Location: Bathhouse With: Open

He needed the chance to breathe for a bit. The first step toward some positive changes had to be changing up the habits that typically kept him... Far away from actual progress with that. Hiding away in the kitchens, stifling his feels by working through recipes and avoiding actually feeling them wouldn't help this time. Or, at least, that was how he was deciding to run with it. Instead, he'd headed to the training area, worked out some of the pent up tension that had been building beneath the surface. He mostly attributed that to new powers to try and work with, and afterward?

Took the opportunity to crash in one of the open air baths offered at the bath house while it was still relatively early in the day. Slow breathes taken, head settled back against the edge as he just... Breathed. Gustave needed to change. Find his feet more than he had.

"Wasn't expecting anybody else to be up this early." An easy comment offered to the padding footsteps he could hear heading in his direction.

It's wrong.

The rhythm in his chest, the warmth beneath his skin, the looks thrown his way as he spoke to people in passing. It's wrong. No metronome, no steady tick tock of time passing by in his veins. It's different, and it's... It doesn't take long to figure out whose skillset he'd been gifted with. To let logic dictate other's would be experiencing this, like some lingering will in the air. Punished for others decisions seemed to track.

The wings were handy, at least. Feathery things erupting from his shoulders when trying to reach for an escape, and letting him at least shove himself to a roof rather than a cabin. Feet dangling off the edge, and hoping people didn't look up. Didn't look at him.

Did what he could to ignore how it lingered in his chest again. Love lost.

Location: The Lake With: Open

He'd consider it part of his training, if somebody took the opportunity to call him out on the fact he was currently sunk beneath the waters of the lake. He knew that there was some connection to the underworld, and there had certainly been threats of drowning with it depending on how the Ambrosia ha gone, but he pushed most of that aside in favour of getting some swimming practice in. He wasn't exactly confident and it seemed like quests could take them anywhere.

"Am I offering a free show for you, or is there some feedback coming?" He'd only noticed them briefly during a pass of the shore, and on his return from his make shift goal posts he'd slowed to treat water. He was out of breath, so the chance to slow down for a minute was a welcome one.

Location: Training Grounds With: Open

Worth. It wasn't exactly something that Calvin had spent much of his time thinking about before the Trial. Was he worthy of demigodhood, was he a worthy heir to divinity, was he worthy of his powers. It had never really been something he thought about because he was just... Doing. Fighting, protecting, helping. He had power, he used that to make things better. There wasn't worth tied to it.

But it had still felt like a burden alleviated when he'd heard the words. Felt the embrace. Lost himself for a stolen moment in time in seeing his divine parent there. A moment for them. And every time he adjusted his hold upon Orodeíktis, it felt like he could live it again. He was worthy.

"Let's see what you got." The weight was lighter than the other sword's he'd seen of this length at least. Adjusting it in his hand, feeling for it. It meant hour hand, right? It's what had at least prompted him to test it with his other blade. And then began the process. Swing, after swing, after swing. Comparing the weight in each hand, what felt more intended.

"Am I making for an interesting show?" A flash of a grin, head turning toward the figure he'd maybe finally caught sight of. Out of breath, sweating, but satisfied at least.

Location: Training Grounds With: Open

New sword? Check. New shoes? Check. Need to prove himself worthy of the praise that people kept tossing his way because he didn't feel like he'd actually earned it?

Like. Twenty checks and underlined three times.

Calvin just needed the distraction of something. Any time he stopped, the gears in his head started churning up new things to worry about, so he just kept moving. It was at least useful as motivation to push himself. Setting up a few dummies, and throwing a couple of different coloured cones on the top of each, he planned. Blue cone for the biggest guy. Red for the small fry. Green for one of the guys in back, and yellow for the other one he'd put back there.

His plan was to go dashing through, figure out how best to break a basic formation and start working his way up. It was half way through getting ready to move that his heels clicked together.

And he went sprinting way faster than expected, hit one of the benches behind his make shift spread, and ended up head over heels on the other side staring up at somebody.

"T-That was part of the plan?"

In his defence, even when he was down, it never took him long to bounce back. Admittedly, his mother's visit had something to do with that, a connection he'd never really figured out how to lean in to. Never had a mom to suddenly be filled by divine footfalls. Beyond that? Divine approval to keep being him even without necessarily needing it.

He's not sure if that approval had taken in to consideration the newest addition to his arsenal, but he was running with it. Or, flying with it as the case may be. Responsible enough to stick mostly to the training grounds, but after a while, well, he ended up in the current position of searching the grounds for a suitable spot.

"Yip yip." Command word murmured as he, clearly familiar to some degree with getting on a skateboard, he managed to mount the blade before it hit the floor, catching himself with a grin. "Okay magic is awesome."

Location; Amphitheatre With; Anyone

Calvin hadn't had a good reason to play since arriving at camp. Training, helping out, sleeping off the training, panicking, getting kidnapped in the middle of the night, sleeping off whatever fight he got dragged in to. It was a constant stream of distraction, but when the times got quieter his head got... Well it got louder instead. An anxious little whisper here and there. What if Odin saw you? What if Atropos comes to collect you? What if you can't help anybody because of a dumb decision?

What if you didn't belong here?

So, seeing it there, up on the stage, probably preparations for a show or something, he pushed the thoughts out with something that came far more naturally. Two sticks in hand, it was easy to start playing, a quiet murmur of the lyrics to keep time. No thoughts to who might be around, no thought... At all, really.

"As I move my feet toward your body, I can hear this beat. It fills my head up and get's louder, and louder."

Gabriel's aware of how he must look. There was still a roar in the air, still so much that could go wrong, but leaving his hands idle and recovering naturally fell to the wayside the more people that were brought in. While he wasn't exactly a trained professional, he'd picked up enough pointers from those that were to offer what assistance he could, even if it was just running back and forth for whatever supplies they could muster. Lending a comforting ear, or helping move an individual.

By the time he's done, he's been there a solid few hours, and it's starting to wear on him. Stepping outside in to the fresh airs about all the rest he's planning on giving himself before heading back in to continue being an over eager pair of hands, only to spot somebody nearby. The brave face comes naturally, the lingering sting of wounds nudged aside.

"Hey, need any help?" Gabriel keeps it general, offers the most relaxed smile he can muster. Just. Pushing it down. The lingering reminder of what had been lost, and what all of this meant.

Keep his hands busy.
