of Gray). But the point here was Gray telling Natsu to leave it alone, to forget about reviving Fairy Tail because everyone has moved to there own path. Natsu said it himself, Fairy Tail is in their hearts, but Gray without missing a beat tells him why can’t he leave it at that. Natsu is holding on to the past while everyone around him moves forward. Whether Gray’s motivation’s are his own (clearly they’re not) has yet to be seen. At this point it’s hard to tell what could bring him back to normal. Natsu knows why Gray is acting like he is because he states that he is being possessed by demons. I wonder how Natsu knows so much about being possessed by demons? (Answer: he is one). Natsu and Gray both were great this chapter. Gray is doing fantastic has the anti-hero, while Natsu is trying to be the hero who can’t let go.

Lucy deserves a standing ovation this week. Although she was later a ploy to restrain Natsu and Virgo, she had the biggest guts out of Natsu and Happy. Gray mentions how essentially they aren't friends anymore and Lucy gets pissed. So, she slaps him and means it too. You can try to beat sense into someone, but the reality is the fact that it can only do so much. In this case you have to be real and genuine and with Lucy that is exactly what you get. Her side of the emotion is real and that was probably her only option to bring Gray back, but unfortunately that didn’t work. What will work? It’s not fighting, not talking, or even bringing up the past. It has be something bigger than what we think.

As far as those two things goes, Gajeel gets ready to move on to Avatar’s position with the return of Levy! It’s great to see her this early, and she is with Gajeel on the council which is cool. Wendy and Juvia’s part was...okay. Natsu and co. get restrained by a revived Avatar. I knew Mary was going to be a sadistic bitch from the beginning. Last week’s one-shots didn’t keep Abel and that other dude down for long though as assumed. Next week is Code Blue, and I've seen the meaning of it, but I’m going to go into it open-minded cause anything can happen in Fairy Tail. Where was Briar and Arlock? I guess Levy was the spy instead of one of the main members. Anyways let me know what ya’ll thought of this week’s chapter. Thanks for reading
